Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

Hello again! :)

Mango has has some LST training to get the quad started. While the upper arms are so small, there’s not much training to be done. As they grow out, but aren’t strong enough for ties yet, I use LST of leaf tucking, as soon as the lower nodes are tall enough to reach.

It’s a little tough to explain, but I tuck the leaves of the upper nodes beneath the leaves of the lower nodes. This holds the upper nodes open. They do loosen themselves after a couple days, so I just tuck it again.

You can see here the lower leaves are holding the upper nodes open.

And in one last piece of news, it was getting a little crowded, so I got them all moved into the 4x4.

At least two of them are due to uppot. I’m thinking I might try out 5 gallon bags this time? I’m not sure. I hate fighting humidity issues at the end, which is a big reason I go with 3 gallon. But I’m wondering if it will be okay with only 4 plants in there this time around? Still tbd.

Well that’s all that’s happened lately. I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe out there.

Nifty leaf tucking procedure, HH!
That should help to get those little top branches past the "breaks off real easy" phase :)
Nice group shot- that's a healthy looking bunch!

I'm all caught up, HH, and you are doing a fantastic job getting kushy wit' it!

I will humbly remind you and others that I predicted the Candidas would total a pound plus. :laughtwo:

I hope you don't slob on that pillow when you're asleep.

Nice update HH! Thanks for the tips on the quad training - always interested in seeing how people do it. :thanks: That are all looking Kushy green and gorgeous. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Thanks Boo! I try to help out when I can. ;)

Thanks carcass :) those top nodes are so dang fragile sometimes! Plus it helps me be lazy just a little bit longer.
Garden is looking lush, HH! I say go for the 5gal, increase the airflow (supply and exhaust) if humidity becomes a problem for you. Let’s see some indoor trees!!
Thanks DAB! I think I might. The tough part is I will have two tents in the same room and when I kick on the dehumidifier, it gets super hot. I do have a window exhaust piece I can try to use to cool things down too if it gets too crazy.
Beautiful garden HH. Congratulations on your new pillow, but a re-stuffing doesnt look far away :yummy: Very interested in quad lining note pad in hand with a seat up the back. :)
Thank you and welcome to the hideout curiousnoob! :welcome: I love the quad training, I haven’t used it for a little while, so I’m happy to be back at it again. Don’t hesitateto ask if you have any questions, I’ll do my best to help any time.

Lol, thanks GDB. I fully recommend the Double H brand pillow, a better nights sleep than any other pillow on the market, guaranteed. ;)

Hello grow buddies! I’m here to share a fresh harvest update. The Candidas + Afghani grow is finally completed! :slide:

I’m trying something new this time around - low and slow drying. I read parts of DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying: Maximizing Your Harvest
It’s a huge thread, so I didn’t read it all. I mostly ended up following a summary by Mr S
The Sauga Ends Here

Here’s how it started

Poor ugly little dear

Without her fans, she looks a little better.

Some decent colas on her, I give them a thumbs up :thumb:

I filled 5 paper bags (lunch size) with 30g (each) of wet buds and then hung the rest up to dry in the tent.

Nice to meet ya!

So this grow is a wrap! I realized that with about an oz doing the low and slow dry, I won’t have a final weight for a month maybe? But I’ve been interested in low and slow drying for a while now. We finally got a fridge in the garage, so I get the chance to try it!

The bags are open at the top and are laying crisscrossed in the crisper drawer. With these hlgs, I guesstimate each plant to be about 3 oz. I think this one fits that guess, but we’ll have to wait to know for sure.

Well, this marks a bit of an end of an era for me. My last afghani clone, I’ve been growing her for about a year I think; and the end of continuous Candida too. Ch-ch-changes! I’m glad to have those slots opened back up again though. Lots of seeds to grow out.

I hope you’re all doing well and getting prepared for a glorious 4/20 holiday coming up. :Rasta::hookah::smokin::lot-o-toke:

Congrats on the Afghani harvest!
I did the low 'n slow thing with one of my 3 CBD plants awhile back (before my son needed the garage fridge)
That stuff smells and tastes waaay better than the stuff dried and cured the usual way- I'd do it that way all the time if I hadn't lost the fridge (it's allegedly coming back "one of these days")

Congrats on another great looking harvest Hh! The low and slow method for drying looks quite interesting, to bad I don’t have a fridge to spare lol.

Here is to the next run and whatever lovely ladies you choose to fill the space left by the Afghani and the Candida! I know the 420 seed sales are just around the corner, best time of the year to be a grower!

Nice harvest, HH. And she wasn't that ugly!

Make sure you don't let the S&L bags touch the walls of the fridge (just in case you didn't already know). :Rasta:
