Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

:yahoo: on the Afghani chop, and it didn't look anywhere near as bad at harvest as it could have - so take heart!

Without the fans it looks damn fine and that'th thaying thumbthing. :)

:goodluck: with the low and slow!
Thanks Shed, once she’s jarred up, no one will ever know how crispy her leaves were, except you and me... and everyone on here... :laughtwo:
Congrats on the Afghani harvest!
I did the low 'n slow thing with one of my 3 CBD plants awhile back (before my son needed the garage fridge)
That stuff smells and tastes waaay better than the stuff dried and cured the usual way- I'd do it that way all the time if I hadn't lost the fridge (it's allegedly coming back "one of these days")
That’s what I keep hearing, I just had to give it a try myself. Especially now that I’m at the place, stock-wise, that I can wait a month or so for it to be ready. Hopefully you can get a garage fridge again one way or another!
:yahoo:Wooooooowie!
I'm excited about the next chapter in your growing career.
Fun stuff coming up fo sho!:slide:

:laughtwo::love: Thanks bestest bosom buddy!
Congrats. :yahoo: Looking forward to your next grow.
Thanks dano! Im pretty excited for all the kush coming too. Hurry up and wait.
Congrats on another great looking harvest Hh! The low and slow method for drying looks quite interesting, to bad I don’t have a fridge to spare lol.

Here is to the next run and whatever lovely ladies you choose to fill the space left by the Afghani and the Candida! I know the 420 seed sales are just around the corner, best time of the year to be a grower!
Thanks N! I’ve been waiting for this day too. Our fridge broke down and it took 3 weeks to get someone out to look at it. We ended up buying a small sized fridge to tide us over. Silver lining - now we get to try low and slow! It is kinda necessary for us though, it sure does smell when I open that fridge!
Hooray for harvest day!! :yahoo:

Already looking forward to your next drop, maybe some Lemonade!?
Haha, you know it DAB! It’s in the next batch for sure!
Nice harvest, HH. And she wasn't that ugly!

Make sure you don't let the S&L bags touch the walls of the fridge (just in case you didn't already know). :Rasta:
Thanks GDB, Ulgy or no, I’m just glad she made it to the finish line. I’ve got the bags in the crisper drawer, you think that’ll be ok?

Yes!

Hey all! Just a tiny update on the kush partay today.

I’ve got everyone except for mango, moved into 5 gallon pots now. I might end up putting her in a 3 gallon, just because she’s so much younger than the rest and I don’t think she’ll be catching up before flip.

I still need to thin out the blackberry still, but the quads are taking shape. Here are a couple of closer pics of CPK, she’s taking the quad shape the best of them all, I think.

You can see the smaller, inner tops making their way up to the canopy.

They have been getting super droopy every night. I turned down the intensity of the lights a little, but they’re only at 50% power in the first place. We’ll see if that helps, I’m not sure what else it would be from. Each morning they’re happy again, so I dunno!

The low and slow is going good so far. I just tossed the buds around and rotated the bags a bit. It is super smelly, so I’ll be sure to do that at night from now on. Funk-a-dunk! The rest of Afghani is still hanging to dry. Hopefully I can get it right, so I can have good comparison specimens for these drying methods.

That’s all I’ve got today, my friends. I hope you’re all getting ready for 4/20, I know I’ve got something cookin.... ;)

They look great Hh! The quads are shaping up nicely, nice work on the training!

Not sure how much your temp drops at night but I’ve found that keeping your night time temp closer to your day time temp keeps them praying all day and night! I only let my temp drop 5 degrees from day to night with good results.

Edit.. I run 82-84 during the day and 75- 77 at night.

That is a great thought N! I’ve been putting the ac on at night because it’s been warming up around here lately. I’ll cover the grate and see if that helps.

I just checked in on them and sure enough they’re drooping, especially the blackberry that I just transplanted yesterday. Shes drooping hard.

The only other thing I thought of is, I transplanted them into promix bx because it’s the only kind I could source. Maybe that’s got an ingredient contributing?

Anyhow, thanks for the tip and I’ll give that a try. :high-five:

I did quick search and the only difference I can see between Bx and Hp is Hp drains better and Bx holds on to moisture a bit more. Since they were just transplanted they probably just need to get their roots established a bit more to suck up the bit of extra moisture that the Bx is hanging on to.

I think getting those temps bumped up will help them dry out a bit quicker and get those roots using up that water faster and they will be rockin!

Thank you N!!! :thanks: I just put the cover on the vent and maybe I’ll shut that door at night too? Soon there will be another tent operating in there again so that will help raise the temps too. Lol, then I’ll be fighting it being too hot!

Happy 420 Hh!!

Ya close the door and just keep an eye on the temp and humidity, My plants have done well with my temps in the low 80’s and Rh of 60%.

Hi grow buddies! Hope you’re all doing well. I haven’t updated here for a little bit, but really, not a lot has changed.

One thing I did change is bumping up the feed on CPK and OG Kush, they both started showing some hungry symptoms.

It’s been a while since I used a 5 gallon pot and I think I am over watering? It’s taking a long time to drain, so this time I made sure to water closer to the perimeter of the new dirt.

Ugh, not feeling a lot of growing confidence about these girls... they’ve each been struggling ever since I transplanted.

I haven’t been able to water her since I transplanted. Monday I think? Not a lot I can do except wait I suppose. Unless anyone has any other ideas on why she might be drooping like this?

Moving on, a zoom look at the Candida mom

I think it’s time to thin her and her roots down. Super nervous about doing that. I am feeling good that I was able to get a bag of promix hp. I can’t let anything happen to this girl and the troubles we’ve had with the transplant into promix bx and the other girls... I’m just glad to be able to stick with what I know here.

Same is true for the mango kush. Maybe this is her chance to be transplanted and not miss a beat? She can catch up to the struggling girls just in time for me to flip! Haha, a girl can hope. ;)

Anyhow, that’s the state of the garden here at the hideout. I hope all is well with you, that you’re feelin good and stayin safe out there my lovelies!

If you put 1 gallon roots in a 5 gallon pot, there's nothing in 4 gallons of ProMix to drink that water until the roots fill in. So I agree with you on the droop. Watering it like it's a 3 gallon pot in the early days is a good idea.

I have to remind myself every time I transplant that it takes two weeks for my plants to get happy again. You would think by now I'd remember!
Super nervous about doing that.
I know right! Feel free to go a bit less drastic the first time...like just take off the bottom quarter and nothing from the sides. You'll have to do it again sooner, but by then you'll be more confident. And worse case scenario, clone shipping is a thing. :high-five:

Silly, I know, but I hadn’t thought about it that way. With my usual 3 gallon size, it wasn’t such a big difference. They were in 1.5 gallon, but you are right, it is a big difference for the root space.

Two weeks! I better hurry up amd transplant that mango!

Thanks Shed, I will do that. And don’t even jinx me like that! :laughtwo: I need this mama to stay around for a long time.
