HashGirl's First Indoor Grow: Dark Devil Autos In Hempy, 2020

Letting the hempy get dry between feedings helps encourage root growth as they search for the water. ;)

they work in to a dry cycle with growth. from mid veg on the buckets are dry by day 2 in a 2L bucket. before that they really aren't at the res and get even more of a dry cycle.

bigger buckets will take a bit more, but if you up pot sizes then there's no difference.

edit:

should add i find my 5L buckets can go the extra day early. by mid veg on they are pretty much dry by day 2 as well.
i'm pretty much root locked by harvest though. trying a run with smaller plants, wanna see if they still load up the bucket.

Hi bluter. I'm using 5L pots not 2L as stated in my original post. I've asked to have it changed on the original post.

So, should I water every 2 days or every 3 days?

But I think that bud is photoshopped..

I wanna see the whole plant!

Me, I want to see the whole... er... yeah, me, too!

NOT my image, bud, or lovely. I found it via an image search on a web-search engine. The Googlemonster, if I remember correctly. You might use its image locating tool to track down the original, if you are interested. I've seen some pretty large buds ("back in the day," before people realized that something that size wouldn't fit in their bowl), but never anything that appeared to have the density that the one pictured does, nor the bulk over such a (relatively) short length.

fertigate every 3 days for the next 2 weeks, and we’ll go from there - maybe drop to every 2 days.

about right. you won't need any more than 3 days til the roots hit the res.

you can do two if you want. you can't drown hempy or coco style so it won't cause any harm. i feed more often as it pulls oxygen to the roots.

i also do a flood and drain with the hole plugged. i feed til i see the water hit the top of the perlite, then let stand for a few minutes, and literally pull the plug and let drain.

insanely easy approach.

don't worry, grow hempy ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning, Felipe and everyone else. Although, it might be better to say good evening now since it's 6 p.m. here. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I fertigated my DDAs this morning but they didn't look great beforehand and now, I'm wondering if I should water every 2 days instead of every 3 days? They're looking a little perkier tonight and I've included some photos of them in the tent with the lights on.

Without further ado, here are the pics:

I have a question about nutes. The Flora Series Drain to Waste chart says that the amounts increase when the plants are in the Early Growth stage, which is the stage after seedling. How do I know when the second stage starts?

I start veg when I see the second true set of leaves. It’s personal choice though.
do you consider the first 'true leaves' to be the single leaves (after the round seed ones), or the first leaf with 5 parts? sorry im not using the scientific terms here

???

The temperature in the tent is currently 74 with 43% humidity.
i like to keep the remote 'outside' antenna part of my thermo level with the tops of my plants, so i can read the temp at canopy as well as overall temp. its usually a few degrees warmer up there.

we started our autos almost at the same time, and im also doing hempy. will spark a bowl and come along for this ride

Sometimes my leaves will curl under if they’re not happy with the temperature being too warm.
