HashGirl's First Indoor Grow: Dark Devil Autos In Hempy, 2020

I'm thinking that I read a comment by Rifleman about seeing nitrogen issues even when he went real weak on the feed. I'm not positive, though.

I’d be interested in reading about that if you can find it.

I don't know if I will post photos every time I fertigate but for now, I will. Here are today's photos. Definitely lots of droopiness going on. I haven't checked on them tonight (I watered them this morning) because Felonious has a lot of his grow supplies in front of my tent currently and I don't feel like moving them. He knows I'll need to get into the tent tomorrow morning for another round of fertigation so I'll have to be patient until then.

We also moved the light down closer to the plants but not too close. They were at 37" (?) and now they're at 21". I'll keep an eye on them though and adjust if necessary.

Okay. Thanks, Felipe. Again. :adore:

I'll adjust in the morning. I'm heading off to bed shortly and am too tired to do it now.

So, I've fertigated every day since Saturday and as far as I can tell, there hasn't been much change in the droopiness of the leaves. Here are the photos from yesterday and today:

Other than the droopiness, I think the leaves look good, right?

She is showing a little leaf lift between the two pics.
I do have a few questions just to rule them out.
Have you calibrated your pH pen recently?
What is your water source?
Are you using RO?

Hi VG.

The pH pen is calibrated weekly. It's due to be calibrated again tomorrow.

I'm using well water that has a normal pH of 6.8/6.9.

No, I'm not using RO.

Ok. Do you let your water sit out 24 hours prior?

My water is tap and it will drop from 8.2 to 7.5 in a 24 HR period.
Well water can climb due to excess carbonic acid. As it comes to temp the gasses are released as cold water can hold onto gasses better than room temp water.
Well water can also contain excess sulfur.
I'm curious to see what her water does when she lets it sit out.
There is a possibility it is climbing and throwing her pH off.
It's a simple test to remove doubt.

The well water can also have calcium, lime and other stuff. Have you checked PPM's?

That being said, I've been keeping quiet and watching silently but, for a plant that young, I'd really be letting the hempy dry out in between feedings until the plant develops some good roots. The tips you've been getting on fertilizing every day, plugging the drain hole, etc. would be much better if the plant had a good root system and, IMHO, the plant has been showing signs of over-watering. Yes, I know you "can't" over water a hempy, but the daily watering is keeping that small root zone constantly saturated. If you let those young plants experience dry cycles between feedings, they'll develop roots much quicker. :Namaste:

So, are you saying I should leave it out or I shouldn't?

I was wondering if you can test your water pH 24-48 hours after it has been allowed to sit ( with no cover) and off-gas?
Want to see what happens to your pH.
