Last one, thank god. :phew:

Zoe - Day 58F:

And, that's everything. Sorry, it's been so long since I've updated these ones. Life has been very busy of late. I can't guarantee my updates will be more regular but I will do my best.

Regarding the PM, I'm still spraying because when I touch it to see if it's dry and not removable, it's definitely dry but it does come off on my finger. If someone could let me know if the PM is alive or dead based on my experience?

Additionally, I'm planning on harvesting all of the flowering plants between now and the end of June. All of the flowering plants have had PM so I'm not going to move Mala, Cassie and Dumi from the veg tent until they're all done as I'm planning on cleaning both out once more. This time, I'm going to try hydrogen peroxide and see if that works. Of course, maybe the PM is dead and I'm just spraying out of lack of knowledge so all the above may be unnecessary but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Last year, I had bugs and this year is PM. It's so weird. I didn't have any of these problems inside in 2020, 2021 or 2022.

And, finally, you may have noticed that Babs, Candy, Roxy and Suzy aren't listed above. They were all harvested in May and I will post an update on them later this week if I have time.

Anyhow, thanks for following along. Let me know if you have any other comments, suggestions or questions.

The way I gauge if PM is dead is if it comes off when I drag my finger over it. If it's gone then it's live, if it stays white it's dead. But that part of the leaf will never change back to green.

It doesn't come off entirely; only the surface part does, i.e. it smudges.

And, I became interested in this last strain when @Carcass grew a beautiful one:

SUPER SILVER HAZE (1 seed)

Primary Terpenes:Terpinolene, Myrcene, Caryophyllene
Genotype:Photoperiod
Phenotype:Hybrid (Sativa-Dominant)
Breeder:Crop King
Genetics:Skunk x Northern Lights x Haze
Projected Flowering Time:56 to 63 days
Projected Yield:450 - 500 g/m² indoors
THC %:19
CBD %:<1

Sativa Classics
Super Silver Haze fem marijuana strain takes a special place among the cannabis plants. It combines a strong psychotropic Sativa buzz and smoothly developing sedative Indica effect. This lady is a real legend and was awarded the first prize at HTCC three times in a row - in 1997, 1998 and 1999.

How to Grow a Champion?
This bud shows the best results when grown outdoors in good soil and sunny summer. Its height can reach 3 meters. Such a big bush can bring up to 1.5 kg of abundant buds. It grows without problems indoors, bringing a slightly less yield than outdoors. Green House Seeds recommends the following conditions for indoor cultivation:
  • 27 C – day temperature, 20 C – night temperature;
  • pH - 5.5, EC - 1.5 - 1.8;
  • Humidity - up to 70% in the vegetative period; 50-60% during the flowering period;
  • It is recommended to use SCroG or LST.
Super Silver Haze – Potent Effect and Deep Relaxation
The cannabinoids of this strain (14.70% THC, 0.1% CBD, and 1.4% CBN) produces a unique set of effects. It clears your mind and lets you enjoy a good body buzz mixed with a lot of mental stimulation. Your creativity and intellect will get a big boost and is great for deep discussions. For these reasons this strain is highly recommended for people who work in creative fields, such as artists, musicians, and writers, or those who move in creative circles.

Regardless if you are working on a major project, discussing international immigration policies with friends, or just looking for some creative stimulation, Super Silver Haze will serve you well.

Here is how Carcass's looked in flower:

And, here is what the seed seller shows as what the flowers should look like:

I think Carcass' is prettier. What do you think?
Will Super Silver Haze, using DWC with top-feed, outgrow a 7' tent?

I presume you grew your outdoors since you mentioned it could get to 3 metres. I've never tried LST. Perhaps I should learn it.

:welcome: to my journal, FFT!

I've never used DWC so I have no idea. Mine was grown inside in a 5x5 tent with 3 other plants. The biggest she got was 18" tall x 19" wide. And, @Carcass grew his in a box.

Edited to add: I just noticed they were blurry but I'm already an hour late for dinner so I gotta go so sorry about that.

Hello peeps. This isn't really an update even though I know I'm far behind. My social schedule has picked up a lot, partly because we're finally getting some decent weather. The past few weeks have been chilly for us this time of year. It's also been grey and rainy so you'd think I'd have lots of time to get caught up here but I also bought a new laptop and I've been trying for the past 2 weeks to transfer all of my files from my Mac via OneDrive to my hard drive on my new PC. I've got a lot of it but the Grow Journals are proving to be an issue since they all total around 7 GB.

I've tried copying all at once the first time and was pretty stupid since there are more than 12,000 files in those 7GB, mostly photos. I let my computers work for 3 days without turning them off only to finally decide to abort it and try something else. Next, I tried doing one folder at a time and got the smaller folders when I wasn't growing but Felonious was but this year's stubbornly refuses to be moved. Next I tried making .zip folders and that worked for 2020 and 2021 but not 2022 or this year.

Anyhow, I digress and I'm high. :cheesygrinsmiley: I want you guys to weigh on this little lady, who hasn't been introduced to you yet.

Meet Cher, born on May 23:

CHER - CANNALOPE HAZE (1 seed)

Primary Terpenes:Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Humulene
Genotype:Photoperiod
Phenotype:Sativa-Dominant (95/5)
Breeder:DNA Genetics
Genetics:Haze Brothers x Mexican Sativa (Michoacán)
Projected Flowering Time:56 to 63 days
Projected Yield:500 to 600g/m2
THC %:19
CBD %:1.1

Cannalope Haze cannabis strain by DNA Genetics is almost a pure Sativa, a cross between the legendary Haze Brothers and the Mexican landrace Michoacán. Its fruity flavors and aromas, high potency, and low maintenance all make Cannalope Haze cannabis seeds a good choice for beginner and inexperienced growers.

A Mix of Body and Mind High
The effects of Cannalope Haze start as uplifting, energetic, and cerebral. Later, they transition into a relaxing and slightly sleepy high without leading to couchlock. Cannalope Haze seeds are perfect for those looking to grow a remedy for fatigue, stress, and anxiety.

Cannalope Haze: An Extremely Fruity-Tasting Sativa
The aromas of Cannalope Haze are fresh and flowery, with hints of melon and citrus, while its flavors are sweet and tropical with melon and fruity undertones. Such a flavor palette makes Cannalope one of the few cannabis strains with a distinctive feel of a sweet, ripe melon.

Bushy And Branchy Grow
Cannalope Haze cannabis seeds grow vigorous and strong, finishing in 8 to 9 weeks. Buds tend to be light green in color with numerous bright orange and red hairs, smelly, and coated with resinous trichomes, which accounts for the high THC levels that often get as high as 28%.

This weed strain reacts well to all types of training in order to maximize the yield and quality and keep her manageable height.

The plant finishes flowering in 8-9 weeks, or by mid to late October outdoors.

Its height is 100-140cm (3’3”-4’7”) indoors, and up to 170cm (5’6”) outdoors.

Growers will see best results using SOG with 16 plants per square meter.

As it becomes extremely bushy with numerous side branches, this marijuana strain is a great choice for a SCROG setup.

The photo is from @Herbies Seeds'. Unfortunately, the seeds aren't. They were bought at the same time as the Pineapple Express and Clementines, which all turned out to be autos when I had wanted photos so my perpetual is not going very well because now, I think Cher is starting to flower, too at 27 days of veg:

My question is should I drop the rest of the Cannalope Haze seeds in water? The vendor, The Seed Pharm, who is listed as a sponsor here, but don't appear to have a tag, told me I could have 6 months after date of purchase for a one-time replacement of any seeds that turn out to be autos. Date of purchase was January 23 so that means if I want to be reimbursed for them, I need to let them know before July 23. So, my dilemma is that I've already been overwhelmed with far too many plants in flower at one time and the plants have suffered for it.

So, seriously, should I throw the 4 seeds in water, which I'm sure will also turn out to be autos or should I just cut my costs now?

TIA

That does look like it's starting to flower.
How many plants in flower would you have a month from now if you popped the seeds?

She does appear to be starting to flower...
should I just cut my costs now?

How much $ are we talking about?
And how much is your time worth?
If it's under $50 I'd be inclined to let it go- sure, you'll get some seeds replaced, but while you're growing them to prove they're autos, the others may suffer, and you'll lose weed in the end..

I myself would be tempted to send them back to the seed pharm, and invite them to stick 'em up their collective asses...but that's just me...;)

Nice sounding strain the Canelope Haze. I think the supplier is making a mistake. I wouldn't use them again. I'd probably cut my losses at this point and grow the seeds out as autos as and when.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts. Sorry for the delay in getting back here. I've been out every single day since then and this is the first opportunity I have to reply.

13, at least 5 more than I like.

I agree with both of you. I ordered 5 seeds of each strain (Pineapple Express, Clementine and Cannalope Haze) and to date, 11 of the 15 are autos. I definitely don't trust the vendor now and fully intend on telling him that. If he refuses to reimburse me with cash, I don't know what I'm going to do as I don't want to take the chance that they're all autos again.

I was thinking about ccing Rob as The Seed Pharm is a sponsor. @Doctor Trevor had the same issue from them with his CB Dutch Treat seeds. Poor quality control in my opinion.

I'd do what make you comfortable today. Just don't get to busy growing if you're not up for it. Or get em all in and go to town!

I've made the decision to not grow them because I just want all the autos to be done so that I can get back on track with my perpetual grow. Adding 4 more autos to the mix definitely wouldn't help.

On the plus side, I spent a small fortune on seeds from @CannaPot just now. I only ordered sativa strains. The list includes 5 Pineapple Express photoperiod seeds along with Golden Tiger, Tikal, Moby Dick, Blue Dream, Zombie Death Fuck and Y Griega.

The friend I had that liked the indicas I grew gave up cannabis this winter because she felt it wasn't helping her bipolar so now I have a lot of indica that I doubt I'll ever use as I've pretty much decided to stop growing indicas unless I know they work for me, i.e. Blueberry and Hash Plant.

It's supposed to rain for the next 2 days so I hope to catch everyone up on my garden this week.

*** HARVEST UPDATE ***

Good afternoon.

Today, I will be updating you on the 4 plants I harvested in May, i.e. Babs, Candy, Roxy and Suzy.

As you know, I've been battling PM this year so the plants aren't looking their best. However, I'm 100% sure that it's totally my fault, they got so ugly looking since I was using tap water instead of distilled water. I honestly never thought about the minerals in our water affecting the leaves when spraying.

Additionally, I was using way more citric acid than @InTheShed recommended. I can't remember exactly but I think I was adding a quarter cup of it to the water. Hence, ugly plants.

Now that I'm using distilled water and only 2.5g of citric acid, I haven't had any leaf problem.
