HashGirl Implements A Perpetual Grow

The Jack Herer is listed at 17-22%, so close to double where yours tested. The breeder number is always a best-case scenario: perfect plants under ideal conditions. I'll be curious to see what the BB and CR test at if you have the cash!

My plan is to test every strain I grow eventually.

VEG1 UPDATE
*** May 2 to 22, 2023 ***

Good afternoon.

May has been very busy and it's all I can do just to post my updates. If I follow your journal, I apologize for not reading it lately.

They've all had big growth spurts and they were also all sprayed for PM. Now, I have it everywhere and I don't know how to get rid of it. I've been spraying the plants as needed plus all tents and the Baker's Rack were all washed with bleach. Extra fans were added to the flower tents and there's a humidifier between the vents of both tents.

All of them except Lily were topped this week.

Anyhow, here are the Veg1 pics:

Your new plants look the picture of health. Sorry about the pm! Is that in a different tent because I don't see signs of pm on your babies? Are you using the 0.5 % or the 0.25 % citric acid spray by the way?

The PPM is everywhere. I didn't do any closeups of the leaves. I'm using the .25% spray now but it's still not distilled water like @InTheShed said to do. I'd be interested to know if anyone uses tap water like me. I know our water is high in sulfur and the average pH is 7.8.

Everyone's tap water will be different. Distilled water is exactly the same so it leaves you with a known quantity. Is it not available in Canada or expensive? It's really cheap here.
You can get it at pretty much any supermarket up here. I don't remember how much it costs though.

I'm planning on picking up a couple of litres when I'm out later to see if using distilled water makes any difference on the PM recurring.

VEG2 UPDATE
*** May 5 to 26, 2023 ***
Good afternoon.

Today's update is on the Veg2 girls. Two of the three are ready to flip to flower but since I still have 13 plants currently in flower, I'm waiting until the girls in the second flower tent (Chrissy, Mel, Petra and Zoe) are done. I've harvested 3 of the 4 plants in the first flower tent and plan to do the 4th tomorrow. So, I moved some of the Clementines and Pineapple Expresses to the almost empty tent as I really needed to uppot Cassie and Mala to 5-gallon pots as they were getting unmanageable in the 1-gallon pots. They were both so tall I couldn't use @Carcass 's carsticks on them!

They've all have spread out a lot during this period. The 3 Veg1 ladies were all sprayed for PM on May 24. And, Cassie and Mala were both uppotted to 5-gallon pots today. I'll be uppotting Dumi tomorrow.

Without further ado, here are this week's pics:

FLOW1 UPDATE
*** May 8 to 29, 2023 ***

Good afternoon.

This update, I'll be reporting on 5 ladies: Cathy, Chloe, Claire, Patsy and Polly. During this time period, Cathy grew a whopping 17.5 inches. I accidentally broke a branch off her so she looks like she wasn't topped but she was.

They were all uppotted to 3-gallon pots and treated for PM once during this time period. Without further ado, here are the pics:

FLOW2 UPDATE
*** May 10 to June 5, 2023 ***

Good afternoon.

I'm really looking forward to all of these flowering plants being done. The main purpose for implementing a perpetual grow was to minimize the amount of work/plants in flower at one time. Currently, I have 13 plants in flower, which is 5 more than the plan.

The main news for all of them is that, they were all sprayed for PM twice during this time period. Three of the 4 photoperiod flowering plants (Chrissy, Petra and Zoe) are looking very brown and dry. I was planning on checking trichomes today but since I was away on the weekend, feeding them was more important.

Anyhow, I have a lot of photos so I'm going to start a new post for each of the 8 FLOW2 ladies.

I think Mel is the nicest looking of the photo plants. She's the greenest of the bunch anyways. I wonder if the strain has mould-resistance. I'll have to look it up when I'm not high. :cheesygrinsmiley:
