Haight Solid State vs. H.G.LED

Re: 420 Consumer Reports Competition - Haight Solid State vs. Hydro Grow LED

It might be me but although the plants EXTREMELY healthy, I would think they would be further along in their cycle for bloom

I don't have nearly enough experience to judge progress but I can imagine they're looking a bit behind where they'd be with a 400 or 600 watt HID light.

I can say, however, that they're looking farther along than my plants were at 3 weeks flower under a 250W HPS (I'm growing an indica strain and using the same nutes as SS).

The plants look great SS, to me I think the HSS is a little bit *a head*

They look healthy.
Guess we'll know in a few more weeks if they fill in.
Keep up the good work.

I agree with you, the HSS plants seem taller, and wider - larger overall. Yes, the bushiness of the HGL plants does have a certain visual appeal but the lower half of the plants seem almost like they are choking on all of that, because very little light can get down there. Never know how it might play out, SS is right to let the plants do all the talking for now.

Re: 420 Consumer Reports Competition - Haight Solid State vs. Hydro Grow LED

To me, they look real close to what I'm used to seeing at 3 weeks with 250 HPS.

People used to growing with big HID watts would probably see them as lagging.

I won't address each post individually, but I want to thank everyone for their comments and support ;).

The next couple of weeks should give us a better idea of where things are headed.

Re: 420 Consumer Reports Competition - Haight Solid State vs. Hydro Grow LED

SS, you've got them looking awfully nice. I love those big bushy plants, but think I agree with sfhaze. I think those HSS may end up budding a little better just because of the additional penetration allowed by the leggy structure. It should be quite interesting to watch the show from here on.

Keep up the awsome work, Brother.

"Yes we cannabis pizza". Give two slices to my mother in-law as a reward for stretching the tent for you SS. And don't worry if she doesn't wake up, just call me and I'll take care of the rest.
