Clone update!

First...thanks again for jumping in last night and hearing my sense of urgency. This place is great and it's because of y'all.

I was thinking about what 420d said regarding keeping them in 24/0 to get them to reveg. Since my shed lights were set to go off at 5am, I figured I would take the clones and put them under the desk lamp all night where I do my sprouting:

And when I woke up this morning, I realized that my neighbor had borrowed a plastic tub that my daughter didn't need in her dorm, so I wrangled it back. I replaced the bulb in the desk lamp with a 23 watt (100 watt equivalent) 6500K and moved it "a smidge closer" and hope that it's enough light to satisfy both the "don't let them do photosynthesis" camp and the "they need light to reveg" camp.

I sprayed them down with the cal/mag water and this is where they will be spending the day:

How wet should the soil be? "Not too wet so the stem rots but wet enough to get the roots growing." How wet is that?

Happy Wednesday all! Here's the update.

Blue 4 (day 19) seems to have decided to be a plant after all, though that stem is looking pretty spindly considering I'll be bending it over soon. No, I still can't get a quarter to rest on top...it tipped right off!

AK 7 on day 17 is making up its mind still:

It's a very nice cola for a plant that's really only 6" high. Unfortunately it's only 6" high!

Ak definitely looks more stout! She'll take off in the next couple days.
Maybe toss dirt up to Blues cotyledons? Stalk from there up looks good and healthy.

Good idea. I was waiting until it was tall enough and I guess it is! Straight soil this time as perlite likes to rise to the surface anyway.

Glad you think AK 7 still has some life in it!

Clones look great. I need to do that with my DH, however I need to break down my tent after this grow so my AC guy can get up in the crawlspace (where my tent exhausts through), so I figured I would not clone this go around.

You might want to take a short one off the lower DH and veg small until the AC is done. The guy I got my clones from has a tiny cabinet in his garage with a 3' low watt T5 bulb and he vegged nine clones in there. Closet with a CFL should keep this strain alive until you can get the tent back up.

Thursday and I need to go to bed earlier tonight! We had my daughter on FaceTime for over almost two hours last night and college kids like to stay up late, so there went my beauty rest

I added soil this morning to both Blue 4 and AK 7, right up to the cotyledons. Then I blended in more diatomaceous earth (DE) and put a layer on top. Had to rinse it off the AK leaves so if they look wet, that's why! I did't wear the dust mask this time bc I was running late but I did have my sweatshirt pulled up over my nose...hope my lungs are okay :-0

My son is leaving home/town/ state in a week so I can relate to this I'm certain I will give up rest to chat with him

The mixed feelings are crazy!! It's pretty exciting to listen to him talk about his new life but it's a jungle out there! He's well prepared and super smart but that doesn't stop the worrying. On the plus side, I'll be able to get the tent moved out of my bedroom and into the soon to be spare room.

It's Friday Friday!

It was watering day for the little ones, and this happened. I mixed up the nutes, adding some extra Big Bloom per BWaff. I checked the PPM and I'm up at 980! What? So I dump that in the flowers and start again. First I check the water in the bucket. 180 PPM which is 80 parts higher than usual. Ok, but that doesn't get me over 900.

So I decided to check each step and see where it gets out of line:
Water = 180
Add GrowBig, 1½ tsp/gal and it goes to 614
Add Cal/mag, 3ml/gal and it goes to 742
Add Big Bloom, 3 tbs/gal (up from 2 last time) and it goes to 976!!

I'm hoping that since Big Bloom is not really a nutrient I don't need to count it in the PPM mix, because that's like flowering numbers if I do. I can live with the 742 PPM minus the 180 water and get 562 PPM nutes. But 976?

BWaff chime in here from Chi-town since Big Bloom is your main ingredient!

Anyway, that's what I used to water, and they each got 32 ounces.
