Group Grow - Autos Only - Seeds Must Be In Soil By The 25/07/2017 Latest

Here are my lil critical babies which live alongside my other 2 autos (tangerine + mamba) .. They are exactly a week apart :) but the criticals finish 10days earlier so should be harvesting more a less around the same time !

Smoking on some nice exodus cheese x kush .. Will be doing a spring clean today as I have no idea how these aphids got in my box. Could have something to do with the fertiliser they have put on the grass outside sigh.. Iv killed off more than 70% of them since last night so I'm sure once iv done the spring clean and go through the cleaning procedure another couple of times everything should be smooth sailing ..

Have a Irie daY all ! Looking forward to seeing all the updates.. If your seed hasn't cracked yet, don't stress just send us the pic of the seed in water as validation and let's get the show on the road !!

They say a single aphid can produce up to 80 more in a week. I've never tried it, but I've read that a person can spray their entire plant (soaking both sides of every leaf, et cetera) and then using a plant duster to blow diatomaceaus earth all over the plant, getting a fine layer everywhere while the plant is still wet enough for it to stick... can leave a surface that'll kill the little SOBs from moving across it. But you'd then have to hose off your plants a week or so afterward, waiting long enough for eggs to hatch and those to get dead, too. Might be a little extreme, but DE isn't toxic to man or beast (or plant). I wouldn't use it on plants in flower, of course.

Lol, okay. I'll take one later, sanitize it, and post it. Right now I'm about five minutes from crashing for a few hours. No work for today so I ended up staying up all night reading various threads and trying to knock down the list of subscribed threads with new posts listed in my User CP. There were 52 showing last evening. Now there are... 52 showing :rolleyes3 . <SIGH> It's hard to get caught up - and then blink and you're no longer caught up. But that's good, I suppose.

I was "a bit late" at dropping my seed into water to soak. Kept telling myself I needed to get to it - after reading one more thread :icon_roll . So I got it into the cup... 15 minutes ago. It may or may not open before the 25th (today) is over. Is that in California time, lol? That'll give me a little extra time, I suppose.

If it opens before the deadline, it's going into 75% Happy Frog / 25% perlite. Either an 18-ounce Solo cup or its final pot, I'm not sure yet. Looks like the clay pot won't be used for this one. I have one five-gallon bucket, but I'd like to save it for a different use. I have a couple of houseplant pots, but they're fairly small. I also have a two-gallon bucket.

If I knew I'd be growing under 18/6 or 20/4 the entire time, I'd go ahead and use the five-gallon bucket (although I'd have to go with about 37.5% Happy Frog / 37.5% Ocean Forrest / 25% Perlite - which I could do regardless if it's a better mix for this strain? IDK). But I'm almost positive I'll be going with 12/12, maybe as early as the 1st of August. My plan is to take cuttings tomorrow and when I'm sure that at least most have them have rooted, either immediately switch to 12/12 or within a week. These clones will be in SMALL containers and I probably should try to keep any vegetative growth to a minimum; the flowering stretch will be bad enough.

So probably a two-gallon bucket. I'll take a closer look at my largest flowerpot and if it looks like it might be larger than two gallons, I might try to determine its actual volume - and, if it is near three gallons in volume, I'll use that. So my final container will be at least two gallons and possibly up to three gallons in size.

Limited container size, reduced light schedule, guessing at pH by looking at the plant ( :irolleyes3 )... I don't even know what kind of harvest to expect from this Sweet Seeds Cream Caramel Auto. It looks like 62-65 days is a popular harvest window for the strain, with some going 10 or 11 weeks. And there appear to be two phenotypes, one described as "single cola," and the other shorter and a little bushier ("branchier?").

To top or not? I've generally been against topping my plants. To encourage branching - and to discourage a center cola that stands "head and shoulders" above the rest of the plant, I tend to tie the very top down as low as I can (within reason, but below as many nodes as I can get it without fear of breakage). This forces the plant to redistribute certain auxins that ordinarily accumulate in the top to the lower branches, and causes them to assume behavior of that top (IOW, to grow). But that's with phototropic plants. Topping appears to be popular with auto-flowers, yes? Can someone give their thoughts on the matter, please?

That's it for now. I really hope this bean opens TODAY. Err... Failing that, I hope it opens, lol. But I want to be part of this group auto-flower grow. It's giving me the motivation to chop up my big overgrown plants for clones and dispose of the mothers. If they were indicas or even merely indica-dominant, and if I had decent-sized containers, I'd extend the vegetative light schedule in order to see what I could yield from the Cream Caramel Auto. But I'm already worried that I'll see the clones stretch to five feet (approximate height of a pretty intense LED, so that would be... bad). The Jack Herer is supposed to be 60% sativa and the Kali Mist is supposed to be 90%. Not sure about the Huckleberry I've seen it listed as 50%/50% and "mostly indica" - and I guess there is a Huckleberry from Elemental Seeds and an Oregon Huckleberry. No idea which I have. Not as concerned about it, either; if they become too tall, I'd be annoyed, even upset - but I wouldn't go into mourning.

Everybody wish me - and my Cream Caramel Auto seed - good luck and quick germination. Send positive vibes through the æther and all that, if you would. It's probably around 82°F in the room, but will be likely to go up some when the sun is beating down.

Go, seed, go!
Good luck with the grow. I just had it out with the heat in my grow room (barn). Stunted my plants bad... It could jump over 100° at the blink of an eye. I just got a new A/C and insulated my room before starting this grow.
I'm interested in seeing how much faster these THC Bomb autos will grow with ideal conditions. The group I stunted were Early Miss autos. I vividly remember getting pissed every time I looked at them. Healthiest looking herb plants that just never grew. Shit, one of them grew only about 4" and still put off a 1g bud. LoL
Anyhow, disaster grow is over. This community auto grow is really gonna be fun. Nothing like sharing a passion for growing with peers.

Thought I'd give you guys a look at what I'm doing to take care of these aphid buggers..
I start off by cleaning the inside of grow box with dish liquid and warm water , then I give the pots a good wipe down and clean with the soapy mix.. I mixed up a garlic cinnamon and water solution to feed the soil to kill and scare away any other pests. Seems to be working great , persistence is key with aphids so I will be doing this twice a day until they are all gone ! I caught it very early aswell as the aphids are all babies. Anyways less talking more showing haha.

Garlic and cinnamon + water mix

Diluted the mix into a 2l + the soapy mix

Clean outside and as much as I can on the inside of pot then dry it all off and feed each plant with 500ml of the Garlic and cinnamon mix.

I'll keep you updated on the progress..

Fed the mature autos their first feeding of flowering cycle with some blue planet nutrients yesterday, i spaced out taking photos. I used full strength on 4 autos downstairs, they loved it. Im using their Blue Max 2 part, along with vitablue, liquid seaweed, early bloomer and the liquid blue additives. I didnt use my gold silica as the branches were already nice and stalky. The ph is at 6.2 after mixing so i didnt need to mess with adjusting the Ph levels. Start of week 2 of flowering today for them. Another few weeks to go i suppose. Could be longer.

Here is the main auto im using for this group. We're on day 12 today, not much progress as i think shes focusing on her roots right now. But, im using this pot so i can bend her over and tie down branches to the sides of the pots when she gets older. Shooting for a mainline, i didnt and am not going to top her so i think thats still considered mainlining, correct me if im wrong. This pot is an 8"x24"x6" windowsill pot. 2.5gallon pot. Im not going to expect much from her cause shes in a small pot. But experimenting what i can get off with this lady. Im using just plain water until she reaches the 5th node then ill introduce a quarter strength of feeding.

I'm planted in soil yesterday. I hope she is still alive. When I got home from work I went to go and grab her out the paper towel and it was bone dry .. It had its little tail, I quickly moistened her back up and let her sit for 10 minutes and dropped it in the soil.

Its happened to me before but the seed wasnt cracked yet .. so not to sure what will happen , but my plant grew perfectly fine :) if that makes you feel any better !!

Im really happy with the turn out guys , think its going to be loads of fun and a huge learning experience for us all :thumb:
I'd just like to thank each and every1 of you for joining the journal and being apart of this journey with me .. without you guys it simply would not have been possible :thanks:

Definitely looking forward to this session. I did see some hope for my .. We will see...worst case scenario, I'll drop another.

Nothing here yet. I'll go back in about an hour and take a picture. Probably still be just an unopened seed in a cup. Temperature in room estimated to be high 70s. Getting stoked, hoping the seed will do the same, lol.

Since I listed my current seed inventory... I forgot about a six-year old Nirvana Royal Flush feminized. It hasn't been in the attic :rolleyes3 , and has been in the refrigerator for the past two or three year (I'd forgotten about it when I got paranoid and stopped growing/discussing/etc. some years back, and found it again a few years ago). I hope it's still viable (was decent for the "economy-class" pricing). And I think I've got one (possibly two) Kali Mist feminized and a couple of the real Jack Herer somewhere.

I forgot to mention that I found a 2.5"x2.5" ziplock stuffed full of random cannabis seeds. I didn't collect them, and at this point I haven't the foggiest who gave them to me or when. Was in a tiny brown paper sack in the back of my kitchen junk drawer - I discovered it when I was looking for a flashlight to go hunt in the attic. Can't decide whether to throw them away or to scuff/sand/score them next Spring and sling them into a random patch of woods, then leave them to their fate.

Damn I can't wait to get the green light think I'm going to drop 8 autos three early miss three candy cane autos and one la diva by delicious seeds and another same breeder. Northern lights blue auto . Two might go indoors Once I get new tent but def the early miss and candy cane outdoor pro mix hp or coco blocks not bag. With organic feeding .. let you guys know waiting for 5 gallon pots to arrive

Let me know how the Early Miss turns out. I'm finishing a grow of EM auto right now that was a disaster. I'd love to see how they are supposed to turn out.
hahaha I know that feeling.. Iv got both my boxes full yet I still find myself ordering seeds etc. Even though I cant use them at the moment sigh.. haha!
My 2 critical autos popped thru the soil :) whoop whoop :thumb::bravo:
Will post pics when they have spread their leaves

Dont toss them seeds in the bag. Theyre still good. Youd be surprised as to how long seeds can last. Id save them and pop a few next grow. Or pm me and ill grow a few, who knows they can be old school strains that arent around anymore..my 2cents anyways.

I'd have written something on the bag if I'd thought anything of them. I'm guessing someone who smoked a lot of crappy cannabis saved them up for a while, then thought better of it and offered to me (and I would have been trying to be polite by not refusing :icon_roll ) . I've noted that a set of seeds came from commerical MexiBrick before, so...

My auto-flowering... seed:
CCA_Water.jpg

It's not looking very promising. It just sank within an hour or so of when I grabbed the picture. I rolled it around a little and it doesn't look to have split yet. Then I poured most of the water into another cup from a height, poured it back into this cup, and repeated several times in hopes of aerating the water somewhat. Using the other cup for a cover on this one.

If this doesn't show signs of life for a while, I might try to pull it open a bit and plant it. I have had poor success by doing that, though. If it doesn't grow, if I don't manage to be in this grow... I'll try a different auto-flower seed anyway. Going to grow one. Still hoping it's this one. Might add a cap full of regular consumer-strength H₂O₂ tomorrow.

Here are a couple from my EM group.... Just had crazy heat for about 2-3 weeks and stopped growing. Stayed alive & green with healthy leaves, but just stopped growing

Here is my set-up for this THC bomb grow. Disappointed because I totally made a bad-was video of my grow set-up but was not able to post it in this thread.
Finally got temp issues under control; I can now keep my babies between 77°~82°. Totally capable of dropping it to low 70's if I needed to. Heat down here has been nuts, coming from the outside into this grow room feels like walking into a refrigerator. I literally do a double-check on temp every time because the temp change is so drastic between outdoors/indoors.
Although a bit ghetto in appearance, this little barn is pretty damn effective for what I need. Hope y'all find it as cool as I do... LoL, I'm a bit partial.
