Auto Chemdog - Soil - LED

Auto Chemdog Day 49

Under 2 feet including the pot, 15" from the soil line. Only trimmed 2 leaves. A very care free plant. Very similar growth pattern, smell, and bud development to OG Kush / Burmese Kush.

She was moved to a little different area of the tent, but there is so much light in there, I think she will be fine.

I would love to grow a tent with 9 different autos! That would be fun! The wouldn't need trimming, just water!

Auto Chemdog Day 51

Here I am, trying to give some guidance to another grower, when I look down and see I have some more yellowing leaves myself...

She's looking good, though!

More nutes? Less nutes? Higher PH? Lower PH? More light? Less light? More drainage? Less drainage?

Who knows :)

She only has 5 more weeks to go, and that is with 10 days added on to the breeders suggested time frame.

That means this is her key time to bulk up is the next 3 weeks, followed by a 2 week flush / cool down.

Guess I'll hit her hard with some bloom nutes tomorrow when she is bone dry!

Auto Chemdog Day 52

Bone dry and Lovin' it!

Will water now with lots of nutes. I know I was planning on 90 days, but she is getting cooked fast.

This may be her last full feeding.

Wait a second... I just went on the Auto seeds website to double check... 60 - 65 days...

When did I get so confused? That means 2 weeks from today for 65 days....

All right, watering with full strength organic nutes only. This will be the last feeding.

I have never tried Cal Mag, but I will give it a try.

Maybe not with this plant, though. She is already at the end of her road.

I see people who get their leaves yellow by harvest, no green at all.

I know that is strain specific. I just want as many chemicals out as possible.

I still say under an ounce, like 22 - 25 grams. Yes, she did end up producing.

Possibly the 5 days in the dark messed her up, and she would have produced substantially more.

We'll see. Thanks for stopping by!

The only things I am seeing online about yellowing leaves and autos is that autos always yellow in the last 2 weeks of harvest.

That was the only comment I could find, and sets me on the correct path.

If there is one thing I have learned for sure, soil grows will never be ready for harvest before the breeders minimum time frame.

Maybe all the reds in the LED lights cause hairs to turn faster, but that doesn't means the buds are ready.

Still hoping she will pack on a little more weight... I only fed with organics yesterday.

Does anyone know about tea? The guy at the hydro shop said I need to bubble water for 24 hours to ensure all chlorine is out. I think an hour or 2 should get rid of the minimal chlorine. Water left out without a bubbler will lose all its chlorine in 24 hours....

I make tea all the time as a regular part of my outdoor routine I use a 20 gallon Rubbermaid container 4 air stones and a 4 port air pump like for fish tanks i use rain water but yes tap water 24 hrs at least just water to clear it out then add compost worm casting molasses etc and cover let it "cook" for 24-48 hrs then use it to feed

Auto Chemdog Day 55

Well Beast, I hope that is the answer to all my problems!

Unfortunately I live far from the hydro shop... not sure I can get back there any time soon...

From what I read, the yellowing and brown spots only show several weeks after the deficiency is present, so even if I add it now, it would be too late?

But I will try that out with my other plants that are still in veg.

If its so necessary, why don't they just put it in bloom nutes?????

Happy growing;)

Hello beautiful flowers blooming! The best way to determine the right time to harvest is by looking at your trichomes through 60x ++ magnifier. By the color of the trichs you can tell what the overall effect will be.
There are many threads about that. Like this one: What are Trichomes? Trichome 101

I hope it helps have a good one! :Namaste:

Auto Chemdog Day 56

Still no chance of making the long journey to the hydro shop for the calmag.

No local nurseries sell it.

I have tried the micro. I never see any color... no matter how late it is. My eyes aren't all that I guess... and my hands shake so its hard for me to steady the scope.

I've read on several different sites that once an auto puts out yellow fans then it's time to harvest. Just mho something I read
