Graytail's 3rd: 4x4, HiBrix, Latest LED Tech, Lots Of Light!

:thanks: Gray. How about Stage, he dropped the mike and left the building, wow.

Word. :laughtwo:

It defied the laws of physics - BIG PLANT, tiny pot. :thedoubletake: :hmmmm: ... still havin' trouble wrapping my head around it ...

And they're almost all big ones this year. A guy's gotta go big if he wants to compete with that bunch. :cheesygrinsmiley:

His plant was incredible. Last year had some regular sized plants that did OK, if I recall. :)

CareStaker and Graytail. Forgive me for the hijack but wanted to thank you both for the kind words.

That's what I call producer to consumer closed circuit :passitleft:

Damn CS.....that's a mountain of bud. Need help burping those jars? I got some vacation days to burn. Wow!!

Those are GT's prescription bottles. :volcano-smiley:

Although I think of it more like a wine cellar, and those are all small batch, single grower, high end varietals...

Need energy, need clarity, relaxation, appetite, sleep, whathaveyou.... just read the label, and pick your jar. :Namaste:

:high-five:

Pretty much. :cheesygrinsmiley:

But I'm going to have to start diversifying - I have way too many varieties of clear soaring sativas. :laughtwo: But I've narrowed it down to Carnival and Rio (Carnival x Utopia Haze) for the best-of-sativa awards, with a few others for their novelty, like Panama and Tikal. And I have to find an open day to do a smoke report on Dr Grinspoon - that one is Very Special like the Panama. Something about it is so very very authentic. It IS what its genetics say it should be. I have the Channel+ now - the 1:1 THC/CBD strain and it's a winner with at least one more plant to come. And I still get into GLP when I want a good stone. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Now I find myself yearning for more flavor. I envy the great fruity ones, but I'm just not very fond of the indica finish. I can fall asleep at pretty much any time, as it is. This Tikal smells great in full bloom - very berry - but it didn't hold well in the first couple cures. Ah, that reminds me - when I crack the old Jamaican Dream jars, they still give me a blast of fruit. That was a very nice high - just a touch of lethargy when the rush fades - sort of enveloping. :cheesygrinsmiley: I like Y Griega, too. It has an odd rubbery smell to it and there's something foggy in the high that I haven't identified yet, but it really surprised me with its punch! That's another winner. I love Utopia Haze, but it isn't any fun to grow. I wish I could find that first pheno I got ... I still have another seed onhand ...

Maybe someday soon, it won't be hard to get together with some other growers and pass our best around. :Namaste:

I got a week old utopia haze, what didn't you like? Any tips?

Aw sheesh, it's just so fluffy. It's not one of the worst, not like a pure Thai or Original Haze, but it wants to grow tall and elegant, and it doesn't like it when you refuse. So when I train like I usually do, it ends up with a bunch of ugly bent-over colas with sickly fading fluffy foliage. The smoke, however, is grand! :thumb:

I'd like try try it once in a bloom-from-clone SOG, ala the mad DrZiggy. :geek: :cheesygrinsmiley: Mine usually rooted well, so I'd take a bunch of cuts and run them in 3 gallon pots with no training except clipping side branches, make 'em single cola plants and let 'em grow up like they want to. :hmmm:

The Paki Chitral is the frutiest strain I've grown to date, GT. Despite being all indica it has a very uplifting high, too. It's one of the foundation strains for the Dark Devil Auto that everyone raves about. Compared to the Mazar i Sharif (also 100% indica) it is devoid of the heavy skunky aroma and is not at all a "couch lock" high. Overall, it is not the most potent smoke around but it makes up for that by being absolutely delicious when you set it on fire. Plus, if you get the right phenos, it is pretty as can be!

I think you are aware I'm sativa sensitive. I was gifted some Tangie grown in my soil mix over the holidays and I can't even smoke it because it turns me into a gibbering, floor pacing wreck. The Tangie is an overhauled Tangerine Dream and my compatriot raves about it - very fruity and delicious.

Might as well throw a Chitral pic in since I was babbling about it. :circle-of-love:

Heheh, you need to totally stay away from Carnival then. It's like smoking caffeine.

I've been impressed with the Paki Chitrals I've seen, yours included - fuzzy trichs All over the place and great coloration. CareStaker also recommended Master Kush, which I've seen other growers rave about. And there's a Larrys OG cross (can't remember the name) that's been getting some attention lately, too. I've found my sativa now, so it'll be time to go exploring elsewhere. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I have some Ace paki chitral kush beans I'm gonna run next after this upcoming round. I wish I would of started one of those instead but I already have another bubba kush x hash plant started from them. After a good cure it's some seriously amazing smoke :passitleft:

Shit! Yeah... You know I was the one who plugged Sue on the Carnival and Jam Dream based on always paying attention to your fine journaling, GT. I also pegged you as the best DBHB kit growing mentor and you did an A+ job. Bless your heart.

I dare to suggest that personal strain compatibility is not strictly sativa vs indica. If you puffed on my fav all Indica, DarkStar, you would likely find it as repugnant as I find strong sativa strains. Panama is ok for me at certain times. It is all sativa. The other side of the coin is that Sage 'n Sour is only 70% sativa if you do the math. It turns me into a wreck with one hit! No telling how much tooth enamel I've ground away trying to build up a tolerance to it... My card carrying 23 yo son absolutely loves it! He also likes the Chitral bunches. If I offer him some DarkStar he says "no thanks." Junior would have smoked up all the Panama in short order if I let him.

The Chitral I have is from Cannabiogen and is the same seed stock as ACE. They share. So many options... However....

It is very landracy and is not a typical " going down down down" indica. It's a pretty, berry, great tasting all-indica "landrace" that you can session smoke all night long without crashing. When you hear people rave about the "soaring" Dark Devil Auto high - it has a strong genetic Chitral backbone. In the Dark Devil auto thread I don't really see any info on the genetic make-up of the plant. It is hard to find... But yep. Chitral is there in spades if you delve.

To that end, I'm giving you a little "wink wink nudge nudge" from an indica lover.

Did I ever thank you properly for that PeeJay? Let me do so now. Thank you so much for the recommendations. You were so spot on its crazy. The Carnival is a winner all the way around for me and I look forward to trying the Jamaican Dream when I return home. Curing for two months while I vacation, I'm anticipating something truly special when I get back.

You're a good friend PeeJay. So glad I met you and that you cared enough to be involved in my grow. :circle-of-love:
