Granny420 Grows Multiple Strains In Soil Using ViparSpectra XS1500 And Vivosun Tents

I am pushing in a/c room air in a bottom 6” vent with an in-line fan. I have another 6” vent on the top of the opposite side kinda open to allow air to escape. I will change this to the opposite (pulling air out the top and in the opposite bottom) some time but it’s keeping temp fine at the moment. I have a fan running to circulate air and I just put in a humidifier yesterday, set on 70%. My RH was running mainly in the mid 40s. I got that setting from a chart in the 420 grow info area.

As for heat, with these ViparSpectra lights I am not having any problem with heat. Of course, they are only at 50% and 60%, so only half of the potential currently. My temps stay mainly in the mid to upper 70s, occasionally into the low 80s, with a drop after lights out to low 60s.

I have to do an update just on this tent, later tho.
Good Morning M' Dear!
When you get around to your update on the tent, I am interested in how you keep it light tight during lights out hours with the openings for fans etc. I assume the in-line fan is light proof? Are there any light leaks that you have to deal with?
There is no rush on this, I'm not in any hurry, but wanted to get the question in while you consider your update.

:thanks: :green_heart:

Hello Granny!

I'm sorry to arrive so late but so happy to finally be here!

I'm way back here at Labor Day working my way to current. However, I've seen some things that I need to comment on before I forget.

I hope you don't mind me putting up some old quotes.

I’m not a spring chicken, I’m more like the 60+ year old mule (ass) working extremely hard just to say a “heehaw” for an apple!
The tone has been set. I know lots more yucks will be forthcoming! :Rasta:

LEGEND FOR ABBREVIATIONS
I've got one more acronym in response to your list of acronyms: WTF! 👀

Hey Granny I hope there's room for me to tag along too. Love being crazy and goofy too.
Please let him in Granny! 😁

just a heads up my senses of humor is an acquired taste so if I get out of line just give me a good smak
Have you smacked him yet? May as well get it out of the way 'cause Chris is guaranteed to get out of line before it's over! :)

Granny’s not so giggly today tho. My dearest girl friend died this morning. I was supposed to take her for an epidural under anesthesia today, but alas, I will have to catch her in Heaven.
So sorry to hear this, Granny. The loss of a "dearest" friend is hard, hard, hard.

But this is going to be very hard on me to get set up. Lots of health issues, as many have. So slow going
Slow and steady finishes the race, Granny! The hell with winning it. :)

Wonder Woman?.....uh....no. At my age, I wonder.........a lot, like every time I go to another room for something and wonder why I'm there. :scratchinghead:
Get yourself some memory foam shoes LadyC. Easy peasy!

Okay. Let me continue reading. Things are really getting interesting about now (then)!

Good Gawd! Look at the size of that cola! No wonder it's called "Fat Bastard"!!
@Granny420, I'm really looking forward to this one. :cheer:
I had some pretty fat ones on the 2 FBs I grew late last year. Even after a close trim, there were still a few fatties! I believe I may have gotten slightly different phenos too.

I may have to do that. :thanks: Lady!:high-five:

I am looking at the ViperSpectra KS5000. I see that being used in a lot of journals. Says it’s for a 4x4 to a 5x5, which is the right size. Anyone used it and any thoughts about it?
Granny, I have used it and I loved it! In fact, it's my fav light at the moment. :)

I worked OB as an RN… and it was the men who pass out! I quickly learned to keep my eye on the dads too and to get them graham crackers and a chair BEFORE that point! All their bravado in men’s real life, does not prepare them for delivery.
I made the mistake of peeking around the sheet during my wife's cesarean. All the blood made my knees buckle big-time, but I managed to remain upright!

I took no more peeks! :Rasta:

Gotta love those Fatties GDB. Those budz look tasty.

Good Morning Everyone!:high-five::high-five::high-five::high-five::high-five::high-five: High fives all around!:)
I hope you are all having a great start to your days! It’s sunny and 69-70F here with a light breeze and if feels amazing to have cooler temps outside!

Hey Lady! :high-five:Always a great start to my day when I wake up to your sunshine too!🌞
Right now, I just have the two 6” vents on one side (the darkest side) kinda open to allow air out of the tent. At the moment there are no lights on in this upstairs area at night, as well as the only window has double cardboard taped to it above the a/c unit, so minimal light thru the a/c unit is all and it’s a long way from this tent. I do know (my only complaint) that this Vivosun tent is NOT light proof because from the outside I can see light coming thru places in the zippers when the lights are on. Hope that makes sense! :)
Good morning Granny. 🍋
Good morning Mr Lemon! Hope you are having a super day and that those trees of yours are continuing to thrive! :yummy:

I think I’m gonna answer GDBs all in a separate post cuz I think he caught up on all of my journal in one shot! LOL!

:hug::hug::hug::love::hug::hug::hug:

Hi GDB,
This question is remedial and a little embarrassing. You answer lots of questions in your posts. How do you answer a series of questions/comments in a single post? You must be using the quote feature or something like that. What is the procedure for this?

Between you and GDB, I have to have a towel handy to keep cleaning up the coffee I spit out in laughter when I read your posts.
Ummm....thank you?
Well I just lost it to, behind that last remark from RR! Midol -- my goodness!

It's getting bad my gf had to break into her secret stash and get me the heavy hitters.
RR, have you tried the new Reese's "Take Five" bar? Chocolate, peanut butter, caramel and salty pretzel pieces. It's heaven on earth, dude! 😋

Hey Crusher.

You highlight the text you want to quote. Once highlighted you're given the option to "quote" or "reply." Select quote and the highlighted text will be saved. You can repeat those steps for any additional comments you want to quote.

Then when you're ready to respond you will see a button at the bottom left of the page that says "Insert quotes." Click that button and you'll get a box that says "Review Selected Messages." Hit the button that says "Insert quotes," and all the quotes will appear in the body of the page. You then simply type your response under each quoted statement!

Sounds like it's perfect to sooth my aching period. Got 2 more nights of this bull$hit. Then it's WEED time. Thanks GDB

This one will last a lot longer than GDBs cuz ppl won’t be smokin’ it Ramblin is on his period!

(FTFY) Fixed that for you. 😁

Well I've finally caught up Granny!

I must say, this is an ambitious undertaking! Small plants, yes, but so many of them!

I'm looking forward to following along. I bought my own little bar stool for seating. It's made of wood out of necessity. Some of the folks in here will smoke your chair right from under you, given the opportunity! :)

:welcome:GDB!:high-five: It’s great to see you here! I know your journal is sure a busy one and I’m so happy you got some girls going now! Now I know you saw the awesome couch Lady C gifted to me, so don’t be jealous when yours is all smoked! You can come lounge here any time you want. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I’m just pleased to hear you’ve caught up here. Guess you have learned I have a warped sense of humor too! And I changed my mind a bit on what I am doing here along the way. :)

RR man has been here all along. I’ve already fallen in love with him, his dog, and his gf! :cheesygrinsmiley: Woof!

No, he has not needed smacked yet… you on the other hand, may need smacked first, but then again, you might like that! Har har:laugh::rofl:

Seriously tho, has anyone seen Chris? I have checked his journal a few times and he’s been mia from it for a bit. Hope he is doing ok. He probably harvested some of his girls and is enjoying, but I’ve been a bit worried. 🙏

It’s been over a month now and I still break down often, but doing ok most of the time. You all sure keep my head in a good place. She would love that I’m growing again and she would very much want me to go forward. Miss her much tho. And :thanks: for including her here. Someday I’ll tell you all a bit about my friend, Ladybug.

Slow and steady finishes the race, Granny! The hell with winning it. :)
It’s more like slow and unsteady is gonna finish this one! :)

Aren’t those just beautiful fatties!?! What a great job you did with those FBs! :thumb::bravo::drool:
I did go read your review too. Hoping mine turn out half as good as yours and @con ‘s did!

That is awesome to know! I did purchase the ViparSpectra KS5000, but I also purchased 4 more of the ViparSpectra XS1500 Pros too. I will use them all somewhere along the way! Someone, can’t remember who, I think it was either @StoneOtter or @InTheShed that said I might want to consider the 1500s in case my plants are not an even canopy.

You use a 5’x5’ that is like what I have (I think), with the slanted top. Is that right? That’s what I bought due to this side (east upstairs) being an older home with slanted ceilings.
I made the mistake of peeking around the sheet during my wife's cesarean. All the blood made my knees buckle big-time, but I managed to remain upright!

I took no more peeks! :Rasta:
 Yep, that’s part of the reason for the drape you had to peek around! Yes, labor and delivery can make the toughest of men vulnerable while making the women delivering into the strongest. But what a joyous end with the new babes!

With that, I can see there are more messages here, but will end this for now and be back!
Lovies to ALL!!!
