Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

I did notice that the stem from the ground to the first leaves seems like a little bit of a distance. I think the sticks will help keep her stabilized at least for a little while so that her stem can get stronger and be supportive. I'm sure keeping her in enough soil that is moist will help back. I have a feeling I will be watering every one or two days using the method I have been. I will post pictures more often so you guys can see how she is doing with your eyes, and if it agrees with what my fingers feel.

It will help indeed. She could just be leaning towards the light. That can be adjusted by simply turning the pot a little bit each day to the right and give her time to adjust slowly? She may straighten herself naturally without the need of support.

She'll grow out of it in time.

Just glad the nutrient burn stopped.

We got this Grandpa!

She is searching high and low for water . hoping her root ball forms. She will take time.

But her new leaves are lush and the nutrient burn has not affected the new growth so it's good news.

We'll have to keep an eye on her stalk which is leaning.

She may need soil pushed up against the trunk like TMD brilliantly suggested.

Or she may need a peg to help her stand straight.

Just putting it out there for future just in case.

I'm just so happy to see GREEN!

Hahahahaha

If it weren't for the borders I would be there right now hooking you up.

I'm there in spirit Grandpa!
Yeah, I'm sure she is searching. I would really like for her to start searching down instead of the obvious sideways. LOL! Sometimes we just can't control it all.
That is great to hear that or New Growth is more green than brown, :thumb:
Kelley put a couple of bamboo skewers into the pot to straighten her and to support her. Will get pictures of those in a day or two. Poor girl... I think I am being as gentle as a lamb, but it seems I'm more like a bull in a china shop to her when I handle her. So she also need to defennd against me. :tears-of-joy:

YOU'RE happy to see green? I hear it and I become ecstatic! :tongue-out:
Thank you for being such a great friend, G2H. In truth, the whole Community is there for each other. That's just an absolute fact. It's great to know that you are there. Please know that we are for you as well. :folded-hands:

Looks like she's turned the corner, just stay the course and she will do fine.
I'll do my best, PW.
I do have one question for the soil medium expert, though. 😁 I have been hearing that taking a soil such as this one and the kind soil, that it is better to place it about 1/3 of the total volume of soil and then the rest of it should be something like the FFOF or the like, so the problems like we have been experiencing here wouldn't happen. By the time the roots get down into the water only soil, then they start sucking up the nutrients from there. Not sure if I described that accurately, but if you can render an opinion, I would really appreciate it. My :thanks:

Sometimes a little roughness gives them character gramps . And the roots reaching sideways is a good thing cause when they reach the edge, they have no choice but to head south.

Another thought and please excuse me of you are doing this already. I haven't used the smart pots. That's what your have right? A fabric pot? Regardless of the name, I've noticed a lot of people using them like to put a milk crate type obeject under them to allow for the medium to dry more evenly. I feel like I'm remembering you saying you are already doing that, (so excuse the redundancy) but it may help with the bottom drying out a little quicker.

But Jane really looks good! Looks like she has a couple more nodes since I last checked and the leaves look very robust green and smooth. All wonderful signs!

I hope your Saturday is a great one! And you are enjoying time with your little one. And keep us posted on how the new light comes along. Were here to help

YEEEEE...HAW!!!! :tears-of-joy:

Kind Soil tells us to put a little Kind soil at the bottom of the pot and a milder soil on top. Sounds like you understand how you should set it up for the next grow.

Excellent! Thanks a lot, PW! I really hope things are well in your world. :namaste:

I work retail so Holidays are brutal.
I know how that goes, PW. I worked in retail in a number of different positions for years. You can completely forget about any kind of a decent Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons when you do that kind of work.

Goodmorning Grandpa!! happy sunday, hope you're having a blessed day

And a happy Sunday to you! Not feeling well enough to go to church, I don't want to get anyone sick.... Everyday is a blessed day. My Lord and Savior makes sure of that. 😁

Will do...:hugs:

This is you. :cough:

Take care of that heart of yours. :green_heart:

I just wanted to share...when I quit smoking cigs I quit drinking at the same time cause they go hand in hand for me. I quit cold turkey by buying a box of small Mr. Freeze freezies and put them in the freezer. Every time I wanted a cig, I would go to the freezer and have a freezie to numb my gums that were aching, then I would chew on the plastic and hold it in my fingers as if I were smoking. Three small boxes later I kicked the habit altogether. I don't know how I would have dealt with my oral fixation...hahahahahaha

Anyways, just caring about your fragile health there. Anything to improve our health as 420 family, INCLUDING ALL OF US!

hugs
