You have that right brother. Its gotten to the point that I don't even like to turn the TV on. I would rather listen to music and spend time with my plants than watch the idiot box. Little did I know when I saw the movie "Idiocracy" a long time ago that I would getting a sneak peak at the world i was going to be living in that world about a decade later. I found I needed to disengage from all other forms of social media after spending a few months on this forum. The attitude and respect found here is how I was raised to treat others and wish it would be common throughout the rest of the country/world. Love my 420 friends and family.

I quit watching t.v. years ago.. Say it to yourself a few times... And question marks start showing up. Paid programming...paid programming... Paid.. Wait.. Someone is paying shit tons of money, to select what shows and commercials I see and in what order...? Wait why.?. Isnt it obvious.. And there are too many news worthy things dont make it to air... And they constantly tell people how the masses feel by polling.. And I havent met 1 person that agrees with their polls..they are lies..
T.v. is how they plant "thought processes" in your mind like seeds. And attempt to teach you how to respond... In done...lol I'm done. Whoa my bad boys.. My bad.. (Exits room still ranting to himself)..

Ditto for me. I only watch three channels anymore. Fox News Network, that while right-leaning, does things equal and fairly. You get both sides of the aisle and things you won't hear in the mainstream media and left-leaning networks. Game Show Network... Self-explanatory. And, my San Francisco Giants baseball broadcasts. I am also actively boycotting the NFL. I have no patience for spoiled boys playing a sport, that admittedly took a lot of work and sacrifice to reach their level, but it is still a game and they are being paid millions of dollars to play it. If you want to exercise your first amendment rights, which is your right, that is not the proper place to do it or the proper time. Your own damn time off from practice, working out Etc and protest in front of Congress, the White House Etc. But not on the football field. Which, if you read the rules in the NFL rule book, prohibit you from doing as a player. Don't get me started on the league...

While I dont agree with their actions I feel they are using the "stage" they have to promote their beliefs...much like a lot of us using 420 mag. As a stage. Pushing our opinions to legalize it.or push our opinions about football per say.. Alot of people would say this isnt the platform for that.. The same as you feel about the field.. I just think if you stop watching football over some dumb stuff a player did.. What's next... Musicians do dumb stuff.. No more music.. Actors do dumb stuff no more. T.v. or movies... If you go over the top it only makes your life boring I think. Changes nothing...cutting out countless hours of football smiles and bbqs and great conversation.. Because some guy took a knee during a song once...seems like your punishing yourself..So I dont care what they do as long as they play.. I wish the media would stop giving it so much attention.. Just let the cry babies cry.. Dont televise it..once again not agreeing just pro freedom to express..

I look at it as they are exercising their 1st Amendment right, and I will do the same by not watching them throw their temper tantrum. When viewers stop watching, ratings go down. When ratings go down, sponsors and advertisers leave. When that happens, bottom lines are reduced greatly. When bottom lines are reduced, owners get upset. When owners finally get tired of it, they will put in their code of conduct that they don't want anything happening during the anthem, before...during...or after.

Now if they want to do it in their off duty or any other time, by all means go ahead. But don't think for a minute that many other employers out there don't have conduct clauses for their employees.

And if their actions don't bother you, keep watching the game like before. If you don't like the anthem bullshit, then don't watch the game. I am still watching, but I am tired of it and about to stop watching them.

Pat, don't pay attention to the media coverage you see. Those are stories that their puppet masters want them to run...has no bearing on the reality over here. I am not saying I like the guy, but the media is just so freaking over the top on the bullshit coverage they run. They paint a picture they want people to believe. I live in one of the communist states that does everything they can do to manipulate what we think. Its really comical. Don't buy the hype Pat, its not nearly as big of a cluster fuck as people would like you to think.
 
I understand why they kneel but theyre fueling the fire. It's about coming together. And look at the media the only time we hear about something it's to perpetuate race on race tensions. We should be standin up together saying no thats wrong. Instead people are so defensive of their political parties or too arrogant to. I feel like technology has taken the life out of community. Everything is done at home on a phone computer or tv. Even when your out you notice everyone walking with their fave in their phone like little sheeple. Kids these days have no idea what it is to actually enjoy a moment only how to capture it so they can post it to Facebook Insta or twatter. It makes me sad.

On a positive note there are great minded individuals in the world and I strongly believe that we can help those wandering souls find their way!

I have an idea why don't they show the fans who love and respect our country during the anthem or the person singing it and service members and just omit the players all together? I love football too much to let politics get in the way haha

Religion and politics.

Players weren't on the field for the anthem more than a hand full of times before 2009.
There are no law or rules prohibiting them from their actions.

I can only hope that if I EARNED a spot as one of the elite athletes in professional sports, I had the fortitude to use my platform for good.

Truth is people of color are getting gunned down by police and shit isn't changing.
No need to refer to the racist verse of the song they're kneeling during.

And why does one lose their rights bc they make money?

Sure some of the media is just waiting on sucking his cock and making up alot of shit, but if he Cofefe's any further with his obviously unfit ways of running your country somewhere along the way people got to get it together you know what I'm saying man?? Brother we still have racial shit over here in South Africa, it's been 23 years since we stopped the apartheid thing and still we get shit people bring up from the past. No one has said they have lost their right. As someone who spent 22 years in the Marine Corps, I love that the athletes have that right to do that and face no repercussions from their government. But freedom of speech isn't freedom from consequences of that speech. And I freaking love that if we don't like a company, an athlete, a team, a politician we can express our freedom of speech by avoiding that business or athlete or sport or whatever.

There is a huge difference between disagreeing with a cause/disagreeing with the manner in which someone chooses fight for their cause and them having the right to speak out for that cause. I would gladly redo the 22 years I served and 3 wars I fought through to ensure the athletes have the right to do what they are currently doing......as well as peoples rights to tell those same athletes what part of their asses to kiss over their little protests. I don't have to agree with the cause, just their right to do it.

Okay guys... Back to business. Our little one is standing about an inch tall. Cannot see any true leaves on her yet. Emma and Elsa are starting to decline again. I am assuming it is because of their age.
Temp was 88° and rH was 36% last evening. I decided to take those readings after the lights had been on for quite a while, instead of in the morning when they hadn't been on for very long. Big temperature difference!
