Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

All right, I'm confused. Just ran temp. and rH. Temperature is 82°. rH reeds LO. What confuses me is the humidity reading. I'm assuming, without proof, that means that it is too low to read. If so, then that's not good. He went ahead and placed the bowl of water with a towel hanging out of it in the tent, and we'll check again later. We also gave Jaws a little water to keep the seed moist.

Don't stress too much about the humidity. The other factors are more important in my opinion. I ran my first grow in the dead of the northeast winter and I was lucky if my tent got up to 25% for the first month and mine grew fine. Sure you want it higher if you can get it while your plants are in veg, but to me all the other factors are more important.

Yes, it is using batteries. We don't have an AC adapter for it. The batteries are only about two weeks old or so, so probably not. Good thought, though! It could be as simple as that. We will check by changing the batteries.

Sometimes battery's take so long to sell or are so long in a closet or something that they aint Full anymore. Here in the Netherlands sometimes the cheap battery's are empty from the package. Thats 1 out of 10 with the cheap ones...

Good luck, hope it was just that :)

Happy Friday! Just a quick update for you guys. The humidity has actually gone up into the mid-to-high 30s, and the 10th with lights on is 82°. A little warm for my tastes, but I like the humidity a lot better. I know you guys said not to stress over it, but it's still put a little bit of confidence back in me. Still no sign of a baby girl yet, but I'm sure she'll be making an appearance soon.

I was listening to a podcast this morning, and I ran across and episode about ventilation and fands. They touched on something I'd never heard of or even thought of before. Wind burn. I'm wondering if I have TOO much air movement going on in there. The clip on fan only has one speed... Turbo. LOL. The exhaust fan is pumping out air well, and we have the flap open in the back of the tent halfway. That is to hopefully let in some humidity from the main room. I'm wondering if I close the back flap, and leave the bowl and towel with water in the tent, that maybe the humidity will stabilize where it is. Or... I'm just over-thinking on this one, and it's simply something that was a part of the old set up that has been fixed now. Thoughts? Opinions?

Unless the fan is pointed directly at the sprout, I wouldn't worry.

Also, the hotter the air, the more water it's able to hold. That's probably why you see a rise in humidity.
That temperature is great for a young vegging plant!

I'd just let it ride Gramps!

Hi Grandpa, Looks like you have plenty of help growing. So I'm going to side step and just watch from the background.
However, if you have any questions about THC/CBD oil, I may be able to help you. I have been following you closely so if you have any questions just post them here and I'll be sure to check back.

Wishing your grow infinite success

Yeah I am still lurking in the background. Basically just being a drain on the cheesy poof resources :)

GH...very well. Please allow me to express my heartfelt gratitude for all you have helped me with, and for following me so closely. And thank you for staying. Yes I do have an interest in the oil. We have made a couple of batches using a combination of vaped herb and Shake. While it is a very simple procedure that we use, the oil we produce was helpful, but I also feel it could be a little more potent. I know there's not much left in the material that we use, but we alternated between 75% shake and 25% of The vaped. The next batch that would be reversed. It seemed the potency remained the same, regardless. Thanks for your offer and I look forward to going over this area with you.

Are you why I keep having to bring more every time I stop by? I guess I will start doubling up at the store
