I really don't even care that much. Once these went outside, they became "expected casualties" with no real high expectations. That said, I gotta check the rest of the plants and determine if they need to be cut soon. If there's no more rot, I'll have pounds...way more than I need for sure!

Also got 2 more in the tent already so there's that. These guys need to be up-potted soon. They are already at node 4 and just over an inch tall and wide!

The new growth on the bottom one is looking good.
I'm with Tra, I don't like to give up on a plant, and do my best to bring them back around.
They look salvageable :)

I really love it when I grow a sickie. I really find it so satisfying coaxing them back to good health. Makes me feel good inside :)

Hope you have the best day!
:green_heart:
Yea, they'll be fine. They took FOREVER to get this far though. However they're autos, so the stunting of growth needs to be addressed soon so I don't end up with a 3 inch tall plant at harvest! LOL
Hey, at least you'd get a joints worth!
As my ole nan used to say “3 inches is better than no inches”.
The big ape made it! WooHoo! :woohoo:

That's a lotta' damn leaves. We need an app for that.

How long you think it'll take you to strip them all (ballpark estimate)?

Congrats on the JOTM win! :welldone:
I'd estimate it'll take between now and later!
Thanks GDB!

@Melville Hobbes sorry about the BR!!! Plants are looking freaking awesome other than that though!! Ditch those colas, disinfect your shears between clippings.

You’re still going to have full BUCKETS!!

I just use a toaster and a toaster canoe. If you do it in the toaster oven I would still keep in unwrapped so the moisture can evaporate. 160ºF seems good but do keep an eye on it since it won't take long unless it's a full sized flower.
Ok, thanks!
I'm getting a bad feeling here. Clipping the fan leaves there's no scent, and no sticky. I clipped a little tester, and I'm going to quick dry it.
I need to find out if it's worth saving.

Consider them gone!

:(
The toaster oven smelled like sawdust.
I packed a full chamber, 210°C. 6 minute session. Not really feeling anything.
I don't think Kong is worth keeping.
Maybe I'll feel differently tomorrow.
I'll try another chamber tomorrow before I make any decisions.

Rest on it, cure it and it could turn out to be better than you think!

Welp, she's a dud.
I tried another chamber and I got nothing except a bad taste, and an irritated throat.
If it were just the taste I would use her for edibles, but a total lack of potency is a deal-breaker.
It was a free seed 🤷‍♂️
Win some, loose some.

super sad face. Is it worth trying to do a bubble hash wash on the plant just to see if there is anything salvageable?

Tough break, Mel.

Outdoor grows are a roll of the 🎲

Thanks Roy, but I've still got Godzilla, and I already know she's good. And I've got plants for the winter to start soon.

No, not really. The trichs were a little on the sparse side, and weren't sticky at all. It's like they were dried out and dusty.
Not like dried weed, but like dessicated... I don't really have a word for it.
What a sad end to that plant. :(

Whatever THC there is in the flowers might still be salvageable with hash though like Stizz1le said.
If there was THC, sure. But it was a complete dud. Literally nothing but the taste of sawdust and a harsh inhale. No high, no buzz.
Tough break, Mel.

Yup. I still love growing outdoors, but this sort of thing makes me look forward to the indoor season.
Sorry about the bad bud you cannot tell how good your weed is until all the work is done. 🍋
Thanks Keith, you really don't know how it's going to turn out.

damn that sucks that its a truly full loss. like you said though at least you still have Godzilla, nothing to do at this point but to chalk it up to experience, pack a bowl and move on to the next grow. :passitleft:

You ever make dry ice hash?

That's my go-to for fluffy/undesirable, or early harvested buds.
I strip tricomes & toss the planty shit.

Might not take ya to terp town, but makes for a lovely little sprinkle on everything I burn.

No, not yet.
I like bubble hash a lot, and I don't mind the work.
The problem is even at a fairly high heat I'm not getting any effects. Even the 5% THC "Doug's Varin" I grew a few years ago was stronger than this, despite the 6% CBD.
There's just nothing there to extract, and I have no idea why.

Yup, and I have everything set and ready to go for the next one.
Just waiting until I've harvested Godzilla.

It looks like I may have missed a little bit of rot when I removed a nug from Godzilla.
It's also time to spray Survivor again. That powdery mildew just keeps coming back.

Godzilla Glue #4

This is the end bud of the branch that the previous rotten nug was taken from.

Survivor

Do you know what?

If this is the worst thing that happens to el Beardo today, it’s still a good day.

We live, we try, we swear, we learn.

Xo
Yup!
I still have a sore throat from vaping that tester though.

Closing in on the end of the season! I'm hoping I can keep her out there for another week or two.
Thanks for stopping by!
