Hmmm you might be onto something there, although my heater is in the tent and is angled over to that side so if anything during the night that side of the tent should stay warmer. But even then there would only be a slight bit of difference.
The plants that aren't stretching literally look like they are being directly affected by the extraction it's so weird. Like if I drew a 2ft radius around the extraction anything in that area hasn't stretched.
My intake that's only on with lights on sits in the middle of the tent pushing air against the front doors of the tent to then deflect back onto the plants. So that's pretty even.
The one plant that's in the middle that's doing nothing fast at all! I've never seen the leaves like it. Almost darker in green smaller and alot more shiny than most almost like a camellia leaf. Any suggestions.
Ah that's good info about the pinking was thinking how that is even possible Haha!
Theses plants are from seed, correct?
The most like cause for the difference in growth is that they are “different plants”.
When I grew Glookies from seed, I got one
sativa leaning plant ( noticeably different in leaf structure, amount of stretch, Bud structure and finish time).
I got 4 indica learners, but even they were all different to a degree.
It’s one reason clones are a much easier grow from a consistency standpoint.
Lots of guys I know hate growing from seed. They all cite “too time consuming”.
What they’re actually referring to is the process of finding the best phenotype or genotype to keep.
I rather enjoy the process. Nor does it cost me “time” as far as my production goes. I’ve always got something in the flower tent.
We get 12 plants in Michigan. I only flower 4 at a time. That gives me 8 in veg.
The thing is that the number of plants in flower isn’t what determines yield.
Your yield potential is more related to your
light footprint and intensity.
The average 1000 watt hps or big LED has a 4x4 effective footprint. 4 plants vegged up bigger and and scrogged will pretty much yield the same as 12 little ones grown in a “sea of green”.
It’s all preference. There’s really no “right” or “wrong” way to grow.
I grow for the fun of it, not for “profit”.
Lots of guys grow to make money.
Now if your goal is “cash crop” you can select fast maturing indica strains and get an extra crop or two a year.
Around here, those guys always have 12 in flower and never veg anything. Being a legal state, they just go get 12 new “teenagers” after they harvest and their back to flowering.
