I’ve grown this out. Bushy is an understatement.

Every bud site will try to become a branch.

Don’t be afraid to trim the undergrowth on this strain.
I am going at them tonight. It's coming to the end of what I call the adjustment week, the first week of 12/12 so now it's time to make some room for the light penetration. keep finding tops everywhere so it's time to give these plants a hair cut so I can really see what I'm dealing with. I'm still in two minds of how many tops to get rid of there are a fair few stuck between the two trellis nets. Do I feck em off or keep em. That is the question. I dont know whether they will stretch up into the light.

It doesn’t stretch all that much. Mine finished only about 8 inches above the screen. That said, it stretched sideways more than I expected. It’s a bushy beast.

I felt that all the under growth sapped the tips some.

I’m running it again right now, I’ll send some pics after it fills the screen a bit more.

Ah I see so give it a good cut back then. I mean the amount of tops on these plants if all given the opportunity there gunna become a big yeilder. I'll get some pics of the tips I'm talking about.

Yh for sure the more I know about her the better

These are a couple of the small little tops that are stuck between first and second canopy. Sorry for the poor photos had to take them from a video. Will these grow up to be something or get them gone? Opinions please!

The strain can definitely yield big. The problem I had was it was 1/3 popcorn.

it’s so bushy I couldn’t get light to the lower bud sites, and I’m not lacking for lights.

Personally, I’m not a fan of popcorn. Lol

I’m not in to taking the time to trim it up. Lol

Im following you to see if you discover something I missed. Lol

Week 8 day 53.

Very late night tonight. Found all the girls had started to wilt a bit and by measuring all the pots moisture they had drunk everything. Thankfully I was planning on watering early and gave them there first flower Seed sprout tea. Alfalfa, barley, mung bean sprouts. I also added in calmag, seaweed, katana roots, aloe vera juice, coconut water and biowetter. I applied this slightly different this time using a sprayer which I must say is the best thing I've done. Nicely spreads the water over the surface allowing even coverage and a slow enough rate the soil just laps it up. Each plant recieved 2ltrs. 500ml to the outer edge then another 500ml to the centre. The pots were then left alone while I got on with chores about 2 hours later I repeated the process 500ml to the outer edge 500ml to the inner. I will be checking how quick they drink this up. My aim will be to reach 2ltrs every other day.

All of the plants were struggling with light penetration and considering I'm still in the adjustment week it was time to open that canopy up and see what I was playing with. I removed alot of leaf that was overlapping or well under the canopy I also re-arranged some of the tops to maximise the best light they could get. It's so scary stripping it all off and looking and there naked plants after. I took some colars off that just didn't make it and were still bellow the first grow of the trellis I also removed any little pips that wanted to try there luck under the first canopy they are well and truly lollipopped. Let's see how they react! Excuse the pictures I hate what hps does to the camera.

Week 8 day 55
Sorry guys dropped off the radar a tad! After last weeks defoliation, I went in and gave them there last foliar spray. 500ml evolution 500ml water. 1ml fish mix 1ml biowetter 1ml seaweed 1ml calmag. This was to try and help the plants deal with the stress a little and help recovery.

Week 9 day 57.
After last weeks antics and the foliar spray over the weekend the girls have made a miraculous recovery to the point they look like there were never trimmed. The lower canopies are staying clear and the solar panels (fan leaves) nearest the buds have fanned right out. I'm still bending the larger collars under to give the rest a chance to catch up, as we are now stretching a little but nice spacing between nodes. We now have pre-flowers on most of the plants although I'm starting to see one sativa dominant coming through (far right hand plant).
I have continued with with 2ltrs of water with a sprayer every Monday, Wednesday and friday. They get 500ml around the outside 500ml in the middle. Given a rest while I do all other 9 then back again 500ml outside 500ml inside. I can happily say they are ripping through this 2ltrs each time god only knows how much they will drink when they are really going for it. Humidity sitting at 35% and temps 25°c lights on, 20°c lights off. I have also put the boosters on the hps and opened them up to medium spread keeping it at the 18" height mark they should be now at 660w.

Today I didn't have a tea ready so they got 10ml biowetter 10ml biosilica 10ml calmag 10ml seaweed 10ml ignition and 10ml katana roots added to thier water. I have started another flowering tea brew for Wednesday. The plan is to.... Monday, wednesday flowering tea, fridays seed sprout tea. That should keep the girls pumped!! Hope you all enjoy the read thanks for sticking with it so far I know I ramble a fair bit!

Oh yes! The avengence!
The top has new sheet of green across the entire top but the bottom is staying clean which is good and better than what it was. Very interesting plant to watch for sure! Should have some chunky bud. Thankyou for your advice btw @Glookies1 I will be following similar foot steps

Im in my 3rd go around and still trying to figure out how to maximize its potential

fisrt 2 have been good yield and smoke, though it takes awhile to finish.

@Glookies1 Oh my oh my oh my. What a disobedient strain of a plant I see what you mean by it just grows back lol! I've got alot of tips growing inbetween the two trellis myself and it's getting very crowded! I'll leave it until end of stretch and then cull the lot!

Week 9 day 61
Another late night finnish today! We have flowers all over the shop and more foliar than I can shake a stick at. Its becoming a real challenge to find space for all the tops. I have alot of leaves overlapping again and a huge amount of tops and little shoots of growth between the two trelis nets, and about the trelis that I dont think are going to come to much so a big cull will happen end of week 3 of flower (week 11 grow)

These plants! I can now see what @Glookies1 spoke about this strain just loves to regenerate! And they are lazy fat girls aswell happy to just sit there and take in the extra light, throw more leaves out instead of stretching a little. One side of my grow I have 3 plants that are just lagging behind causing a real issue with the canopy height it's just like there happy to just sit there. I really hope they catch up I just dont know why they refuse to grow almost.

Today I pushed the boat out with 4litres of water each. The first 2 litres was of my flowering tea and the second 2litres was my seed sprout tea. I really wanted to see how much they can drink over the weekend now and what affects giving the soil both at the same time will have.

Grow back it does, at a surprising rate. I’d suggest you cut out shoots as you plan, but don’t defoliate the tops you keep.

I tried taking about 1/3rd of the fan leaves to thin it out my first grow about 3 weeks into flower. . It responded by stopping flower development and growing new leaves.

My theory this go round is to leave space between the colas so they don’t block each other, and let the colas I’m keeping get a good 6 inches above the screen before I flip to flower.
