Says the 420 stalker !!!!. heehee sorry just saw it and saw a punchline. old habit. lol peace and blessing Growmie.

I keep stalking but it still hasn’t give me that ‘Well-Known Member’ trophy ;) I always find if you want help you’ve got to put some input in yourself.

If only more people would follow me journal and like my stuff I may have got that title already (hint hint):p

So I promised you an update today although small. Here is the new adjust a wing fitted with 400w metal halides for the last couple weeks of veg. I dontike how one side of the tent is behaving and the other not I'm going to re arrange the air in feed I think this may change things a little!

Also found one of the major stems has bent right over, the plant seems fine but I wonder weather it will affect it down the line. It's not a super crop more of a pinch point hmmmm weshall see!!

Also my 3 autos have qualified for the big tent so they best get a wriggle on. They are only in there to fill space and give me a bit of variety earlier on. Not expecting loads from them there just there because I can!

Oh I wish I had the medium sized ones now seeing yours. I can’t see my bloody plants unless I raise them.

Also, did you by chance ignore the instructions for setting up the wings up as any typical man would and try bend them the opposite way round? If you didn’t, neither did I ;)

Your just going to leave it bent over and let it find it’s own way back up?

Yh dude if I was going for 1000w set up I would probably jump to the large but went by the hydro shop and your recommendation. Nope I read the instructions lol. I'm an engineer by trade so kinda worked it out anyways.

Regarding the bend over stem I'm not sure what to do with her. The top of the plant is healthy still, the stem its self isnt broken it's just flat instead of round. If I try and re-set it then I may end up with worse off than I am now. I think the term dont fix something unless it's broken comes in on this one. We will see

I have thought about going double ended with them, 2 600w on each wing, but my temperatures are spot on at the moment, I dread to think what adding 1200w extra into the tent would do, plus the electric bill is already bad enough.

Ah ok, yeah I didn’t bend it the wrong way either then :p

Yeah I’m sure it’ll be fine, yeah you’d hate yourself as well if it snapped when trying to bend it back.

mate she will form a huge knuckle there. dont worry .

Awesome what we like to hear! The weirdest thing is its just grown like that rather than a supercrop kinda scenario. I'm not worried at all more intrigued as to what will happen with it lol. Maybe turn out to be a monster colar with any luck!

So for the end of week update! Week 5 day 33 .I'd normally water today but my compost tea still has about 12 hours left to finnish and tbh the girls are happy and can wait until 2moz. Today I was very naughty and gave the girls a bit of a slap 5/8 plants had there colars topped they are at the height now where I really want them to start branching out so it was time to give them the snip. All plants are doing exceptionally well the girls on the left are still lagging slightly but have picked up the pace since I changed over the light and re-arranged the air intake. Very pleased with there progress tomorrow they will bet getting a tea and a foliar spray to help with the stress I have put them through today! I purchased a ready bottled foliar for them which I've herd good reviews. But I have diluted 2:1 as looks a little strong

Week 5 day 34.
After yesterday's savage topping session I treated them to a veg tea that has been brewing for the past 48 hours. The thing with teas that took me a while to get into my head is this isnt a feed for the plant this is making a super army of bacteria and fungi to eat break down and poop out goodies for my plant I think of it as a booster of artillery/ reinforcement army. I mean there are things in this brew that will feed the plant but this isnt what I'm aiming for. There is enough amendments and goodies in the soil I'm just helping the proceeding along a bit.

I also foliar sprayed which is formulated by plant magic to help plant stress and give energy back to the plant. We will see about that.

I also raised the lights up once more to really see If will make a difference over the weekend. Gotta test these things out I guess.

My trelis is also ready and i have made it so i can put a second tier on aswell so when it comes to the stretch i can support the plant instead of strings going everywhere!

Ooh and if anyone is interested. The recipe to my tea is copied from our dear friend @Emilya Who has made many. This is her mid veg but with a little additive from my part:

4ltrs water- I use from my pond
2tbls molasses
1tbls alfalfa meal
1tbls oyster shell meal
1tbls all purpose fert. 5-5-5
10ml fishmix
5ml liquid seaweed
2tsp blood meal
1tsp horn and hoof
1/2tsp seaweed meal
1/2tsp fish blood and bone.

I let this bubble for 24 hours and then I added 1 handful of worm casts and left for another 24hours.

Before added to the soil I then added this into my bucket of 26 litres of pond water then added a little bit of Biowetter (yuka extract 10ml) and katana root stimulant 4ml. I always ensure that my water has been bubbling away and has a heater in the water as well. Root shock can really stunt growth so by making sure the water is around 18°c I dont need to worry and the bacteria fungal dont like being frozen.

Hi buddy, fellow uk organic grower here:D. Going to hang out and see how you do if that's alright?
Just had a quick read through but going to have to catch up properly :reading420magazine:.

Plants are looking really good, by looks of things there going to explode soon :Rasta:.

Good to see your using ecothrive. Used it myself a few times (it's actually still in my soil as I have reused for some time now, just found even with the ewc charge it seemed to deplete airation after 3 runs). Only thing that's niggling at me is how come your making all these sprout Teas and cts so early?
Ecothrive have added everything to the soil (that's why it's 40 quid a bag).

Awesome more the better mate! Its awesome you are now the third uk member that's jumped on board!.... I was starting to think I was the only one lol!

I hope they do explode they have been speeding up over the last week really need them to get some more length for the trellis.

Welllllll I love over complicating, tampering and tinkering. IMO yes it's a just add water soil but there is no harm increasing the microbial life in the soil it wont harm the plant and that's my main purpose of getting the teas in there from the start. I follow @Emilya a fair bit and use her seedling, mid veg and flowering tea being at the end of week 5 i hope this to be mid veg! But no complaints from the plants so far infact every SST or brew I have made I have seen an explosive period after. IMO echothrive is a super soil in a bag I'm just making activators to make the most of that soil.

Interesting about the aeration, I did add extra perlite at the beginning tbh I felt it needed some for a tad more drainage I also threw a couple bricks worth of coco in there aswell so pad it out a bit

Bet there's a fair few uk growers in here.. I suppose we just like to keep our heads down.
Your right in what your saying, its not like you can over do it.
Yeah I've seen a lot of emiliyas posts, always very informative and always seems one of the first on here offering help to those in need.
The airation was fine to begin with, I think over time as the organic matters broke down this changed. In hindsight I bet adding a few worms would sort it (and add some castings at the same time).

Oooh yes!! I have tiger worms which work the top area and african night crawlers who work the bottom. I also have the white springtail mites working the surface under my top dressing. Proper army!!!!

A question for all on supercropping. Everytime I have seen super cropping taking place the gardener always will bend the branch over to one side. If you didn't bend the branches after would super cropping still work if you squeezed the stem to break it all down then left it supported? Would it heal and still have the same knuckle?

Soooooo beginning week 6! Day 36! 2 days it's been since we gave them a drink, tea, raised the lights up and topped all the colars. Well they have paid no attention didn't blink an eye and grew like trees. I am a happy farmer right now. I think by end of week trellis will be on. They will be ready for a bit of supercropping also.

The two middle smaller plants I gave them a super crop today as it suits my plan having them cropped early. Was interesting giving it a go for the first time, the smell they put out and the amount of sticky sap also. My fingers stink! I had to tape a couple of branches up and it may have been a tad early..... but it will be a tester for sure to see how the others will react. I'm running out of room fast! Let's hope this trellis helps me!

Right then week 6 day 37 and what a evening it has been! Alot of fun alot of oh f*ck moments, squeaky bum holes and a fair bit of screaming from the ladies in the tent.

After some chatting to a couple of friends and working it out. I decided the tent is filling out way too fast and that room had infact got very tight very quick so the trellis had to come out. I have bent all the collars round and noticed just how many tops I really have. Note to self! Do not raise your lights if you want to veg for longer. By pulling the lights up yes you get explosive growth but the stems are more weedy and I could imagine wont do aswell for supplying fat ass buds.

I wanted to go at least another 2 weeks in veg but that will not be happening. I have super cropped when bending the longer colars over and squeezed the stems of colars that were staying straight up. I'm hoping this will stunt the growth a little bit giving that root ball a little more time to get bigger and for the smaller weedy collars to grow a bit of girth with the added bonus of the super crop once healed adding to yield. I also took a clone of each plant and doubled up on my two favourite plants to hopefully make a mother plant for the next round.

I lollipopped also, removing leaves that were getting no light and shoots that would have never made the cut and only wasted vital energy. I will give them until the end of the week to recover before
I switch to the hps lights and start bringing the hours down 2 hours per day until I hit 12/12 then I will bring the lights up to 600w mid next week. Time to get flowering under go! I just hope I'm not flipping them too early!

Looking the part, gonna fill that trellis so fast in the next week or so if it’s anything like the other journals I see. How did it feel to lollipop? I done a huge defoliation on my last grow, but only removing leaves, week 3 in flower, but couldn’t bring myself to ever lollipop.

They look good. Having just grown the strain I can tell you a couple things.

They’ll be cal mag pigs through the entire grow.

You’ll lollipop again. This strain regenerates
everything you trim. It’s best to strip them as much as you can in veg, it’ll slow them down recovering, but better now than once in flower.

I found I could prune in flower, that is remove branches that weren’t gonna get far enough above the net to amount to anything without slowing her down.

That said, if you defoliate, as in just take leaves to let more light to the bud sites, the
Bushy bitch will pause flowering to regenerate the leaves.

Once she’s fully set in flower, like 6 weeks in, you can defoliate and let some light to the buds, and she’ll keep flowering just fine.

It’s all of a 10 week strain. Barney’s says 70 days. Start that 70 day count when buds first form and you’ll be closer.

It also puts its weight on late. At 6 weeks in, they will not be real impressive. But they do fill in really well the last couple weeks.

It’s a heavy yielding strain, but ya gotta wait for it.

Fantastic bit of advise invaluable from someone who has grown this strain before. I havent seen any calmag issues yet but that's cos I've been building the supplies and foliar feeding with calmag from the start as I took your advise from the get go!

Looks like I'm in for a bit of a moody bitch. They are recovering well each time I mess with them. As you said I'll defoliate early on then leave it until later on in the flowering stage. I also have a second level to my trellis which I will use later on down the line.

Thankyou so much @Glookies1 you will be getting more than a few questions I'm sure!
