GG7's Indoor/Outdoor Grows!

you seen my pictures then had to add your own, im loving the gdp in them pots, im going to try and get some of them pots, id only need 3, but not sure if they sell them here or not, ill look on the auction site, the growth is amazing, i base my pots on them been 1 foot high so should be good for 3 ft plants, but im concerned about root damage due to plants getting so big, but them pots keep the roots growing and they dont get pot bound, i think only good things can happen with them pots,

can you actually see the roots where the holes are or do they die off just before they start coming out the holes, when i watched the video on them pots it showed that the roots benefit from getting oxygen from the holes and the ends of the roots die off due to them coming out in the open and this stops them getting root bound, but as the root dies off it keeps the plant producing new roots all the time, so i think its a very clever idea, and i think your plants are a great advertisement for them pots,

everything looks amazing mate,

Man, you always take the best outdoor photos. I'm so jealous of your ability to grow outside... I can't where I am. Sux...

Plants are lookin happy and doing very well, it seems. Hope all goes well for your meet-up with the distro's. See ya when you get back.

Thanks man! Much appreciated! :)

Its tough finding a good time of day to take outdoor grow photos cause the sun/shade can make it hard to see the whole pant sometimes. I figured that if I wanted till most where in the shade of the house I could get some more balanced images.

Sorry that you are unable to grow outside. Having both indoor and outdoor setups here, I have to say that I much prefer the results I get from a full cycle outside versus under CFL/H5s. The GDP in particular really digs real sunlight. I never see HUGE fan leaves like that indoors, only when they get put outside do they start making those big suckers! ;)

Thanks again for checking in as always and I appreciate the compliments on the photos very much! :thumb:

I was going to mention that the company that actually manufactures those Air Pots is located in the UK! Isn't that where you are? Do some digging on the web and try to find the actual company web site. If you are in the UK I am sure you will know where they are located. Maybe you can just go to the factory and buy some? Or at the very least, call them for local dealers! :)

thanks for that mate, ill have a look around then if their based in the UK, ive just not seen them in any of the garden centers, wonder if their online only, ill have a look around the net and see what i can find out, im hoping to get an outdoor grow going tomorrow now the hot weather is here, but its guerilla grow so could be wasting my time, but ill see what happens, ill look around for them pots then mate if their based over here

hey goose! Great photo update. :high-five: I just can't get over the fact that you have purple rhinos :)
That is just so cool. This is really going to be a great grow season for you I can just feel it.

Hey JBC and welcome to my journal! :)

We are at 81 pages and counting at this point as we move into our second season of documentation here on the 420 mag site. Lots of good conversations scattered throughout as well as a lot of photos of my various grows last year as well as the most recent ones this year.

A lot of folks start at the very beginning and move forward, but since I am just now starting our latest outdoor grows, you can also just monitor the most recent pages too. Totally your call! :thumb:

Thanks again for stopping by! Hope to see ya again!

Cheers. ;)

Hey MS!

Well.... I hope that they turn out to be worth the trouble! LOL! ;) The first sprout is starting to really take off now and it appears that it definitely inherited the male Rhino plant's tendency for vertical growth. We shall see if the thing turns into a vine or a bush. I much prefer the shorter bushier types over the tall gangly strains.

But... Those strikingly unusual looking purple flower buds that the female Rhino was putting out last year was amazing, so I can live with some tall plants, if they start making that kind of bud! Mixed with the late season purple color change of the Urkle should prove interesting as well.

Time will tell.... ;)

things look to be GREAT over here:) i like all your plants. I too am growing outside. Nothing better eh? I'm subbed. taking a seat. wanna see these babies in flower :Namaste:

Cool! :thumb:

Welcome to my journal! :)

You can get a sneak peek at what the GDP and Blue Cheese look like in flower if you head back to my entries from September and October of last year. Lots of good outdoor shots of both in flower as well as harvest sessions, weigh ins etc. I also grew several other strains last year that I am not growing this year such as the Blueberry Kush plant that won POTM last September.

Great strain and very impressive buds, but WAY TOO STRONG in the THC department for my taste. Have turned on a few licensed friends to that part of last year's harvest and it has proven to be a big hit with them. Those guys have a heck of a tolerance! That's all I can say! LOL!! :laughtwo::tokin::goof:

Check it out if you get a chance! ;)

I'm heading there now! If you got the time too, don't be afraid to stop by my journal and check out my little outdoor garden! happy growing :Namaste:

You've got some really nice looking plants growing back there on your property! Keep up the good work Dude!

Outdoor grows are a blast! :cheertwo::thumb:

Hey gang!

Just a quick post to let you know that my meeting with Alex from Medicinal Organic went great! We had a nice chat and he was very generous with a nice assortment of various seed packs including another pack of Harlequin GDB. Great guy! Knows his stuff and we hit it off immediately! :thumb:

He also gave me a half dozen clones of a few of their latest new strains which I will tell you more about in the next day or two.

Up here in the Sierra we are currently on storm watch! Temps have dropped down 20 degrees below normal for this time of year and there is a definite chance we could get below freezing tonight, along with possible thunder storms and SNOW! I had to fight all the Memorial day traffic heading up to Yosemite on the way home so it took me twice as long to get back here than normal!

Gotta get back out there to the back hill and deck and try to move the plants to more protected locations, cover some, move some into our small greenshouse etc. They are all too big to come indoors at this point, so keep your fingers crossed we don't get much colder than 32 tonight! They can handle down to 30, but not for any sustained period.

All this is supposed to blow out by tomorrow night and then we will see a gradual warming trend back to normal temps.

Stay tuned for another photo update oneverything I got from MO next time!

Cheers everyone and enjoy your Friday night and the Looong holday weekend! Drive safe and watch out for the crazies!!

:thanks:

Forgot to mention .... I moved all the seedlings into our bathroom grow area along with the clones I got from Alex and I snapped a few quick photos. The clones are in rockwool so I just sat them on the edges of all the seedling pots. Once this blasted cold front moves out, I will get them all transplanted into Air Pots and Cocoblend.

Hey Goose! Wow I just love it when a company stands behind its products. Way to go on the freebies! Got to love them.
Keep those ladies warm! I sure hope you don't have any freezing temps.
Hang in there!
:peace:

Wow! Don't you just love unexpected changes? Good Luck getting them all safe and warm. Got to hear about the new ones!

Wishing you a warm weekend my friend. :goodluck:

Hey OMM!

Yeah! I wasn't expecting any clones, so now I have to figure out where I am going to put these out back! I've got enough pots for everything but not enough Cocoblend to fill all those 3.5 gal Air Pots pots in one go. These clones are all large enough that they definitely need to get into pots ASAP, so I am going to head back into town later today and pick up another four bags of Black Gold.

I'm thinking of starting the second batch of 6 Harlequin in the tub instead of outside so I can control the temp of the soil easier. Hopefully that will result in 100% germination of the second six. As for the clones from MO, I will have to go up on their site and check into what each of these strains looks like from a genetic perspective. Right now I have no idea what I've got here.

One of the nicest looking clones of the bunch is the one called INFERNO. It looks a lot like my original MO Blue Cheese plant looked at that stage of growth. Very similar leaf structure, spacing, size etc.

Anyway.... The unseasonably cold weather is still hanging around today, so I won't be doing anything with any of my plants until Sunday or Monday when the predicted warming trend moves in and we start getting back to normal late spring/early summer conditions.

Stay tuned! :)

Hey MS!

Definitely! They stepped up in spades! I have encouraged them to hook up with the operators of this site and check into becoming a sponsor of the 420 Mag site. Not sure if nurseries are allowed to become sponsors, but Alex was definitely interested in the idea and told me that he would be contacting the editor up here to get all the details on what is involved.

I would say that if 420 allows seed companies to participate on here as sponsors, we will very likely see Medicinal Organic Nursery joining the party soon! :thumb:

I will keep you posted on the clones and stuff by the middle of next week once the weather returns to normal.

Stay tuned! :)
