GG7's Indoor/Outdoor Grows!

I used bleach for the current grow room Im using. so far so good!

Hey Goose, sorry to hear about your infestation. Man that just sucks! but it is really nice to see all your ladies outside. :thumb:
I hope you thouroughly purge those life sucking critters out of your garden! :thumb:

:peace:

Thanks for the tips and advice guys! :thumb:

I am hoping that the cold kills them off without me having to spray, but it is good to know that MS used Neem on his crop before with no ill effects to the crop!

Fortunately, only the mothers are infected right now with the BC bearing the worst of it. Seems that the GDP is more mite resistant?

Anyway, the clones are all pest free and I will take the advice and use bleach on the tub and other surfaces in that room to make sure that there are no lingering eggs and whatnot on surfaces.

Still a mystery where they came from since I hadn't had any mite problem all winter with basically the same exact conditions. Seems like they just materialized from another dimension! LOL!

It got down to 28 last night, so good thing I brought all the mothers inside. It is 35.6 right now, so I am going to take them back out after I post this. With the sun coming up now, it will not stay in the 30s for much longer, but maybe long enough to help kill off the remaining mites and their eggs.

MAN I HATE THOSE BUGS!! ;)

It got down to 25.1 F here last night, so damned good thing I brought the mother plants inside last night. Any time we hit 33 degrees before 11PM, I know we are going to see an overnight low that is much too cold for the plants to handle. Last night we were already down to 28 degrees by 11PM!

We are supposed to see a major warm up starting tomorrow, so hopefully tonight will be the last night I need to move the plants indoors for at least several days. As soon as we hit the mid 30s, I will move them back outside so that the mites will have to deal with the near freezing temps!

Correction... I made a mistake when I referred to MS as being the grower who used Neem oil on flowering plants with no ill effects. That was actually Old Med Man! Sorry about that old man! :)

Hey Goose! Just driving by to say ;) Hi.
I sure hope you are or have gotten rid of those mites my friend.
Ladies are looking good :thumb:

Hey MS!

Thanks for checking in!

Things are progressing on schedule. The clones are growing rapidly and I will soon be transplanting several of them into their final Air Pots. Main issue right now is where to put them since those pots take up a lot of room.

The outdoor flowering mothers got a little sunburn the last few days due to the high UV we have been getting here at the house. I moved them under the covered portion of our patio. Hopefully, they didn't get too stressed from that.

I should have another photo update this weekend.

Stay tuned and thanks again for checking in! :Namaste:

No worries Goose, just checking in and seeing how you are doing! :thumb:
I can't wait for the update, they are always stellar!

So you forgot their sunscreen, ohh no! LOL I hope they are just fine.

:peace: brotha!

Hi there, GG7!! I can't believe I've been pointing new people to your journal post about Powdery Mildew GG7's Indoor/Outdoor Grows! (and the remedies you use that are safe for consumption and safe in flower), and didn't even realize you were posting again! I'm a little slow sometimes, I stay pretty medicated.

Anyway, I'm subbed now, and will be getting your updates again. Thank you for such an excellent journal thread.

Thanks for lettting other folks know about my journal! :thumb:

We are still not quite into the full blown grow season yet, thus my somewhat sparse update schedule, but I am planning on posting some new photos this weekend.

We have been getting some storms through here with rain and snow, so not much we can do with moving anything outside just yet.

Stay tuned! :)

Clone Update!
Getting very close to transplant time!

I have been holding off transplanting all these clones into their final Air Pots until the weather warms up enough outside. Long range weather forecasts look like it might be getting close!

The plants are all doing great, and so far, no sign of any root binding, although I fully expect GDP #2 to start showing signs any day now.

GDP #1 is getting pretty big in her 5 gallon Air Pot. I decided to unhook all the cloner linkage from this light fixture so I could lower it down closer to the top of the plant.

The mother plants are just doing so-so out back. I think the extended veg time didn't help with their flowering ability. Mainly looking to get some seeds out of those so no biggie. Getting the cuttings off them was the whole purpose for overwintering them, and as you can see from the above photos, that was a resounding success! :cheertwo:

I'll be back with another update when we start transplanting and moving these outdoors to begin the official grow. Within the next 7-10 days I figure, and possibly sooner depending on the weather.

:Namaste::thanks:

Clone Transplants!
Four More Get Into Final Air Pots! - Mothers Moved to Back Hill to Finish

Decided to transplant a few more clones into their final Air Pots this morning. I snapped a few quick photos of some of the process.

Using Black Gold Waterhold Cocoblend - GDP #4 and BC #2 going into 5 gallon Air Pots.

GDP #2 and little BC #5 going into 3.5 gallon Air Pots

Transplants completed and these four moved into bathroom grow area for now. Until we can move these outside, I am limited in the size of pots I can use since these four just barely fit into the tub grow station, as you can see here...

Mother Plants Moved to Back Hill to Finish Flowering

P1012779.JPG
P1012780.JPG

These will be hitting week 8 on Thursday, so I decided that they could be moved to the back hill to finish. Not terribly impressive buds, but as I said in a previous update... I think they just vegged way longer than they would naturally do, so I think this had an impact on their ultimate quality. As long as I get some seeds from these I will be happy! The GDP is turning purple now, so it won't be much longer before chop time! :)

So... There ya have the latest! We are keeping a close eye on the long-range forecasts and once we can determine that the threat of frost has passed for this year, we will move everything outside and finish transplanting the remaining plants to their Air Pots! :cheertwo:

Stay tuned for our next update soon! :Namaste::thankyou:

Very nice indeed Goose! :thumb: I think the mommas just wanted to be outside is all. Looking good buddy!

:peace:

Thanks guys!

Yeah...We LOVE our yard! Like sitting out in the forest, especially on a gorgeous day like today! Temp is 65 F, light breeze, blue sky and puffy white clouds! Doesn't get any better than that! :circle-of-love:

Glad you enjoyed the update. Should have another one soon regarding the mother plant chop.

Stay tuned! :Namaste::thanks:

Hehe, better'n the week of rain we just endured... But we needed it because the reservoirs were so frikkin low.

We are down over 50% from last year for rain/snow, so I hear ya! Fortunately, we have had a very active March and April in terms of storms, so we have made up close to 10 inches in the last 4 weeks! We are at 21.53 inches to date in 2012. Normal year to this date.... 55.40 inches!

Oh! I wanted to mention that I haven't been smoking any of my bounty for the last few months, and today I took some 2011 GDP out after it had been curing for 18 weeks!

All I can say is.... WOW!!!:bravo:

Not to toot my own horn or anything... It isn't that at all! Its this freakin strain! Its incredible! :thumb:

The most floral bouquet/flavor and such a smooth and narcotic buzz! Its just bliss in a bong load! ;) I need to go over and write up a strain review!...But not just now...This couch lock is classic! LOL! ;)

looks good! Goose! My spring mother plant outside is doing ok! I found a spidermite infestation on one of her buds. Any tips on fighting them this late in flower? I just sprayed it down with tap water and pulled the webs off with my fingers so far.
It has been extra dry here so it has not helped things. :thumb:
