GDB's Auto Array

After she settles in I'm going to LST her using the "rock it" science I saw on MrSauga's thread.
Sweet. Try and spend a few minutes at Shed's official tutorial. That's where I'm posting and learning.

Will do! :nomo:

Hello growers.

The autos are plugging along. I managed to stop the leaves from yellowing. It turned out to be a very basic problem, too much heat and too much light.

We've been in the middle of a heat wave, having gone nearly 30 days straight with temps in the mid 90s. Sometimes when I would open the tent in the late afternoon temps in there were at or near 90F. I messed up for quite a while because this is my first time using this big light that I have in a summer grow. The light is a combination of blurples and COBs. I had it hanging too low. And running it at full strength was generating a lot of heat.

To remedy this situation I toned down the lights to run the COBs only and raised them up from 16 inches to about 26 inches above the plants. I moved one of my small air circulation fans up and positioned it so that it was blowing on top of the light. I stopped opening the curtains in the room in an effort to keep it from getting so hot from sunshine. And, hardest of all, I get up every morning at 6am when the tent lights come on and I open the side window of the tent. There is a window air conditioner right next to that tent window and I aim it's output into the tent. In the afternoons, the hottest part of the day, I need to open up the front of the tent as well.

With these measures I've managed to get the temps to hang around 80 or slightly below. The leaves have stop yellowing and new growth is a nice green.

I was a little slow on this one. For a while I fumbled around addressing what I thought was a CalMag deficiency when the real issue was obvious and making me sweat.

Live and learn. :Rasta:

Hope everyone is safe and sound!

Later.

Hey GDP, the autos are looking gorgeous! Can't believe I hadn't been to your thread yet o_O. The Brooklyn Sunrise is an absolutely beauty.
Glad you made it here, JCT! Thanks for stopping by. :Rasta:

Hello growers.

Just a very quick update.

At day 90 the Brooklyn Sunrise is getting close. She's covered in cloudy trichs. I am checking them daily because in my experience the ambers tend to appear overnight (as in not there one day, there the next). :Rasta:

I am guessing she will ready within a week.

With all those white pistils still coming out, she should be considerably fatter a week from now!
Beautiful plant, GDB!

I hope so Carcass. And they should really be fat by the time they're done. Because I think they'll be done in a week and I never get it right. Probably be another 3 weeks, at least. :laughtwo:

She’s dripping in that photo! Did you spray it with anything before taking it?? My finger stuck to the screen. Lol....
I put some pixie dust on her before the photo. Every time I tried to fool you guys someone calls me out!

Hello growers.

Yet another quick update.

I managed a feeble attempt at LST on my Lemon AK with only a minor mishap (you can see the tape). At day 29 she's flowering, so she's gonna be a tiny thing. I won't mess with her anymore. Just going to let her grow like she is.

Buds on the Black Cream (day 57) are getting frosty and the leaves (the ones that aren't permanently yellowed) are turning a dark purple.

The Smoothie (day 57) is taking her time but seems to be setting up nicely for a good finish. She's leggy and so are her flowers!

The Brooklyn Sunrise (day 93) seems to be still putting on weight. Go fatty!

That's all I've got.

Have a safe weekend everyone. :Rasta:

I have 4 autos going right now. What's the best LST methods I should use. Top, No Topping. pull her sideways ? Your the one I know has grown lots of autos so any tips would be appreciated

Beautiful work GDB! I didn’t get much color on my black cream till the end of flower. I hope you get those frosty foxtails on the tops like I did. The smoke is awesome and long lasting without being devastating. I hope you are having a blessed day! aloha!

I like to top them between the nodes 4 and 5. From there I just let them grow and bend the best stems outward at like a 90 degree angle. I try to get rid of everything else, but a lot of times I leave on too much.

That being said, I also tend to let the way the plant goes determine how I will train it. A lot of times they will show you what to do.

The real auto pro trains all of his plants to grow the same fat buds in the same shape. So you may want to direct your question to @Sunnyskies. He's killing the autos! :Rasta:
