GDB's Auto Array

Hello growers.

I'm having a tough getting anything started for my next auto grow. Thus far I've dropped 2 Northern Lights seeds. Both pushed out tap roots and both were buried in Promix. Neither of them ever showed up again. I've got a dozen NL seeds and they were all freebies. I'm beginning to wonder if there's a relationship between "free" and "no good."

I popped a Californian Snow. It rose from the dirt looking beat up and with a purple stem. It is not developing and doesn't seem inclined to.

So I dropped three more seeds into water last night. An Onyx, a Glue Gelato and a Blueberry. Guess that's all I can do!

Been there,GDB... I can grow 'em alright, but I always seem to have a tough time coaxing them out of the ground- recently I went back to the paper towel method, which seemed to help- but then I didn't bury 2 of em deep enough and they both came up root first.
I managed to get both of them turned around without killing them,(a minor miracle!) but I'd really like to skip that part on my future sprouts...

I hope your next three do what's expected of them, with little or no drama....:goodluck:

Hello growers.

Thanks to @Heavenly Hybrid, who was offering advice on a photo seed I'm having problems with, I took a closer look at the Californian Snow. I put a few drops of water on it and slid a toothpick through its cotyledons. Something came off of it and the plant opened up! Now to see if it starts to grow. Fingers crossed. :Rasta:

Thanks, Carcass. These seedling issues seem to occur randomly and I'm never quite sure why things go south. :Rasta:

Hello growers. Quick update time again.

I dropped three new auto seeds the other day. The Blueberry and Onyx both popped nice tap roots and were buried in Promix this morning. The Glue Gelato remains on a paper towel. That gives me three potentials, along with the Californian Snow that's already emerged from the dirt.

Since it appears that I'll be growing a single photo plant in my small tent, I plan to load up my 4x4 with as many autos as I can. I figure I can get at least 8 in there using 1and 2 gallon pots. So soon I'll be dropping a few more auto seeds, one of which will be a Dark Devil.

My plants seem to mostly turn out butt ugly at the end. This time around I've got some ugly ones again but with sticky, smelly buds. I ain't complaining. :Rasta:

I've got three that are very close to done.

Smoothie (day 80)

She looks like crap but her buds are attractive. They are quite sticky and smell like jet fuel. She's getting 6g of Mega Crop and 1g of Bud Explosion and drinking about 3 liters every 3 days in her 2 gallon pot.

Black Cream (day 80)

She's getting the same feed as the Smoothie and is also in a 2 gallon pot. Her buds are beautifully colored and frosty as hell.

Brooklyn Sunrise (day 117)

The slow poke is still drinking. She's in a 5 gallon pot and drinks about a gallon of water every three days. She's getting the same dosage as the other 2 plants (6g MC and 1g BE). I smoked a test bud of her the other day after drying it for 3 days. It was awesome! Nice taste and a clean high with no cure! I'm pumped about this one.

So those three are close to done (of course I've been saying that about the BS for about 3 weeks).

The Lemon AK is on day 53. She's in a 3 gallon pot and is getting 4.5g of MC. She only drinks about 3 liters every 4 days.

I haven't starting counting days on the baby Californian Snow yet because she had yet to develop a second set of fan leaves. Hopefully her countdown can begin soon.

That's all I've got for now. Wishing everyone the best! :Rasta:

Thanks, MrS. Yeah, if 420 would start an UPOTM contest, I'd be set! :Rasta:

LMAO! She isn't that ugly. Oh, wait, maybe she is!

Hello growers.

The Brooklyn Sunshine came down today, 118 days after she was planted. That's the longest growing auto I've ever had. She never did get a bunch of amber, except on the leaves. But a test bud I smoked a few days back convinced me to chop, chop. :Rasta:

She was mostly fat and heavy, producing 728g, of which 673g is smoking bud and 55g is stuff to play with in the kitchen.

Here's pics of her last day.

I will miss her, but only until she's dried and cured! :Rasta:

Dam GDB that is one hell of a good harvest from an auto. If I ever grow an auto again I am going to try The Brooklyn Sunshine. I have heard its a good yielder and from the looks of yours they can become a Very Nice plant. Congrats on the harvest ! :high-five:

Thanks, PC. It has the added bonus of being super easy to trim! :Rasta:

Hello grow group. Quick update time.

I took down the Smoothie today, 84 days from day one. She stunk up the whole first floor and I was trimming her on the back porch! She produced 356g of smoking bud along with about 20g of kitchen stuff.

I forgot to take a pic of her before take down. Oops.

It was a bear to trim her. Lots of leaves and she was a sticky mess!

Next on the chopping block, the Black Cream. She's gonna be a breeze to trim! :Rasta:

Later!

Hello grow group and Happy Sunday!

I'm out of trim jail! After taking down a plant on Thursday and another on Friday, I took a break yesterday. This morning I chop chopped the Black Cream. She was quite easy to trim and the lowest producer of the 3 plants. She (along with the Smoothie) experienced heat and light stress early in life that caused her to stretch up. None of her buds ever really stacked but grew as individuals. At the end I was calling her my Covid plant because the buds grew as if they were socially distancing.

She ended up a pretty kinda' purple with really frosty sugar leafs. Because they were so frosty, I gave her a very light trim, leaving much of them intact except for their tips. I hope they will fold back into the bud during the dry/cure process.

She yielded 269g of smoking bud and 18g of kitchen stuff.

These last three autos yielded 1325g wet smoking bud and should result in just shy of 12 ounces dry. I know I can do better, but these grows are part of the process that will get me there! :Rasta:

Like a lot of folks recently freed from jail, I'm now looking to break the law! I'll start by going on my front porch with no mask on, which is illegal where I live. :laughtwo:

Sweet harvests, GDB!- 12oz should keep you stoned for a little while...:goodjob:

That is funny!
