LOLOL! I almost peed my pants! Almost.I'm almost tempted to take Ms. Sauga's advice and buy a Barry Manilow CD.

I sure don't Duthchin. Those Manilow CDs are always in high demand and can be difficult to get. That’s too funny.
You mean you don’t have one already?
LOLOL!But my seeds have been failing like Trump casinos.
It's possible, but I hear people say they can be stored for years without any issues. Scarification as Dab mentioned above may help. I've also seen good strong tap roots produce lousy plants so imo there's no difference. Some seeds are just not viable. @carcass hit a run of bad seeds and we all tried to blame him, but I won't do that here.I wonder if my recent problems are due, at least in part, to using old seeds. I've had some of my seeds for nearly 2 years and who knows how long the seedbanks had them before I got them.
Mr.S, thanks for your underwelming vote of confidence!LOLOL!

I deserve full blame for that little run of bad luck!-Turned out that my seedwarmer (stove) was getting the seeds too hot- which kills them pretty fast (104f)- now I just sit them on the router, which keeps them at 78-80f- I've had 100% success since I started doing it that way.@carcass hit a run of bad seeds and we all tried to blame him, but I won't do that here.
I knew you knew there was a logical reason!Turned out that my seedwarmer (stove) was getting the seeds too hot- which kills them pretty fast (104f)- now I just sit them on the router, which keeps them at 78-80f- I've had 100% success since I started doing it that way.
That's what I need to do. Find that sweet spot. Mrs. Grand Daddy has been saying the same thing for many years.Hi G. "House of the rising None"? Good one man! But sorry about the non poppers. After a soak, I put mine in their little paper towel foil packs in a ziploc between my cable box and DVD player...haha I found out through trial and error that this was my sweet spot. Looking good besides that my friend. Stay stoned and stay stoneder
I did the same when I started using a heating mat. I cooked several seeds before I figured it out. I had to put a towel (doubled) on the mat to get it to work. I'm still doing that now, but I'm not having as much success.I deserve full blame for that little run of bad luck!-Turned out that my seedwarmer (stove) was getting the seeds too hot- which kills them pretty fast (104f)- now I just sit them on the router, which keeps them at 78-80f- I've had 100% success since I started doing it that way.
The LRx seeds that @13goody13 just grew were from 2017, so they still worked after 3 years in my seed storage area (my sock drawer)
During the winter, my stove/seedwarmer doesn't get quite hot enough to kill the seeds, but in the summer, it definitely does! I think that's why I didn't kill everything back in January.I cooked several seeds before I figured it out.
It must be good- it probably cost about ten bucksBTW, those cooked seeds make an excellent thimble full of soup.
Glad that run of bad luck is finally over for you- been there...in fact it got to where I was actually surprised if they didn't die...I think I went through 16 seeds to get to 7 (or 8) plants!
