Gardenfaerie Outdoor Organic Summer 2014 Flux and LST in Ground

Bed yes, breakfast no. We don't charge, it's our way of meeting new people from all over.

I know you don't charge. I was talking about a way to have some retirement income without having to do too much. Though, I read the other day that people my age, a HUGE percentage have not saved for retirement! OMG, how can people not save something. Five dollars a week is better than nothing. I worry about people my age and what will happen to the bra burning generation.

I doubt a bed and breakfast is very relaxing!

If they were mine I'd be feeding with a nice solution of 0-8-1 bat guano by Earth Juice.

Gotta get those buds big and dense :)

Coming right along :volcano-smiley:

This really makes me happy to read. I'll get some P-K today.

Those are some nice short plants, turning out alot better then i thought a few months back :)

I agree with RL, lots of P and some K, plenty green so no N needed.

Consider it done.

She has bat guano falling out of the sky :)

I will have to find a video of the bats. I have one somewhere around here. If not, I'll find a video on youtube and reference it on the OT 420-non-garden journal. It's really quite fabulous and magical. Mexican freetail brown bats.

Beautiful flowers, HAHA look forward to seeing more tomorrow:cheertwo: :cheertwo:

I went out with the camera for the sunset/dusk and also to watch the bats and get peed on by them as they pass by the tens of thousands (literally) I decided to take photos of the cannabis using the flash. I thought maybe we'd better see the packed up nodes. There are 4 plants, but one is very small and not very anything.

You can see my little bench thing. Without that, I can't tend anything in the yard. I'll do more photos tomorrow.

And I know I'm worrying for nothing, but what else is new.

This is what passes over my house several miles down the path the bats are flying. I see this every night in my evening sky. They believe there are about a million bats under this bridge. I was not kidding about mountains of guano under there...if you can stand the stink for more than one minute. I could not.

I hope I am not going to get in trouble with posting this:

I moved the video to my non-420 Garden journal...sorry about that.

Just as impressive as you clocked. Rivers of bats.
One of those things they do big in Texas and the southwest.

They are fairly certain that the two largest urban bat colonies are located in TX. Both near my house! So yes, there are millions of bats in the night sky. You go downtown for a concert and when you come out, they are in the air eating moths and other big insects. They don't eat as many mosquitoes as I'd like, but they do eat millions of tons of moths every year.

These two overpass bridges have an odd channel in the concrete underneath and it closely mirrors what a bat loves to nest in. Very tight together, very small spaces, very hot (100 degrees or more) and they sure do love these bridges. They are building more of these around the country to encourage bat colonies. I love it.

I am posting a video which is terrible and out of focus on the closeup, but I'll post it anyway. I'm on my way back out to see if the light is any better than it was earlier. Again, day three no sunshine but 100 degrees.

Now that I am looking at the photos, the trichomes are more viewable to my eye. I do not see this when I look at the plants. The camera is not great, but it sees better than me! LOL

Some of the trichomes are amber already, but if I leave the plants they will produce more as time passes?

The winter indoor growing is going to be my learning curve. I really hated the outdoor growing, but there is nothing like it. I'm so spoiled. I wish I never grew anything outside. It would be easier to view my closet as a "garden!"

Sativas stay ripe for a long time, they continually pump out fresh/clear trichomes to replenish the ambers that have degraded. It's one of the reasons judging a sativa harvest based off soley the trichomes can be real tricky. You might see a lot of clear AND ambers at the same time.

Anyway, YES, your plants have a lot of growth to take place, again, you would be surprised!

It sucks to hear you that you "hated outdoor growing" Next year you will have so much big plants outside it will make you nervous and scared!

I wish you luck on your indoor crop. :)

And because I know your gonna say "well they're indica dominant"

Indica dominant strains can express themselves to be more like a sativa, it depends on the environment. High humidity and temperature can really shape a phenotype. You wouldn't really know the difference until you cured and puffed it, but it's safe to say some of the physical attributes about being indica have stayed true ( short, compact, and bushy though you fluxed , if you did not flux I am betting the temperature would have made real stretchy plants trying to reach for the Sun).

Ok I'm a bit baked and in a gardenfaeri rant mood so forgive me :) Gonna make some coffee.

My 1st harvest, I pulled many weeks early cause of the amber. Lesson learned.
I'm sure you know this, but you might end up taking the uppers 1st while letting the lower buds develop more.
Plants are beautiful GF. Reps!

Oh I would not want the wrath of Lester for pulling them early!!!! Nobody wants that! :)

I have to go check Vimeo for my video...which I watched and is terrible and out of focus, but some of it is okay. And hey, it's a video. Sumpin tuh do. Coming up!

Okay garden, now that we are all sitting around the table.

I am awaiting a garden update on your outdoor plants. I would like to assess them.

Try to take some nice and focused pictures of the buds so we can see the floral development :) :thanks:

Although I wasn't able to make the sit down I vote this for Pic of the Week...

Do I win anything? :)

Now, in going through my medicine cabinet, which has every drug concoction on earth because they try a million things that don't work or I'm allergic to and now I have loads of crap to use up or get rid of.

So, glory be, I find a few bottles of Potassium. However, can anybody figure out the dosage for one gallon of water based on the terms listed here:

POTASSIUM CHLORIDE solution
10% Oral Solution Sugar Free

Each 15 mL (tablespoonful) contains potassium chloride 1.5 g (supplying 20 mEq of potassium and chloride)

Then I'll have to find some phosphorous to supplement the buds. When I looked this afternoon, about the 339th time today, I definitely am starting to see bulking and frosting. When I looked in the morning sun and saw all that glowing, sparkling goo I was a happy camper.

Watching the Cyclist Tour of Colorado every evening on DVR is so beautiful. Wow that is a beautiful state which actually resembles the Pyrenees mountain range in Europe. But the cold, the snow, the cost to heat shit.

It's medical grade, prescription potassium so do you think the chloride is in there as a preservative? No refrigerator necessary. Eh, never mind. I will just throw it out. Actually, I'll pour it on the compost pile and it will cook off anything.

The academy...
I've always thought we should have a Marijuana Growers' Academy here, a mini version of an Academy. One thread with one grow answering from start to finish all questions by students.....and that's as far as I ever got with that thought. LOL

I agree with Reg on the pic choice too
