Gardenfaerie Outdoor Organic Summer 2014 Flux and LST in Ground

The reality is (as you know) each specimen cannot be 100% perfect all the time, you will always see some kind of weird morphology or blemish as a result of the environment.

In addition, you are growing a species of plant who has evolved and adapted to grow outside in nature, when you bring a plant that has the DNA that is the product of millions of years of evolution outside and bring it inside to grow under artificial-man made lights, some weird things are bound to happen.

Polyploidy expressions, morphisms, reverting back to being monoecious and self-pollinating.... it's just a fact that trying to replicate mother nature's great outdoors environment inside is just "best guess work".

Nothing compares to the Sun and fresh air :adore:

Hahahahahahahha, after I finished laughing myself to death, yes. All this for two twisted leaves.

Hey. What?

At least I now know it could not possibly be a pH fluctuation. If it is, I am not seeing it and maybe I need a clinical pathologist to come in and see. LOL. Kidding of course.

I'm so annoyed with my outies that my innies MUST BE PERFECT OR ELSE!

:) :volcano-smiley: :circle-of-love:

With regards to height above, with the 3w diode reflectors 12-24 " should be good. I always keep both switches on.

With regards.to pH stop obsessing over one or two curled up leafs, your plants are healthy and growing. Don't break something that is working by getting too complicated. If you where having systemic issues I would worry, but u r not. And yes I know doing nothing is sometimes the hardest thing to do.

So, I watered them with their little beautiful liquid seaweed as scheduled. It seems only the edges of the containers are getting dry, so to encourage roots to develop out to the pot edge, I only watered the edges.

Ahhh....rubbing temples, calm the fok down whitey (said to myself). I call my husband, Whitey. Yes, cus he's white. Very, very Germany white and grew up in Whitebreadville and Cheesecurd, Wisconsin. Side note: we are NOT RACISTS. That said, when I met Mark I lived in NY he in TX. When I told him my best friend in life is a gay man, actually two gay men (but not in a relationship together) Mark said, "Oh, I met one in college once." WHAT? He met ONE in college once? A gay guy? But here is the kicker; he never met a black man or woman until college and even then, he said there were three AA's in his class. Uh...wow! Half my boyfriends were black guys in my youth. Just the way it is when you grow up in the hoods I grew up in. Shit, NY is just ahead in this area. Always was. My own mom's husband was an African American man.

Anyway, geez smoke a little pot and tangents galore! WTF am I talking about! :)

So the plants...yes, they are fine I hope I hope I hope. Shut up Regiole. Notice I have many names for you mista man with your fire escape.

Okay garden, now that we are all sitting around the table.

I am awaiting a garden update on your outdoor plants. I would like to assess them.

Try to take some nice and focused pictures of the buds so we can see the floral development :) :thanks:

I think that is why I lost most of my outdoor plants this spring I over thought it all and tried this and that and ended up killing all but 2 of them. With the cabinet I'm trying to sit back and not be such a complete control freak. And, take a big breath.
I tell my wife I'm not sighing it's a cleansing breath.

Okay, I will do that in a little while. It is pretty cloudy out so the flash is going to want to go off at almost 6pm.

If not tonight, first in the morning. The light will be the best then. I wish I could get some photos of the inner buds where all the stacked white stamens are bursting at the seams. I'm just not smelling anything out there and last year the whole yard stank from my little plants. We do still have another 6 weeks to go.

All is well. Remain calm. That twisting was nothing. Your outdoor plants look great. I think you and Mark need to go away for three or four days. The plants are on auto pilot.

In other words, Chill out, Betty!

Sure, a vacation is in order, Come to Vancouver Island and chill out West Coast style, The Cottage is Vacant

DO NOT TEASE ME! My dream place to live in Vancouver Island. Or anywhere like that in the PNW.

I went out with the camera for the sunset/dusk and also to watch the bats and get peed on by them as they pass by the tens of thousands (literally) I decided to take photos of the cannabis using the flash. I thought maybe we'd better see the packed up nodes. There are 4 plants, but one is very small and not very anything.

You can see my little bench thing. Without that, I can't tend anything in the yard. I'll do more photos tomorrow.

And I know I'm worrying for nothing, but what else is new.

That was why we built the cottage, family comes from England friends from France and new friends, what better way to visit.
NO TEASING AT ALL.
When we went to Italy we hosted a party at the bed and breakfast we stayed at so we could get to know locals now we invite them to stay at our cottage

We've been discussing maybe a bed and breakfast for retirement...but isn't that work?

I'd have to hire people to run it! hahaha.

Well, when we're ready to travel I will certainly give a ping.
Most generous offer!

Bed yes, breakfast no. We don't charge, it's our way of meeting new people from all over.

Hahaha, I have bat guano bridge about two miles down the road! PU. I do have one bucket of the stuff. I wish I would have thrown that on the compost, but I just realized it is still in the 5 gallon pool tab bucket. I am sure I have some P-K around here in some form, though, seaweed has about everything. Maybe I'll brew some tea or go buy a gallon of aerobic compost tea. They make and sell it for about 5 a gallon and it covers 5,000 square feet.

If I make tea with the bat guano, and it is not composted first, do you think there is any danger of parasites or too hot to then use in soil?

I have company coming through on their way up to Dallas later. My whole day is lost when that happens. How dare them come visit me!!!
