Lookin perty last night... packing on the weight.

I’m curious to see (this morning) how they responded to the little bump in their feed.

Just thought it looked cool. I’ll get some natural pics later.

Hit them with 5g/gal MC, 1g/gal BE, 1g/gal SC... no Suma.
I feel like I need to bump their watering up to every day. Things are thirsty and hell.
I thought about alternating SumG then feeding.
5 plants 5 gallons every other day... I think they could handle 2.5gal each day easy. Im thinking hit them half capacity with feed in the morning one day, then SG the next night.
This quarantine makes me want a farm. Lol!

Have you been feeding them every watering?

Have you been feeding them every watering?
Yes. Every other day.
The tops of all of them are already dry this morning so I’m contemplating just hitting them with the SumaGrow today/night, since I just fed yesterday morning.

I know there’s controversy over flushing, and not meant for “clearing out the nutes” as it relates to taste, but @Emilya I recall you saying that you do at some point in flower to help boost the swell... or something like that.
Has that process changed, if not, when do you do that?

The flush is primarily to clean out the built up salts in the soil when using EDTA chelated nutes. When using these systems it is important to flush several times during the grow to keep water uptake strong, but it is especially important to do so at the beginning of week 6, in the final stage of bloom. This clears the salts so that the roots will have full uptake of not just water, but also nutes, during that very important last 2 weeks.
I don't flush organic grows and it is not recommended to flush a MC grow since there are no EDTA salts to build up and since there is no buildup in the soil of most of the elements in the total package. All that happens when you give plain water (or try to flush) an MC grow is that you starve your plant for that watering cycle and flushing an organic grow simply washes available nutrients down the drain.

I really hate asking... lol!
I was Searching threads trying to find anything definitive when involving MC, BE, and/or SC together, and saw some of the recent back and forth. I never flushed with my organics either.
I hit them with 5g MC, 1g BE, and 1g SC per gallon yesterday morning. They all seem to respond well besides the Glue Cookies. She got some tip burn on some of the lowers, but I’m not concerned though.

Packin on...
I’d label the damn pictures, but it keeps jumping around and deleting shit. I’m over it.

Okay, so we are 36hrs soaking and I can already see the Lavender coming alive.

My question is, after reading @Emilya your new journal, I see that you make your seeds sink for 12hr, then bag/napkin them?

Does sinking them not drown them? Or is it because it’s for a short amount of time only, that it doesn’t harm them?

This is the process provided by @New420Guy Seeds

That is way too much h202 to soak seeds in. I've been using h202 for a couple years now after learning it from Big Sur. I think he recommends 1/4 cup to a gallon. I fill up a 8 oz cup with RO water and then squirt like a teaspoon of peroxide. 12 hour soak is plenty. Once I used a lot more peroxide and I got the same results as you. The seed opens up in the water, drops out the plant and the cotyledons spread open with just a tiny root.

Yeah... I’ll never do that method again. I usually do the shot glass for 24-48, then the paper towel.
Ill probably just soak for 24, and put them in a jiffy pod for now on. I think you risk hurting the seedling in the transfer from paper to soil.

Got my new replacement filter in today.

Finally got the temps stabilized. Vivosun says two years, but I didn’t even get a full year, so I went with a different brand this go. Well see.

They took about 3 gallons last night. I only mixed SumaG in this time since I fed heavy the day before. I’ll shoot some pics in the morning. They look awesome.

Are orange pistils at 4 weeks from flip anything to worry about?
Are those the ones you sprayed with the Agro? Oil will brown your pistils.

Got my new replacement filter in today.
Fancy!

Just for the record, GreenLeafNutrients (the manufacturer and developer of the products) recommends clearing out the substrate.

I asked them: I'm hoping you can tell me if it would be helpful, when using MegaCrop, to occasionally flush the soil with plain water to clear out unused ions and old salts?

They said: Hi, yes you should water to runoff a few times per growing cycle, for flush every few months with water.

I asked them: Can you give me a definitive answer as to whether MegaCrop leaves ions and salts behind as every other synthetic nutrient does?

They said: Every fertilizer will do that.

When you are done with the clear-out, you immediately follow with your regular feeding, so that the plants are never left hungry.

Yeah I gave them one last heavy spray down with Agro.
I saw your before/after spray pistol pics and figured that’s what it was. It was just odd that it was only a couple of plants, not all of them.

So... with this:
Hi, yes you should water to runoff a few times per growing cycle, for flush every few months with water.

I water to runoff every time. Odd...
Most of mine call for 8-10 week flower, so hit them with a flush at 6 weeks (technically 8 after flip) maybe?

Looking good... I fed 5g MC, .75g BE, .75g SC, and no Suma. Those seem to be the magical numbers at this point.

So I emailed GLN to discuss MC:BE:SC ratios, and a couple of other questions for clarity. Here are my questions/their responses.

Questions...

Products:
Mega Crop+Bud Explosion+Sweet Candy

I understand MC is an “all you need” product, but I also use BE and SC. I’m now in full bloom (cannabis), and was curious to know a good rule of thumb when combining the three.

I’ve been mixing at the rate of 5g/gal MC, .75g/gal BE, and .75g/gal SC (adjusting all up/down +-.5g) in soil, watering to runoff. I just don’t think I’ve got the right ratio.

First: {Ratios} Are these optimum ratios for full bloom, or should I use more/less of one vs. the other when using all three together?

Second: {Flushing} I typically run living organic “built” soil, and have never worried about flushing my soil. (3x capacity of the container with water)

What are your recommendations in regards to flushing when using all three? Is it a waste of time?

Third: {pH} My soil is between 6.3-6.5... I’ve been going in at 6.3 @73F (ish).
When using all three products, what should my input be?

{General} Do you have any others suggestions/opinions?

Responses...

1) This ratio is OK, usually a user should pick to use Sweet Candy for soil (as a PK booster and soil conditioner), or Bud Explosion for non-soil (pure PK booster). The ideal dosage will depend on your setup and how your plants react

2) Flushing is not needed

3) Recommended range is 5.5 - 6.5 pH, however you can go outside this range if you are not noticing any problems!
