TBE Indoor LED Black Indica Nov 18

That’s one heck of a light build Earl :thumb:

Id be putting it in the tent mid flower if I was you also, I swapped one week into flower from my purples to a hlg qb, gave a few days of weening the lights of purple and onto the hlg’s and started few inches higher then was recommended then lowered slowly and turned up to max power after a few days time and my plants showed no shock at all.

Well worth the effort thus far, and it ain't even in the tent yet.... :D

Did some tests this morning, at varying voltages.
With the lights running at the 700mA test specs the driver was supplying 38.6 volts.
From the wall that equates to 361 watts & 3.04amps. Highest temperature reading I got was 24 Celsius on the back of aluminum heatsink, lights were on 25 mins id say.

With the current dialed up max on the driver (volt dialed max too) the output was 975mA @ 39.4 volt.
That would equal the 515watts + 4.3amp from wall.

As my plant #2 is a tower compared to the other 4 I need to make some risers for the others before I put this setup in the tent! Probably just make some square risers from 2x4s.....off I go....

Heck ya!
I've ordered an inline DC meter so I can monitor the led strip usage, I have a fan blowing over top the frame, temps seem fine but keep an eye on any issues that could arise.

I did some looking thru the loupe tonight, seeing some Amber for sure. Also found a pair of nanners on one bud.
Could use some expert advice here! Wonder if the light change sparked some stress maybe?
In only day 45 into flower.

Carefully pluck the nanners, which could be caused by light stress (any stress could cause a plant to grow those). Once you're out of the grow area, see if there's any pollen in them. None is better than some :).

Amber on the sugar leaves is not a sign of ripeness, so make sure you check the trichomes on the calyxes when trying to figure when to harvest.

educational read friends,, don't understand much, but dig it all the same.

i will for sure be thinking these strips when i do my next light

i love that you have all the tools for testing the power ranges and draws etc,, and better yet,, y'all know what it all means,, good on yas.

also nice to see some numbers in canuck bucks as well. i will so be buying in canada next time, if possible, or perhaps alibaba,, who knows

cheers friends,,

could you have included the far red in the previous build?

i have been wondering about that,, the main deciding factor that i had when i bot my last kit, from rapid led

1731226

was that these lights include far red,, and seems most board users are wanting to add far red

so,, if one used the strips,, could one include some far red in the array?

Day 50 (starting first day of lights on in 12/12 after 36hr darkness)
Watered with just Ph'd h20 tonight. I find it difficult to tell where my trichomes are at with my loupe but I feel like at least another week, probably longer.
#2 colas are getting heavy and leaning hard! Being the tallest and the most dense of all plants.
Good problem to have.

New light def puts out much less heat than the other lights, which kind of sucks cuz now the space heater is on more (energy sucker).
The new grow shed is basically all but finished, few more hanging rods thru roof trusses, few more holesaw cuts and will be ready for Rd. 2.
