tent temp is 74 degrees and humidity 62%, just running the dehumidifier now, no need for ac, but i probably will need the ac when i run the lights up to 600 ppfd, from everything ive read i should have the lights up to 800 ppfd for floweringLooks like it's getting frosty over there
By frosty I was referring to the trichomes. finally figured out the problem with the leaves turning. YEA!!! i got fungus gnats, got them yellow sticky things yesterday and put them in my plants. getting rid of the problem as we speak. , got the cal-mag and treated my plants, see how that goes in the next few weeks, got my netting and im working on that today, so all in all i think im getting there. writing every thing down, for the next grow, so i dont make the same mistakes, but knowing me, im sure ill screw up something else. Yep at least 800ppfd in flower. I bring it up over a period of days after stretch finishes as sometimes they get close enough anyways. You'll probably have to wait for the calmag before pushing the lights & when you use it go straight to max recommended strength and add it to your water first mix well then leave it for a bit before adding nutrients
Mid to late flower bring that RH down too.
I am not sure of the relationship between the Fungus Gnats and yellow leaves based on your photos that I have seen. The adults are flying around for a several days to a week but I am not sure that they eat anything. At this adult stage they are laying eggs on the soil. The eggs hatch and when the larva hatch they do the most damage. They eat the small hair roots and most of the time time the amounts of damage are minimal if it is a healthy plant.finally figured out the problem with the leaves turning. article i read showed pictures of the leaves that had the little buggers, ( Fungus Gnats & Cannabis - How to Identify & Get Rid of It Quickly! ) if thats not the cause im back to square one, ive been cutting off about 20 leafs everyday that got the spots and starting to yellow. everything i check , is in the right range, now what?I am not sure of the relationship between the Fungus Gnats and yellow leaves based on your photos that I have seen. The majority of the time it is the annoying adults flying around that bothers growers. Get some Mosquito Bits and Dunks and that will get rid of them a lot faster than the yellow sticky trap cards. Look into it and see if it is the best shot you have considering the medium and water methods you are using.

The photos are pictures of what the leaves might look like if the roots are damaged by Gnats. No mention made that the Gnats are actually doing damage directly to the leaves. At least I did not notice any mention like that but I read through the article very fast.article i read showed pictures of the leaves that had the little buggers, ( Fungus Gnats & Cannabis - How to Identify & Get Rid of It Quickly! ) if thats not the cause im back to square one,
just took these,The photos are pictures of what the leaves might look like if the roots are damaged by Gnats. No mention made that the Gnats are actually doing damage directly to the leaves. At least I did not notice any mention like that but I read through the article very fast.
Personally, it looks like whoever wrote that article picked photos of every leaf problem they could find and blamed it on the Fungus Gnats and disregarded the research and and Fungus Gnat life cycle info provided by botanists and horticulturalists.
Can you take a photo of the next couple of leaves you find with the problem but take the photo while the leaves are still on the plant?
I wouldn't call it a mistake, I've just never known anyone to mix them...
Coco is Hydro so mixing soil with it takes away it's advantages.
soil, I would guess fox farm is already well airated as I see it's used by many and that's all Coco can do for soil.
Besides that info its done now your ladies will be fine having Coco and RO you definitely be needing Calmag.
When I grew with compost coir I didn't add any nutrients untill I started to see deficiencies so I used all the soil nutes before adding salt's then from this point I watered until 10% run off disposing the run off.
Always good to check pen calibration when soil seems off too
ok thanks, i started cal-mag 3 days ago, it says on the bottle to use only once a week. can i use it more often?Google calcium deficiency weed. I been telling you way before you started flower as I new you'd get the deficiency already.. once you start feeding calmag full strength mixed in with water first then add nutrients the damage should stop within a couple of feeds. Also no more plain water feeds nutrients and calmag every time. Stop pulling damaged leaves off too as your making her take from other leaves.
First thing that comes to mind is a deficiency and the first deficiency that could match is Calcium.just took these,
Use it at the dose and once a week if that is what is shown on the bottle.i started cal-mag 3 days ago, it says on the bottle to use only once a week. can i use it more often?
hi, i know you have been growing a long time and i really like the quick response you and the others have giving me, with that said, ive been taking your advice as what i know about growing would fit on a match head. LOL, I started using the vivisun product that i have taken pictures of (on sept 27th i started) , and also of the cal-mag that ive bought. ( which i used three days ago) you will notice that the vivosun product contains more of the stuff than the cal-mag does, i wasnt going to buy the cal-mag , even though you recommened it as i thought ( too much thinking on my part) that the vivosun product had enough of what my plants need. but i bought it anyway just so you didnt think i was being stubborn. im going to stop cutting off the leaves as you recommend, but 10 days into adding more of the calcium and the plant has gotten worse, i told my son i have no idea whats going on and i'm getting ready to just give up and let them all die , dont know what else to do.Yeah never give your plant water without it. Can you send a pic of the front and rear of your bottle? Most bottles I used Im 2ml/L in flower.
Wow wow wow I don't want to hear any of that! You've done a great job this far and plants still have a ton of time to produce some nice flower you've probably just affected your yeild at this point. It's exactly what I done in my first grow a couple of years ago but I said any flower is a win for me but my second grow was probably my biggestbut 10 days into adding more of the calcium and the plant has gotten worse, i told my son i have no idea whats going on and i'm getting ready to just give up and let them all die , dont know what else to do.
thank you for the words of encouragement, ive been pretty down all day , three months since i started and ive managed to overcome some mistakes ive made, and fixed them , but this one has really got to me because i havent been able to fix it. back when i was a mechanic i could fix anything because it was something i was good at and had the knack of doing something in my league. all this that im doing now is completly out of my comfort zone because i have absolutely no knowledge of growing anything, that said , ive never quit anything in my life and im not going to start now, so im going to hang in there and do what you're recommending and keep my fingers crossed LOL , QUESTION how often should i feed them? i have been watering them every 4 or 5 days depending on the moisture content, (when it goes down to around 10 to 15 % ) when i finish watering and let them drain for an couple of hrs i check and its usually around 18 to 25 %. thank you for the info, i owe youWow wow wow I don't want to hear any of that! So what's going on here is your growing with soil recommendations with very little soil. When you use 0ppm water with synthetic nutrients the water will hold on to some and it won't be available to your plant and this is the same for Coco it doesn't hold any nutrients but can grab hold of your calcium so it's not available to your plant then to add to that your LED lights make plants more hungry fro calcium so you can see how tough the combination is. So because your 50/50 soil Coco your soil will hold a little nutrients but the plant will eat that after it's ate what's around the Coco so when your run off is reading low PPM it may still have a little you just won't see that part, you'll only see what's left of the Coco.
Now the calmag you've chosen is great low in Nitrogen. But your recommended dosage on the bottle is for soil as soil won't use any calcium it just stores it for the plant and you won't have run off so calcium in the water will still get used by the plant so you'll need alot less. Something you can consider on your next grow to save money on C&M but growth during veg is alot slower in soil so depends if your bothered about yeild or time.
Now for my nutrients my maxibloom says 5% calcium and I still add T-A calmag which is 4% calcium at 2ml/L in flower every feed with run off terra aquatica may be a cheaper option for you and it's a tad stronger, I get the 5L bottles.
So this is why I'm recommending you to use 2ml/L every feed with run off and your normal nutrients every feed too once your plants are looking better you can try drop back down to 1.5ml/L but monitor it as the deficiency may come back and you may have to stick with the 2ml.
