First Time Grow - The Incredible Bulk Feminized

With autos they generally suggest disturbing the root mass as little as possible. Can't argue with growth though. :thumb:

Ah right, I remember reading that with autos you need to plant them in their final pots from start, good thing these aren't auto :). I have to upload a pic soon of the worst affected, and I think the funk that this particular one has in its leaves is gonna tell you what it might be... Maybe.

For the record, you can transplant autos. You want to make sure to do it while there is still active growth, and you don’t want damage the plant, but transplanting works fine with autos. As does topping and other training. :p

For some reason I was thinking they were. Obviously, Oops. Lol

I think it might have been because I mentioned earlier on that my Local hydroponic store owner said she was growing incredible bulk autos and that they were pretty tall even for auto. Some pics of slightly puffy looking leaves. The leaves that look like they are almost right angles actually grew in out of nowhere like that, before the feed now that I think about it.

Day 18

I'm a little sad at the sight of some of the leaves that have not returned to their healthy looking selves, although in every other aspect they seem to be doing great. Lots of new growth, more fresh white roots on their way out of the bottom. 3 nodes if I'm not mistaken, with my biggest girl working on a 5th I think. I'm expecting upward growth to pick up speed as I'm moving lights up around a 1 cm a day now as I try to manage heat.

Heat had been an absolute pain in the arse to manage and its very cold here so I should have been able to take advantage of that, and I've failed... That is, until I turned my high powered inlet fan into a kind of inline powered exhaust, which has been pretty good because in the last 24 hours, heat has been average 25c with max being 27.0 on my hygrometer. I'd say at a guess just feeling the ducting, its at least pulling 1/3 what my 5" RVK extractor is. I don't know how on earth I'm gonna handle the predicted heat wave we have coming in the next 2 weeks (could be total bollocks though, where I am never gets what's predicted for the entire UK, that far in advance especially)

I had an idea about my humidity, or lack of, I have a wallpaper stripper that lets off tons of steam and holds a large amount of water, after reading around I found opinions that were against the use of steam within a grow room space, or even having steam near plants. Instead, I filled it up, put it on my bathroom floor with the hose leading and flat end piece in the bath, then placed a fan pointing out of the bathroom and I blasted my entire house (with all the windows open) till I saw my hygrometer sitting 50% rh which on took 20 minutes of steaming to get to. I closed most of the windows in the house and monitored the room, it took around 18 hours for humidity to go down from 50% to 40% which was a major improvement because misting only kept it up max 30 minutes. My house maybe in shock as RH in my house is very low at this time of year, not sure about doing that again at all and makes me think my next cash injection should be a humidifer, although I'm gonna need a lot less humidity come flowing so I'm not sure yet. So much more I could add but don't have time, I'm well baked and I'm gonna get some great pics when lights go out soon, sick of crap pictures lol. Then sleep.................

I see you scoffing at it bc you haven't tried it yet. I'll suggest it again for good measure. A few soaking wet towels hanging in there over a bucket or tub will do a lot to raise your rh.

The girls look nice and healthy:thumb:

Decided to top some of my biggest girls today, I was going to wait till 4th node but again with the height issue, I'm not taking any chances. Only topped 4 of them, as for the rest, spacing wasn't quite there for me to risk sliding a blade into the area, but the idea to do it today came because those 4 were obviously ahead and I'm hoping this way it can even out.

Reassuring mate cheers, I guess even with that I'm still gonna worry. They seemed dry so I had misted a little before the pic was taken, humidity was at 25% at the time, it is too dry in there, I'm misting the walls alot which does help but I'd have to be on it like a mo fo to keep it constant.
Have you tried a wet towel hung over a clothes hanger dripping into a bucket ?

Nevermind caught up oops . See your going to need this Vick’s mini cool
Most vapour unit eBay or amazon maybe . If you got high heat a cool mist will lower your temps and add humidity

Thanks man, I was actually looking at that one imparticular but wondered if it would be enough for the size of my room, cool mist sounds like the perfect remedy for my situation.

If towels aren't enough you'll likely need something a little bigger than a bedroom humidifier. Before I built the fogger for my basement I was using 9 towels re-soaked daily to keep Rh up in the house.
I'm very much a diy person and love knowing I can build stuff with what I've got sitting around the house, mostly because of being totally skint for cash lol, but I've been looking at all sorts of diy humidity contraptions, and I never came across anything called a fogger before so I'm intrigued, is the fogger you built in any of your journals?

It's just a 3 disc ultrasonic mister from the house of hydro .com with a waterproof fan in a 5gal bucket. Simple and effective.

Pretty interesting looking though considering how simple. Is this the kind of thing you do that gets you the name TurboBucket? Just noticed as I'm writing this, looking closer they have little seedlings in them! Lol That is pretty neat.
