First Time Grow - The Incredible Bulk Feminized

Hello guys, this is the longest gap in postings since i started the grow.. and for good reasons. Changed things about, built a wooded frame for easier drainage and additional airflow, inspired by @TurboBucket while reading your journal, reading and seeing what you build as you grow, to cater to future needs... it has been constant and exhausting... Special appreciation to @Weaselcracker, seeing you manage what you have going on, while seemingly having a pretty busy life elsewhere and having to leave for days at a time. I have to take my hat off to anyone who starts something like this with a job already, and gets results. I will Update on what I've done to this point later, sorry for the pics, not all great....

Looking good man your gonna have your hands full with those girls.:high-five: Haha
Thanks man, that's what I'm thinking now, need to build more wooden slat to space the pots further apart, had to shift the entire grow to the back of the room, right away from the coldest wall, it was such a temperature differce for the ones closest to the inlet that I did a little test, moved 2 healthier looking plants from the warmer area to the inltet area, the next day they started displaying similar symtoms to my 2 "sick" plants that were previously near the inlet, I think the inlet was responsible for bringing in air that was far too dry, possibly. Apart from the move, the only reaction I've had towards the two sick looking ones so far is flushing.

Looking great. :thumb:
with time and experience the work becomes much much easier as you can do things on autopilot and don't need to think so much.
A little trick for taking photos under lights with those magnetic ballasts, if you use some uv sunglasses as a filter it removes that banding effect.

How are the ladies doing Bud?
They are doing just fine, I think lol. Appreciate the interest buddy, no concerns here yet, apart from life in general picking up pace as well as my girls environment requiring constant adjustment... All plants have had LST at this point, 3 of which were done about a week earlier than the rest, it felt too experimental to do it on all but after seeing the results and also worrying about flowering final height, I decided to tie the lot down, the first 3 have responded impressively, are very short and wide, all had 16 tops last time I checked the canopy which is evening out nicely. I have still to build the screen which needs to be tonight or tomorrow, hope to be able to structure my next lot of post a bit better. Time will tell. Pics tonight, I actually can't wait to relax and reflect properly on what I've done. Cheers turbo.

Lollipopping can pay off big at the end for you, get rid of the popcorn and you have more energy going to the main colas.
That was exactly what swayed it for me, why have stragglers sapping power?! Lol, I dunno, some might see it as high maintenance or too risky I guess. I really hope my lights don't hold back the bud potential, seems like the weekest link right now.

Day 34

Things aren't as straight forward as I'd have liked... But I like it none the less.

3 plants are just over 1 week into LST (front right, back right, second from back right) development of inner tops still has some way to go, but I'm not worried about their height right now :) the others got the treatment when I noticed they were clearly taking a big stretch and it was just too much in comparison to their tamed sisters.

Feeding the Biobizz grow nutrient every second watering, still in increment stage (9ml in 20L) have yet to see any obviouse signs of deficiencies. Feeding Plant Magic Cal/mag and Growth Technology Liquid silicon in between the Biobizz grow feed, straight in at stated dosages with those, seems to be ok. Was also using the Alg-A-Mic as a spray earlier on but have not had time to mix recently so regular spraying was all the got, I did notice a substantial difference in leaf color boldness and texture after a few uses, but I also noticed very slight and few stains on leaves as a result I think, I would still use it again as long as the stains didn't get worse. More pics to follow....

I thought I fully understood what the purpose of the SCROG was, after reading about "tucking" and its purpose, it would seem I've bypassed this with all the hooks and stuff. I built the screen anyhow, then decided to add a second layer at the height that I intend to switch to flowering.

Set the net lower and weave branches in the direction you want them to grow. Keep everything as level as possible until you flip. The net should be filled to 3/4 with canopy.

A lot of scrog setups you see are really only a horizontal trellis. Here's a couple shots from last run before the rebuild. I got really close with the height but missed on filling it out completely. Was still very happy with it for a first grow.

Edit:
Final weight for those four plants was like 6.5 ozs in 8sq

That actually looks a lot more supportive than what I have right now. Looks good still.
