First Time Grow - The Incredible Bulk Feminized

Day 6

I've been in and out my grow room frequently since these sprouted, was getting worried about the length they were growing in such small amounts of time, that they might end up "leggy", also, heat was hovering 82F + don't want to take the chance of moving it further away since height is one of my main issues. I had a couple of 12w 4000k leds lighting up my area outside the room so decided to make them into a veg light, I did that on day 5 and by today they have stopped growing up and I've seen more progress in first leaves. Hope you like these @Grow2HealMe

Looks good buddy I wouldn’t worry about that stretch on them once you transplant you can just put more dirt or if worries toothpicks to hold up and support or again lower lights . I like 60-75% seedlings and 77-80f is what I aim for anyways .

Also remember form seed they don’t need crazy light for first week or two anyways

Day 8

Pleased to say I have progress although I did have a little hiccup. Yesterday morning I opened the dome to a obvious smell of stagnant water, the pots were not drying out and I hadn't helped either by continuing to add water. The soil inside was indeed saturated and compacted as well, although I was freaking out, I calmly started to remove the putty like mud from the bottom until I could see a tap root, it was small as I expected at this point, I started filling up replacement pots and removed as much of the old soil from the seedlings as I dared. I'm not sure if I've over reacted and got lucky, this all happened yesterday and I've seen the second set of leaves come in today. Guess the next few days will tell. No doubt they will be happier in this soil, I really had messed up with watering, I was so worried about them drying out that I nearly drowned them. Few pics of the wee cuties just after lights on...

Maybe try to get bit more air flow on pots in there bro ?

Hmm thinking out loud

Have done just that mate, I've cut some holes in the side of the tray and got fans on low pointing both sides, its hovering 43% in there at the moment, hopefully they won't mind too much at least until the pots dry out, I've been poking holes in the top day by day and bringing humidity down gradually, I had it at 75% before introducing bottom holes and fans.

Yeah you need some in and out exchange air. Clones need that humidity maybe next time try adding some more aeration into medium? So it drys out better? Hmmm

Going out to buy perlite to mix into soil for next pot, £3.50 for 10ltr isn't too bad I think, god knows that all mix needs it even without my over watering, cheers.

Right on in soil the better drainage the better the feedings if not mistaken .

Good stuff to come then

Day 9

The pots have almost completely dried out since the initial watering of transplant soil, holes in the bottom may have helped, but I think I'm going to water them and transplant into the 2 litre pots, but ditch the biodegradable pots... When those pots dry out they get quite hard and seem as if they could be a hindrance for my already slow to start roots, not sure yet.

Day 10

Day 10 began with a water, then a smoke on some actual Incredible Bulk, from someone I know, but who has no clue my arse is making buttons at the thought of quickly getting home and sitting down with a coffee to sample this beautiful citrusy smelling, pungent weed.. it's a pretty amazing smoke, very clean tasting and smooth, as for the high, I'm sort of in the process but i'll get back to you on that one... Transplanting revealed most seedling's roots had made it to the outer edges, 2 of the smaller ones are either struggling a little more or are a little behind, I hope the latter of those.

Mix: 75% soil 25% perlite

Just a few pic updates of before and after lights out. Given them a misting and its lights out for 4 hours, I would be doing 6 hours but I'm creeping up to it as I monitor temps with fan heater and its ever changing thermostat behavior, I'm getting there.

Day 11

There's an obvious leader of the group, if she carries on ahead i'll end up naming her, there's also a runt, but I don't want to discourage with shameful naming lol. The only thing I can compare this experience to is having a child, as a dude obviously there ain't no pain, just the anxiety to maintain the life you've watched from day 1 grow, except, they pay me back in something far greater than love.... Loving it :yummy:

Day 12

The girls are almost ready for their next watering, as the soil on top is dusty and dry, half an inch under the soil is cool to the touch with what moisture remains. I'm not sure about giving them any nutrients at this point although my Biobizz chart tells me to start after 1 week in or at 10 to 15cm with 2 to 4 leaves, that's kinda like now, even with allmix soil the chart advises to start now, maybe next water if I don't soak them too much and they dry out faster. Also, I noticed one or two grooves in the leaves general shape, one is more obvious that the others, I don't know if it is a result of me moving the pots around frequently to compensate for leaning, or that pot is more dry than others, or some other maybe heat stress, yesterday my fan heater caused a max temp of 29c when the lights were out. Other than that temps have been fine, although I'm having to cope with a max humidity of 35, and that's with my latest feature, hanging towels in front of my main intake fan over my wash bucket. Any clues about my groovy leaves?

They don't look a whole lot different than mine. If there's a problem we both have it lol. Im not worried. Looks like your on point.
That's good to know, thank you. I remember reading about this strain, it can take a battering in the temp department and nutrition, apparently... Not that I'm trying to test them lol.

Day 14

The past couple of days have been great for temperatures in my room, average between 25c and 27c, at lights out it dropped to lowest 18c, although these steady temps have mostly been because I've been opening and closing windows in my home as I keep an eye on air temps outside too, not ideal as I wanted to be able to automate this. Hoping to get my hands on a cheap and fairly accurate themostatic controller soon which should help me out a great deal and give me less to worry about. For now though, I have 10 happy looking plants, even if I do say so myself lol. For most of these plants, everyday there is progress, as for one or two others, they seem to have slowed down, but I'm hoping its just a bad patch because of slow growing roots at the start. The soil is still moist but overall it has dried a fair bit since watering, I'm pretty sure next feed should have some nutrients for them.

I thought I was imagining this, my grow room smells of weed.... You can point out the obvious reason why :p I didn't think they would smell during veg, let alone at this age. After reading around, I read that some do smell at this point, and it is all down to the strain. I had a little wiff of the tallest plant and is does indeed stink a little. Was holding off putting the carbon filter into action till flowering, but seems I may need it sooner.

Looking into liquid silicon as I plan on low stress training. The one I spotted is the same brand as my ph up/down (Growth technology). I had read in a few different forums that this is not for use in soil, but opinions differed, then I phoned my local hydroponics store to check and they said its cool for both. Has anybody else used this in soil and if so, was there a guide line amount and did you follow the recommended amounts they advise? Cheers. Edit: gonna post this in FAQ too.
