First Grow In Over 20 Years! Northern Lights Under 600W LED

I’ve made S1’s and regular seeds from a male and female. S1’s aren’t difficult to make if you have the right strain.

I have no idea what an S1 seed is and I don't expect an explanation here but I found a good article so I should know soon but before that, I have another problem. My leaf problem is getting a lot worse on my new plants. I think it is a fungus from starting them in the closet without any air circulation? I have the dehumidifier going and a big box fan blowing on them.

Can anyone verify this is mould or have any idea what it is?

Looks like an issue with the roots.

Really??? Didn't expect that? Too much watering or not enough? I have been putting them through pretty harsh dry cycles.

Their larva eat the roots and the results show up on the leaves.

In coco? I would think something like that would only be in real soil? Sounds like this batch may be done?

I’ve had fungus gnats in coco before

I found these pics of leaves of plants with fungal gnats and they look pretty close to what I have.

I do live in Canada and it is winter so I thought I would be safe from bugs damit.

Like Penny said, H2O2 should take care of them quickly in coco. Put an oscillating fan directly at the soil level to keep any flying ones from landing back in the pot.

How much hydrogen peroxide would I put in a gallon?

It is weird though because I am reading, "Too much water will create the perfect, moist breeding ground to fungus growth, thus fungus gnats attacks. It is advisable to always let the top inch of the soil become dry before once again watering your plants. In doing so, you will avoid creating this negative environment." and I have been really drying these suckers out to promote root growth.

Okay, I found online that I should use one part 3% hydrogen peroxide to four parts water. They also recommend those yellow sticky insect cards and I will try those also as a way to monitor them besides killing them.

I appreciate the info and obviously you guys know best but I did get some mould growing on the walls in the closet where I had those plants so I’m thinking it might just be a mould, hopefully not black mould, that started growing in the closet because I didn’t have any air circulation in there with them. I really have to move my whole operation downstairs eventually.

Anyway thanks for the help and sorry to hijack the thread from that interesting seed discussion. I definitely want to start making my own seeds so I will have to read up on that and get back to you guys.
