What is it

Looking good sjb, especially after the transplant and the topping.

The sap you're referring to is just a liquid the plant uses to spread around nutes and water to its different places. Once the cut callouses over it'll start pumping that liquid (full of the growth hormone auxin) to the two growth tips next to the cut and that's where you get two main colas from.

Is there a particular reason you're removing the weights though? If your goal in adding the weights is to train the new growth tips, you should leave them on as the plant grows in veg so the growth goes where you want it to. If you add the weights for a day or two, then take them off, the plant will spring back to where it was and you lose the training aspect.

Hey 504. Kind of silly bit of info, you said you were new to the grow,, if you germinate your seeds in soil, always plant with the pointed end up,, not many people do it in the dirt, but if you do,,,,,
Well I used to use paper towels and two plates, but then I seen people putting them in water ina cup over night, so I tried it and the seed popped in the cup so I put the trap root down and punched the dirt close.. (bout 1/4 inch down)

@7Dust2 an I read some more about it and some do make a sap like substance

Ahh Kool. Never seen that. Good deal. Learn something today. I'm impressed and say cheers to the research. Lmao. Not many people do that.. they just do whatever anyone says first. Lmao. Jk. Yeah didn't know that. Kool

Some pictures before lights out, princess seems happy, an lil Debbie is on the way. I see it has a purple stem like princess did when she was this small I was doing some research last night on the strain an it is common for this to happen when the nights are cool, but it's not harmful so I guess all is well at the 504 grow station... 🤣💚💚👍👍

Sometimes the purpling is simply genetics, but in other cases it is environmental as cooler temperatures affect the ability to uptake P which some growers like to exploit for interesting fall colors in the late flower stage. But, in that case, they are encouraging a nutrient deficiency which can mean smaller flowers and less harvest.
