Equanimity's First Grow - Lemon Kush - Canna Coco - CFL

You should still water it even if you think it is dead because it might not be. Ive had 3 plants before tat I thought were dead come back after 2 or 3 days of taking care of it as if it were still alive. Dont know if that is your case but it couldnt hurt.
I just recently did this. Forgot about 2 plants I had in a window, dry as shit looked dead. I added some water, 12h later nothing. Went to bed , went to work. Came home and they were both alive to my surprise.

I would try and do another feed in three days no more. Are you adjusting your ph to 5.8 - 6

In coco your best bet is to get a good ec and ph meter without these its really hard to keep the balance.

I've been adjusting PH from the start.
I'll see if i can get another feed in at some point but don't want to drawn them.
I'll look into an EC meter.

Thanks :)

dont rush the feed dude.

What I think is happening is the plant is eating the food you provide before the next watering. this is the reason I said three days. canna coco has no food in it.

i went for coir cos it was inert, so that i could control what goes into it.

I just looked up the EC meter and there is one that i can afford but the whole calibration solution shit is putting me off; it's 3 times the cost of the device itself and there appears to be no practical way to DIY it.

I got my TDs on eBay for under 10$ USD. Tested against expensive ex meeter and they stay in range for about a year. My first one is dying now. But for the price why not.

what feeding plan do you use? :p

I dont really follow a plan. I use ro water so I supplement with ca/mg.

I use canna coco a and b throughout the plants life from a rooted clone I will use a tsp of each per gallon. but I also add other additives.

I bump up a and b right before flower and continue on through flower. about 7ml a gallon plus my other additives.

I think if you use 2-3ml a gallon with tap water you should be ok. and it shouldnt be too much for your plants. But as always you should try it with one plant first.

You're in the US right? ... 3.785 litres in your gallon?

Still not sure about the colours being exhibited; parts of them look healthy as fuck and then there's like two leaves in completely different places with a lighter green/yellow around the edges or a marbled effect of light and dark green.

They have not been fed since the other day as the soil is still moist; i have, however, moved them to be 6~8 inches from the lights just in case what I'm seeing on the leaves is light burn.

Aside from the issues with some of the leaves, they mostly feel healthy and have all begun to smell like weed (finally i can confirm that the seed bank haven't sold me basil seeds).

Any input would be most appreciated. cheers.

CFL needs to be within 2 inches at the most. cfl wont burn a plant unless the leaves have been touching the bulb for hours. The cotyledeons will fall off on their own so dont worry about that yellowing. Im able to keep my plants cotyledeons for almost the whole month of veg sometimes and sometimes they shrivel and die after 2 weeks. Your lowest set of leaves is turning but thats only because nitrogen is mobile. As the plant gets older it yellows from the bottom up and from leaf edges to the middle. They will also fall of on their own with just a gentle touch once they are done. The leaves still have a bit of life in them. Also get rid of those tiny leaves growing in at the bottom. You wont need them and if you leave them its only sucking the plants energy and will give you a popcorn bud. Eventually you will be defoliating up to the height even with the container edge at least. All that stuff below it will get cut off eventually. It helps promote good airflow helps prevent disease and pests who could just climb up the leaf if it is touching the soil. You never want any leaf to touch soil because after a few days it will be completely necrotic(dead) and promotes mold. So in other words. The height your plant is now in a few weeks should be completely pruned by you as it gets taller. The plant will then signal to grow the leaves up higher. Hmm this should be enough to help you out for now and a bit into the future. Cheers

i plan to top down to the third node when they each have a clear five each, someone had mentioned increasing nutes on the next feed but i feel that with one node each, that might be considered an overfeed.

thoughts?

I dont feed for about 4 or 5 nodes because I amend my soil with lots of goodies. I top around then as well because I just feel the plant needs a bit of time before you go hacking at it. Id imagine having its head cut off is pretty stressful. If you bend the top and train it to grow even with the branches the auxin hormone will inhibit the plant to act as if it were topped and then you can release the top and still have it with no ill effects. Cheers
