From what I've read, go for the 6" fan and get a good regulator. They run longer and quieter than a 4" when you turn them down and you'll have a good 6" fan and regulator when you do the inevitable upgrade. Just a thought.

Other than that - BAM!

Mornin Sweetsue and gang....About fans....my thoughts and what i use. First off oversize your fan , i use a 6" Ostberg(main filtered exhaust) this is the one w/your carbon filter. Buy a speed controller for it and only run it at 70-75 %.It runs quiet and cut back a bit like this it helps the fan and carbon filter last alot longer than manufacturer states.Keep an eye on your pre-filter ,and change it as soon as you can see it getting dark or a little dirty,this also helps your filter last way longer.I'm using a Can Filter #33 in line with my 6"Ostberg fan and the filter was supposed to last up to 18 months.....i'm going on three yrs now with that combination.Don't run your fans at 100% if you can help it,but remember you have to have the right combination to do it like this. plants have grown a lot since 2 weeks ago...i was transferring pics to my new computer, Thank you very much, again Mrs.Ziggy ;), and saw pics from 2 weeks ago...

the Panamas are being bent one direction one day and the opposite direction a day or 2 later. I have had to raise lights 2x

im pollenating various stems/buds with the Zamaldelica and soon Golden Tiger..:)
i am going to trim a few leaves after the weekend.
will this stimulate the plant to grow more leaves or bud maturation? The late bloomers, the Purple Haze and Purple Malawi are slower in their flowering...they have a pretty long flower time..i think 20 weeks?
I might need a bigger tent :rofl:

Awesome Zigg I can't wait to hear how your breading program turns out. I might end up with a male purple malawi this run if so I am going to pull him into the closet and collect pollen.

According to Ace's website Panama has a flower time of 9-12 weeks. :thumb:

I personally only supercrop as an emergency height control technique, but yes, it can be done. LST can also be done if desired. No problem.

That is exactly what I did....I have a 6 inch fan and filter in a 2.5x3.5 closest....oh yeh with a speed controller....I just got a titian mercury 3 in the mail but haven't hooked it up yet...
 
i need to get a controller for my ACE tent...i have a S&P 150 6" inline...it only has two settings.. actually 3 , off :)
the low setting is still very strong and it sucks in the tent walls. I actually ordered a couple extra of the heavy rods. I placed on side walls in middle, duct taped it. it seems to help.
-ordering that stuff, a good grinder, a bong..mine is for pre-noob, tonight with my P450 light. and couple of other things..

i want to add another one for the J1 tent. i have a new version P450 in there with 2 small toplightLeds..i will use the topledights for seedlings and clones on shelf, its where they are now..they are lighting the newbies..
thats another thing I should try with the ACE plants, clones...Monday or Tuesday when I'm trimming few leaves...gotta find my juicer too..maybe just use my blender..

i will write them and ask. i would like the newer edition too. :) i have 2 of the white, previous version in this tent..they are working great, and no difference to me from the newer version.
I'm thinking go the grinder they give to winners of the contests here at 420.. Space grinder? several members swear by them.
bongs..im totally clueless. i like functional..i have a coffee maker already..:rofl:

i just opened a chat window, no answer yet, on Platinums site. they now show the P450s in stock. the other dy, they were back ordered and were to be expecting to be shipping starting today. I guess they're on track..i don't know if they're the new ones tho.

Hey Ziggs...ya mon...looks like your Sativas are starting to let you know who's boss eh.:rofl::blunt:
Just messin aroung bud.... what a hoot.Zig..with your ladies....They are going to continue to grow very rapidly for many weeks.If you don't L.S.T. them now ,you just won't be able to enjoy the grow as much. You are so right when you mentioned the stalks getting alot tougher and stronger .I have an idea for you. First ,put 4-5 stakes in around the outside of the pot get some wire or something similar. Put the wire around the outside ,up at the top,sort of make a portable SCROG.Now you can train them all around that wire. If you like make a few of these going up the stakes. Iv'e seen this as an effective way to control them. With these Sativas alot of us are growing these days....indoors...it's hard to tame them. Sorry for rambling . Anyhow ,what winds up happening ,is as you train the main stalks around the wire....it encourages alot of side ,smaller branches to grow up ,all around. It gets hard to see the "leader" after a few weeks of this kind of training .If you do it right ,it's cool to see bud.Lets you really play with how they turn out ,without cutting off their heads.
