DrZiggy's 2nd Journal - ACE Seeds - High Brix - LEDs

Hey Ziggs...ya mon...looks like your Sativas are starting to let you know who's boss eh.:blunt:
Just messin aroung bud.... what a hoot.Zig..with your ladies....They are going to continue to grow very rapidly for many weeks. If you don't L.S.T. them now ,you just won't be able to enjoy the grow as much. You are so right when you mentioned the stalks getting alot tougher and stronger .I have an idea for you. First ,put 4-5 stakes in around the outside of the pot get some wire or something similar. Put the wire around the outside ,up at the top, sort of make a portable SCROG.Now you can train them all around that wire. If you like make a few of these going up the stakes. Iv'e seen this as an effective way to control them. With these Sativas alot of us are growing these days....indoors...it's hard to tame them. Sorry for rambling . Anyhow ,what winds up happening ,is as you train the main stalks around the wire....it encourages alot of side ,smaller branches to grow up ,all around. It gets hard to see the "leader" after a few weeks of this kind of training .If you do it right ,it's cool to see bud.Lets you really play with how they turn out ,without cutting off their heads. Cheers eh.:high-five:

This strongly brought to mind Ranger's espalier grow. It's the most incredible thing to watch this girl slink out along those twine guides. Makes me swoon every time I check on her.

That's a great idea duggan. I'll remember that when I have more room. That shouldn't be too long now. :laughtwo::green_heart:

Ya ....with delicate Sativas ,you can train them to go anywhere, really. I saw someone grow a massive Sativa once as a vine ,in amongst another vine. The Internodes were far enough apart that it was hard to tell what he had growing all over his Trellis. Night , night gang!:circle-of-love:

Ziggy...do you have an inline fan on your prefilter blowing into the tent or are you just using the one exhaust fan?

So, you're getting fresh air through the screen on the tent? Have you seen a need for a pre-filter + fan on the intake?

Sheeple, air enters through the zipper, tent. The tent gets sucked in. I purchased a few extra 'ceiling' poles form Gorilla and reinforce the sides, taped on, in the ACE tent..the tent gets sucked in enough that without the poles on the sides, the sides would hit the plants way more than now. :)
