Drcannabi's - White Russian - Recycled Organic Soil - LED - Teas & Foliar

Those are very beautiful plants. That SnC sure is a frosty girl. By your description in this journal and the last, she sounds like she is cut from the same cloth as white rhino.

Buds are a good size for day 29 as well.

Dialed in again!

You could be right Blaze. She's a 50/50 strain but the sativa influence really shows through in the smoke. Last time she came in right at 5 oz. It's all gone and I only smoked a couple test buds. All my friends and my patient really loved her! A little overwhelming for my tastes. I'm about as picky of a weed snob as there is lol! I'm not proud of it, but it's worth mentioning. I like my weed to have absolutely no racy or paranoia effects. Taste has to be somewhere between lemon, caramel and fuel. Buzz has to last 3+ hours. I'm one hard to please weed b!tch lol!

Looking good my friend! :) interested in the venom og for sure!

You and me both my friend! I'm going to have a full analysis done on my best pheno after the grow. Going to test potency, terpenoids check for any mold/mildew and pesticides. I've seen reports of this coming in at 26%+ THC. Hope I get one of those!

I've been supremely busy bro, But popping in to say High. Looks like everything is going good.
Keep it up bro.

Hey brother! I totally understand. When life gets super busy :420: takes a back seat. Priorities in order makes for a happy life! :Namaste:

I've just received all of my products that I'll need to do my high brix run on the Venom OG. I'll be following some basic rules and adjusting as I go along. I'm not going to list any of the ingredients or how I use them until I'm certain they work. I don't want to post misinformation here. The community has enough of that floating around.

I'm super stoked and I have been told by a reputable reference I can and should start using these products on my current plants even though they didn't start off with high brix on mind!

I love experimenting. Almost all of the ingredients are organic which makes me very happy! Dang I'm excited to learn and grow my skills.

Great update doc! Super gardening brother....carbon copy perfection of all your grows. SnC has the looks...wow! I know my burnt tips stem from my use of high phos guano during flower. No matter how little or how applied, it's the culprit over my way. But we got to push these flowering gals hard to keep up w/ lights stronger than the sun right? So the burnt tips let me know when to back off. 420 coming up....what seeds you thinking? My order is about set.
:circle-of-love::Namaste:

Thanks for the vote of confidence Brightlight! It's much appreciated. My burnt tips appeared right after I hit a dry root zone with a full blast of organic nutes. I know better but sometimes knowing and doing go their separate ways lol!

I'm for sure going to grab some Dynasty genetics. And going to make the BCBD Animal cookies purchase I've wanted for a while. I never pulled the trigger last month once you reminded me of the forthcoming 420 deals. I have enough chem and OG genetics to last a long while, so I'm looking for the out of the ordinary to finish out the order. Maybe some Dr. Greenspoon or Ducks foot to try my hand at outdoor cultivation while keeping my snoopy neighbors wondering what the heck that is lol! What do you have on your order form?

I remember when I took pride in yellow tips, showing that I could push the plant without killing it. Man how times change. I'm now adopting the notion that less is more, I frosted some Cheese tips yellow when I forgot my bene bacteria at feeding time. Yellow happens to everyone at some time. Your WR looks amazing and should be very dank.

Cheers

Thanks MT. I'm hoping the WR will be everything I've read about. It's AK47 X White Widow from Serious Seeds. It's been around since the 90s. I'm finding some gems in those old strains. The Shiva Skunk was such a delight. It was my first grow in 15 years so I was really just getting my bearings. I'll definitely go back and grow that one again. Now they've got fems available. My cup of tea.

Those burnt tips are definitely a warning sign. I agree with you and Brightlight. When/if you see them it's time to back off. Honestly, if I didn't screw up and let the pots dry out, I wouldn't have had this issue. My intuition tells me sometimes a burnt tip is a sign you've got it just right. I see plenty of burnt tips on journals that out yield me by leaps and bounds. But I'm definitely not seeking them out. I'd rather never see a burnt tip lol. :Namaste:

Help Needed!

Hey my fellow grow experts. Do any of you have experience with a triploid? Is this one? Check it out next to the others. I thought at first it was a mutation and almost threw it in the recycle bin. Closer inspection showed an ugly leaf next to two other normal leaves coming from the same node. Did I just hit the mmj lottery? Please let me know what's up with this if you have experience. Thanks in advance!

Here are the other lings and they all look normal. What do you think? I'm excited if it's a triploid....

Get the first reading, and you're gonna know where you are. It's not a silver bullet, but pretty close. It's like knowing your white cells count, which is a good indicator of general health.

Thanks Conrad. I'm not sure what you mean? Are you saying that I can tell if it's a triploid by its brix numbers? Sorry for silly questions but I'm having a hard time drawing the line between brix and a mutation. I'll have to wait a while before testing the brix. Even if I used the whole plant I'm not sure I'd have enough drops for a brix test. Sorry for the newbie questions but all of this is pretty new to me. Then I think I have a triploid on top of it. :thanks:

No man, triploid is a mutant, and you should cull it or at least keep it under a close surveillance. I meant taking Brix reading in your mature plants.

Thanks Conrad! I'm going to take some initial tests this weekend. It should let me know where im at now so I can see if my regamin is actually working or not. Right now it's all just theory lol. :thanks:

Cool little sprout doc. My Cole Train from late last yr. grew 4 instead of 2 laterals at the 3rd/4th node. Grew out fine w/ slightly smaller terminal buds due to so many laterals.

With you on the burnt tips....rather not have them but always remind myself I'm after high level buds even at cost of some burnt tips now & then. That high phos guano is magical but potent.

My annual 420 day seed buy starts with a replacement pack of Sensi Star. Also going to try a pack of Cali Boss Hogg as way to get into some straight Chem 4. On its new website CC is offering Chem 4 in addition to BH, but slight hassle to upload driver's license & MMJ certificate. Good prices though. Lastly, going to give the Loud Sour D & Headband a try. The MMJ forums' breeder bashing & hermy claims also directed at Loud, but at least a couple of grows claiming fire, which is good enough for me to give it a go. His East Coast Headband is not the usual SD/OG combo but 91 x Mass SS x Northern Lights. I want it! Both Loud & Seeds are NorCal guys....like their genetics & want to throw them a little support.

Wow brightlight, can't wait to see you grow these strains. You certainly know how to pick them. I realized going through my current beans I have some really good sours. I've got SSSDH, 818 Headband, Sour Jack, and Sage n Sour. I haven't seen the 420 deal that makes me want to make a purchase yet. As soon as I do, I'll grab some Dynasty Huckleberry Kush and Pineapple Fields. Then I'll look for one of those sours you recommended.

Please let me know when you see a worthy 420 deal. So far not much to be excited about. :thanks:

Hey dr. I went out and grabbed a bag of that Pro Mix Organic soil I was talking about. Check out these ingredients and give me your opinion if you would please. Can I cut some steps with this or no?

Hey Canad! That looks like it covers all the basic needs. I don't like the fact that they don't list what the "Organic Fertilizer" is comprised of. They do the same thing with "Compost". The list of ingredients would make it easy for me to make a recommendation but the way they list their ingredients makes it hard.

That said, I'm exited to see see how well it grows. If it works, I'm going to recommend it to some of my friends that struggle to make their own soil. Thank you for taking the plunge my friend. This could help a lot of people.

I'll help you any way possible during the grow. It should be a real solid base. Are you going to do seeds or clones? I might start them out how you normally do and then transplant them into the new soil when you're confident they have a good root system.

They do say that it will get your plant through 3 months of growth (veg and flower I assume). You'll definitely want to brew some bacteria and fungus AACT to promote the life of the soil. Get a bag of organic worm castings and some BSM for benies. I'd also look into a good foliar regamin. It can save you when things aren't working like they should.

Thanks for the post! :Namaste:

I'll be doing 4 plants from seed. but just 1 will go in this soil. I grow sprouts at work using this soil and they love it. So I know that seedlings will survive for sure.
I was thinking about some worm castings as well. I was also going to ask if buying some of those KIS packs you use to mix into this soil would make it better or not?
I probably won't be able to brew any teas just yet as I'm not prepared and won't be able to get a brewer for some time. I can probably find a way to foliar feed, and this will probably get me through any deficiencies that will probably come up. Worse case I can always try to fix the problems with my coco nutes.
Plus them being autos, they should be finished by 3 months which works out perfect.
This stuff is so cheap also, $16.99 for 85L bags

You've got a really well thought out plan Canad. I'm pretty certain you're going to kill it. Yes on the worm castings. I'd add a gallon to that sack. The KIS nutrient pack would definitely be a great addition to the soil. I used it very successfully on bagged soil in the past. It's 55 bucks I believe. I'd take it easy on it since we don't know what they've already added. My bag has lasted over a year and I still have half left. I'd recommend a TBS per gallon of soil to start off. I use 2 cups for 20 gallons of soil. Best deal on the planet as far as I'm concerned. It will definitely fill in the blanks if there are any.

Since it is already charged, I'd start at 1/4 the recommended dosage (1 TBS per gallon). There are a couple products that can get you through the grow and keep you're soil alive. I highly recommend "Microbe Life - Photosynthesis plus" awesome product. Use it once a week. Very affordable too. OG tea is another one but super spendy and the results are hit and miss.

:high-five:

Since theres so many unknowns about this soil and its abilities. I'll go one round and just let the bubba kush do its thing using just this soil and water. That way we'll find out together just what this soil needs. Then with your help I can do whats necessary to make it better, and you'll also be able to help your friends if they go this route. :passitleft:
I'm willing to potentially lose a seed for experimenting :)

By the time they finish, I should be able to get a brewer and all that good stuff. Plus i'll know whats missing in my soil.
