Drcannabi's - White Russian - Recycled Organic Soil - LED - Teas & Foliar

Ya I would def look into an already made brewer if I got one. Probably the same one AS just picked up.

The info from buildasoil is definitely clearing things up for me. Thanks Dr!

I already produce my own organic sprouts at work so I am already a step ahead for the SSTs ;) And I have a really cheap site that sells the seeds in bulk

That's a very capable brewer Canad! Just try to avoid the EcoPlus 1 air pump if possible. It is SO loud, I could here it through 2 walls lol. Bought an EcoPlus 3 and can barely here it over the sound of the water being agitated (Bubbles and what not). SSTs are awesome. BoBrown uses them all the time. Check his journal for some organic gems!

Hey canad, if you go with the brewer I ordered I'd suggest their website. You'll save $10 as there is no shipping charge thru their site. I ordered mine yesterday and it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow so they are very responsive.

Thanks Bud!

Yep, so many ways to success even through organic only. I went the PeeJay soil route and it has been amazing as a change from bottles and ProMix. It just has worked for me in my environment but I don't think I could go back now. I got .7 grams per watt of the best bud that has ever came out of my tent using it.

Organics sure have worked for me. And again, the tent just smells like a garden now when I open it. Dank and soil, that is a good smell mix.
Bob ;)

Well stated Dr. I mentioned PeeJay earlier in the thread as he seems to have a lot of loyal followers and gives his recipe away freely. That's what this community is all about. Learning, sharing, teaching etc... :Namaste:

Good News - The 12 Venom OG all sprouted as of this am. The last one #12 poked it's head out.

Bad News - I killed one #2 by forgetting to move the fan and it was directly blowing on it. Dried it out over night Doh! That's my mistake for today lol. Many more to come hehehe!

Since I dried out the flowering girls I hit them with a quick feeding last night. 4.5 gallons RO water, 1 cup budswell, 1 cup humic acid, 1/2 cup liquid fish and gave them each a fair share of the bucket. They all perked back up this AM. I'm now brewing a simple bacteria AACT to get the microherd thriving again. This is my go to AACT for inoculation. Nothing but 4.5 gallons RO water, 1 3/4 cups EWC and 1/3 cup BSM. That's it. It will go 36 hours in the brewer and I'll feed the soil tomorrow at noon. I'll take pics then.

This is the tea

I mixed a batch of recycled soil last night for the current veg chamber seedlings. It consists of 20 gallons used organic soil, 1 gallon EWC, 1 gallon perlite, 2 cups KIS nutrient pack, and 1/2 cup DE.

Old Soil, EWC, perlite, and Nutrient pack. I mixed this dry and then added around 3 gallons water to get the soil to field capacity. This is required for the soil to cook and become alive.

Tools used - See why I don't mix my own amendments anymore (ingredients list).

Absolutely MT! There's no doubt there is about a million ways to grow our awesome plant and none of them are wrong. Everyone has their own recipe based upon their own experiences. Nothing is right and nothing is wrong, it's just an ever changing road that brings us to where we are right here and right now. When I stop learning and quit experimenting, I know it's time for me too move on (if that makes sense). I encourage everyone to learn and expand. That's what keeps this whole thing interesting.

I have a close friend who's been growing for 40 years and he just bought his first AACT brewer lol. He's a character and listens to nothing I say until he smokes my weed lol!

He told me today he'd rather die than foliar feed and gave me that old man look like if I said another word he'd kick my ass lol. I bet he's foliar feeding before the end of the year lol.

drc..if foliar spraying is difficult, send your friend to the bud washing thread..(I wash my harvest now all the time, btw..its awesome!!)

Sheesh, I'm struggling to keep up with all the strains you have going and plan to get going. I love it!

lol, I have more beans than I can grow in my life time with my small operation. I'm a hoarder. I guess I think it's better to have something I might never grow than to want to grow something and not have it. I've got a real problem! :high-five:

It's a problem we all aspire to.

I propose that with each grow you throw in a wildcard. Basically, pulling a strain name out of a hat type of thing. That way, you might grow something unique or spectacular that you may never have gotten round to growing.

Those are the freebies blaze! All the plants going in to the tent next week are those of which you speak. Sometimes freebies end up being the star of the show. You're absolutely right on the mark my friend!

We do the same then. Both Super Skunk and Superb OG were freebies and not something I would have thought to invest in. :thumb:

Update Time:

This is Day 29 12x12. I don't count from pistils. I start counting the day I start them on 12x12. I also don't mess with the light. I just keep a solid 12 on 12 off throughout flower cycle. If I get a sativa that just wont finish, I don't grow it again lol! That's just me.

These are from this afternoon. Just after drenching with an act tea and the bi-weekly foliar feed/IPM.

Here are the Venom OG seedlings - Sans #2 which I turned into seedling jerky lol #12 might not make the cut but we'll see. No real patients for slackers. I'm the only slacker allowed in this grow

She smells amazing Shiggs! The last grow she started stinking like cat piss. This time so far she's kept her wonderful strawberry jam smell. I'm hoping she keeps it throughout flower and cure. A lot of people loved this one as their fave on the last grow. I was more of a fan of the Lost Coast og. The SnC has quite a bit of sativa influence and was a little racy for my taste. This will be my last run of her and I'll let her go at least 63 days. If I can figure out the nute deficiency, I'll let her go a full 70.

S & C is stellar, for day 29, those look great. Few burnt tips but all looks good. Now let's swell them up and bring em home.

Cheers

I knew you'd catch that MT! Yeah I really screwed up when I let the 7 gal fabric pots dry out. Then I hit them with a heavy dose of guano, fish and humic acid. That straight to a dry root medium was a recipe for nute burn. It can be done in organics too lol.

I've got the soil back on track and shouldn't see any progression with the nute burn - knock on wood.

Scorpions have a new album out (as I try to chage the subject lol)!

I'm super stoked for the next chapter as I try to navigate high brix with no testing or kit. I love experimenting and love being self sufficient even more. Thank you tremendously for taking the time to see the burnt tips.:thanks:

I still have to be careful, using Chem nutes can be tricky to keep the yellow out.

Cheers

Those are very beautiful plants. That SnC sure is a frosty girl. By your description in this journal and the last, she sounds like she is cut from the same cloth as white rhino.

Buds are a good size for day 29 as well.

Dialed in again!
