Drcannabi's - White Russian - Recycled Organic Soil - LED - Teas & Foliar

Opioids will do that to ya, but as long as you take it as a medicine you have much better chance to let off. I was never into this stuff, but then my pain rarely gets so bad that cannabis won't do anything.

You've got that right! At this point my Dr. and I are just following the plan we made in January. I've been taking it exactly as prescribed. It's all about avoiding the massive withdrawals now. She said going from 5 to 0 will be the hardest. Can't imagine it will be anywhere close to going from 300 to 0 lol!

Conversion officially in progress. Picked up some amendments and a compost brewer is on order :)

Just finished catching up the journal. Been real busy lately. Such great details. Your plants are absolutely gorgeous. Holy Cow! And Congrats on the sponsor. Can't wait to see them venom girls grow up under it once it arrives.

Awesome AllSmiles! Man you jumped right in there. What brewer did you end up with? I talked to Paul late last week and he said the light should ship out at the end of the this week. Sometimes he gets a massive order and has to put those ahead of giving them away lol! Don't forget to add some neem cake and DE for IPM. You'll also want a good foliar routine as sometimes the first time you use soil, deficiencies can arise. It's good to have a quick fix when that happens. Once you start recycling it, deficiencies rarely show up.

All the Venom OG seedlings have broke ground now except #12 which had the smallest root at planting. I'll give it another couple days. #2 looks like it's already wasting. It's pretty easy to toss a couple stragglers when you've got 12.

Just got back from the grow store with some neem seed meal :) The person there said neem cake is another name for it. Hope he didn't just say that to get a sale. I had some DE laying around.

For the brewer I went with a BubbleSnake aerator by TeaLabs in Humboldt County, CA. They had a nice little 5 gallon brew kit that also came with a reusable teabag and a small commercial air pump. Pretty excited for it to arrive. I was going to build one my self but this was right in my price range and looked easy to maintain.

I'm taking a small step towards organic growing. I'm going to try an Auto Bubba Kush in Pro mix orgranics veg & herb. I know nothing about organic feeding or making my own soil. I just want to see how a plant would do in that stuff. Maybe I can just fine tune it if anything is missing?

How awesome! I just looked it up and it looks like it's a very capable brewer! I had a very similar one a couple years ago. If it doesn't come with a lid, you can buy a generic one and cut out for any necessary appendages lol. That's what I did. A good tea will foam up pretty good. If out starts overflowing, you can add a 1/4 cup of GEM liquid fish and that will knock it right down. It's also good to have on hand due to is ability to help keep your soil alive while not burning the plants. It's very forgiving. Congrats on the purchase!

Hi Canad, I think you'd need to amend it for it to make it through flower. You could reuse some of the soil you've already grown in and follow my recipe on page one. I prefer buying the nutrient pack from KIS because I don't like the idea of buying 12 different bags of amendments. I don't have the space with as few plants as I grow. You'd definitely want to think about brewing an AACT to inoculate the soil regularly. There are a few good do it yourself recipes out there. I'd check out Clackamas Coot (Google search)for his recipe. It's highly respected in the organic community. My thought is all I need is some old soil, the nutrient pack, worm castings and perlite. Makes our super easy for me. I used to buy all the boxes and bags but its a pain. Another thing is foliar feeding. Not everyone does it but I highly recommend it.

I wish it was as easy as just pouring some rock dust on promix, but it does take some planning and elbow grease to get a good crop. :Namaste:

Just remembered there is a 420 member here Pee Jay. There are quite a few folks reporting awesome results using his recipe and he gives it away freely. Dr Bob uses his mix. That's a good place to start too.

AllSmiles, forgot to answer your neem question. As far as I know they are the same thing. The idea is to get a non liquid (oil) type usually powder that you can add to your soil for pest prevention. The DE should be used sparingly. Maybe half to 3 quarters of a cup per 20 gallons.

The more I read up on organic growing the more im interested. Currently i'm in coco so I thought I'd start with Pro mix organics since maybe it already had some of the mixes already done for me and I could just fill in the blanks? I'll have to do a lot more reading before I understand about brewing teas and what not. I assume that is how you recharge the soils nutrients? I live in an apartment so I also don't have the space to gather up all kinds of supplies. Thats mainly what has been stopping me from looking into it.

That definitely complicated matters. I'm not aware of a commercial bagged organic soil that will get you all the way through flowering but there may be one. KIS sells a premixed organic soil but I don't think they ship it. The promix is a great base but you'd need to amend it. That's a lot of soil for an apartment. And if you live with anyone, they'd most likely not enjoy a 5 gallon bucket of worm poop bubbling in their bathtub lol. Maybe go half way?

In my opinion anything you can do that's organic will improve your grow. Grab a bag of peat based soil that looks promising (lots of organic ingredients) from your local hydro store. Happy Frog? Then check out build a soil. They sell a nutrient pack for 25 bucks. There's a product called OG tea that you don't have to brew that is supposed to contain all the benies you need to keep your soil alive. That's the goal, adding bacteria and sometimes fungi to keep your micro heard alive and eating the minerals turning them into food the plant can easily uptake.

I made a cardinal sin today and let my flowering plants dry out today. I've done this long enough to know that my yield and plant health are going to suffer. I'm kicking myself in the butt because I know better. I usually water a gallon per pot every other day and for some reason I messed up and went 4. They still look ok but I know the potential won't be realized. Sometimes organics are unforgiving but usually, as long as you keep the soil alive, it's much more forgiving.

Check out build a soil. You should be able to grab a sack of happy frog and make it work. :Namaste:

That's the key! Read as much as you can. Microbeman Tim Wilson (Google), is one of the world's most knowledgeable when it comes to organic living soil, AACT, and the symbiotic relationship between the two. Check out his website if you have a chance. He's the one that really got me hooked. Every grow I learn a little more and usually produce a better product than the time before. You could do this your whole life and still be learning. I get stoked to try new things every grow. It's addicting in itself.

FFOF, does ok for me, their bushmaster line is all Organic but I also use their salts and liquid's. It's not true organic but it suits my ability.

Cheers

Absolutely MT! There's no doubt there is about a million ways to grow our awesome plant and none of them are wrong. Everyone has their own recipe based upon their own experiences. Nothing is right and nothing is wrong, it's just an ever changing road that brings us to where we are right here and right now. When I stop learning and quit experimenting, I know it's time for me too move on (if that makes sense). I encourage everyone to learn and expand. That's what keeps this whole thing interesting.

I have a close friend who's been growing for 40 years and he just bought his first AACT brewer lol. He's a character and listens to nothing I say until he smokes my weed lol!

He told me today he'd rather die than foliar feed and gave me that old man look like if I said another word he'd kick my ass lol. I bet he's foliar feeding before the end of the year lol.

Yep, so many ways to success even through organic only. I went the PeeJay soil route and it has been amazing as a change from bottles and ProMix. It just has worked for me in my environment but I don't think I could go back now. I got .7 grams per watt of the best bud that has ever came out of my tent using it.

Organics sure have worked for me. And again, the tent just smells like a garden now when I open it. Dank and soil, that is a good smell mix.
Bob ;)
