re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I got the high brix bug with a grow underway...so my deal is half assed. Anyway I respect and admire the amazing grows contributors (and doc) achieved so... could i get your thoughts on this plant?

It's a Western Winds fem it's been vegged for about 7 weeks. It's in a 5 gal plastic pot with a peat, compost, calcined clay and ewc mix. The media is mineralized. It's under a 480 actual watt led spacing is 18 inches. RH and temp are optimal. It gets aact, fish hydrolysate, and once weekly fulvic foliar.

I flipped it to 13/11 three weeks ago. Last week i dropped it to 12.5/11.5. I suspect it's stunted not sure why...

I don't know what to think of that....but I'll wager the roots don't look too happy.

Every now and again, one of them just goes off.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I've grown Kali Mist, which from what I've seen is a pretty light feeder and she doesn't take too kindly to big changes. The edges of the leaves look slightly nute burnt, and/or the leaves look a little heat stressed to me. I'm no expert by any means, so maybe somebody else will weigh in. Another thing that came to mind is foliar feeding with a few hours left on the lights and leaves getting burnt that way. Personally I would go back to just reg calmag water and be gentle with her. Don't bother with the foliar spray cause she's stressed anyways. All the foliar does is push the plant a little farther if everything else is in the money zone, and something isn't quite right.

What up Doc i got a question as to whether this is normal from the foliars like a residue or if this is wwwayyy more serious and is PM????

What are your thoughts? i sprayed brix on sunday and stress tuesday then again this thursday.

Thanks for the hlep

another question DOC!!??

How long should i leave these girls in the 5"x5" square pots before transplanting into the 5 gal smarties?? intially it was taking them about 7-10 days to go dry now its taking only a few days tops so i know the roots are really grooving now. normally i would go ahead and transplant now but i want to follow your suggestions and have your input since there is a ryhm and reason with the roots and high brix.

Thanks as ALWAYS:Namaste:

You could go ahead and do it now, judging by the pics. You could get another week out of them if you wanted monsters, but you'd be dunking daily. I've got a few like that right now.....PITA.

Make sure to vertically score the root ball from top to bottom, 4 times, opposite sides, etc. Liberally coat with Root Zone and water in with transplant water per the kit.

Works like a charm :)

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Ya eh...monsters indeed! Hey Doc, I have a concern...like iv'e never seen! My three MK Ultra's are turning into ....well...they are outgrowing my plans. The concern i have is this, in two weeks i'l be away for 7 days, when i come back is when i was going to flip em.That means they will get a minimum of three more weeks of veg.Doc....right now the main stalks are like magic markers! Can these 7 gal "rootbuilders" and the kit soil make it? I always seem to run into problems right around 3 to 4 weeks into flowering .These are going to be big!My plan is to steak them with trellis so i can still move them around and i'l be able to "spread" them out to take advantage of this fantastic growth. One last thing Doc...They went crazy right after there first feed of energy and tea.Gave them a weak feed at 15mls of energy with 5 mls of tea in 2 gal's. distilled ,as always.I really havn't seen this kind of lush ,strong growth Doc...over the top:):)When i can i will post a few pics so you can see for yourself. Thoughts ? Cheers eh!!

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Doc you truly are a maven, not just about growing, but about living. On the 22nd I too was talking about feeling like a hamster in a wheel.(I posted it below) Thank you for putting things in perspective for me :) Your last batch of pics were simply breath taking too!

Uh oh....this GSC I just harvested is possibly too strong to enjoy. I just 3 hitted a small nug that was not quite dry and I think my IQ went down 30 points at least. I better smoke more and get back later.......

After 6-8 more good bong hits I feel enlightened, which probably means I'm really, really high, possibly stoned....I can't really tell.

I added 1/4 cup High P bat guano and 1/2 cup Root Zone to the bottom half of each of those pots. That along with some very strong cat drenches and 1/4 dose Transplant every watering kept the soil energy way up high which is what needs to be done to these salt loving strains in order to get the coveted flavor everyone expects.

This stuff tastes sweet, very OG like, with a mint overtone. Crazy strong. I think I get it finally.....I just haven't done a good job on this strain till recently. I'm looking forward to how the organic bone meal (guaranteed non-gmo feed) goes on the Tahoe OG, another salt lover. These are really fun to grow.

Pics tomorrow, probably. Everything's cool, but I'm behind on manicuring so I need space in the drying room and I have plants that need harvested....glad I finished with an Energy flush, they're mostly green and happy.

---------------------------------------

So I was having a "deep thought" while meditating under the stars a few minutes ago, pondering certain qualities about weed and how it effects my health and my life, then projecting that onto a large segment of society----assuming Cannabis has a similar or complimentary effect on everyone, which may not be true---and wondering.

What does all this Cannabis do to me? Does it make me slow? Yes...I'm probably half a step slower mentally....the flipside is that I'm much more patient.

Is it healthy in a physical sense? Absolutely. I get fantastic sleep, don't get sick, have no headaches, or any other health problem of any kind. My lung function seems untouched but I do have a bit of irritation in the upper tract.....but overall function is excellent in the medical sense.

What about motivation? Here's where I might have stumbled onto something. Perhaps this is nothing more than evidence that the GSC is strong, but I don't think Cannabis decreases or weakens motivation at all.

No, being properly supplemented with a panoply of cannabinols and cannabinoids causes a person to find contentment in almost any position in life, except perhaps in positions of no weed, no food and no sex, in which case most pot smokers I know show tremendous motivation to deal with all 3...at which time they become content again.

It doesn't mean you're not motivated to succeed, it merely means you don't sell your soul and miss out on the present, in order reap a benefit in the future. Success can come without the addictive behaviors of the corporate world, and Cannabis teaches us this.

Pot smokers figure out how to prosper in honest ways, mostly. It seems many of us work with our hands in one way or another, or do something that makes people happy in some way.

It seems we'd rather live simpler, less fancy lives, but with less pretension, more peace, good food and good living, and that we'd rather live like this now than pursue the almighty dollar and run like hamsters on a wheel generating taxable financial transactions etc.

I think this very common sensical characteristic of pot smokers is what makes us so damn dangerous to the elite power structure. We just want to be left alone. We don't want to hurt anyone....we want to BBQ. We want to work at something we love, and we want to make people happy. It seems we all have that in common......especially when something we grow can make someone happy.

If people are content living simple, clean, honest lives, the chances of war, civil unrest and violence goes way down. I love the increasing focus on homesteading and self reliance.....that's the most American thing you can do. For some reason, all of this becomes important to us once we begin to regularly smoke or otherwise ingest Cannabis.

Can you imagine a large part of the population regularly smoking great weed? I mean like 70% or more of the people smoked 4 times a week. I think the culture would simplify in a big way, and we'd see a much nicer society all around.

I think that scares the hell out of the power elite! Let's keep this up. This could very well lead to a peaceful revolution....the only kind worth having.

Hi my friends, I have been working far too much to no avail. Like a hamster in a wheel. A rat stuck in a maze without an exit...

:Namaste:
