Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

You can get massive growth using Nutriplant Ag along with APSA-80 together in the mix.. I'll probably get shot for telling you guys this but I don't give a shit anymore :) It's used for corn basically. I have no idea how it got used on weed but I'm guessing Thailand farmers started it. I heard about it from a friend who told me it's in a asian supermarket- the guy was a jeweler and selling it in small bottles behind the counter :goodjob: He even had a scrapbook full of pictures of huge plants. I used it and the plant will actually stop tracking the sun for a day after and just grow till it wears off. It separates you from the bozo. It triggers something in weed that's pretty incredible. I use it indoors too but in a more dilute amount. High brix is interesting but in veg I wonder if it matters as much as just getting the plant big. Were all looking for the shortest veg and flower time. The plant also is in optimal growth the first 8 hours of light and tapers off which is why a 8/12 or I like 7/12, gets it done with more dark periods in a shorter amount of time. End up with 19 hour days in flower, just have to record when the light cycle is on and off so you don't walk up in there during the dark cycle. Might pick up some field chalk just to see how the final tastes.. Hit the old lady in the face with some while I'm at it! :)

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Many of us here aren't looking for shortest veg and flower time. Super healthy, nutrient dense, high flavor, high taste, high high. That's the goal.

Just watched a youtube video for 'nutriplant ag", it was in another language, but that didn't stop me from understanding the part where the guy in the video needed to put on hazmat type rubber gloves before handling the product.

I'll pass, thanks.

Bothteams,
A friend who has grown in the past, mentioned to me that in our area, some people grow cannabis within the corn aisles. They remove a corn seedling just after sown, replace with their favorite seed and harvest before the corn is. He said corn and cannabis do well together.
Just relaying info.

Yeah I guess you could if you planted late in the season during the second harvest. Corn cover only lasts say 4 months tops but it grows really fast. Sugar cane is good if you can grow it. If your growing big you need more time. About the hazmat suits xd That's asians man they love to wear that shit. I seen guys spraying crop duster pesticide @400 dollars a gallon (concentrate) so they had to wear the suits. I tried a little on some spider mites that were on some sabatoge crops and inhaled a little- I was seriously out of it for a couple days with breathing problems.

One of the vets told me the pesticide they use is so strong that if you wait for the wind to pick up a little and spray it downwind your crops, everything flying dies. This is the real deal you won't find in lowes, they get it through licensed guys who sell on the side. I admit I used it lol But it was because this asshole tried to take out my crops with spider mites.. He planted a eggplant and had some peppers around my grow he just failed to spray. I was like wtf are these spider webs on his plants. The wind was carrying them over into my grow I could see the advance on some weeds. I sprayed all his shit and stomped it down. Lucky had seen a newbie lose his big trees a week before to spider mites- they ate up everything. He thought someone poisoned his stuff but it was mites, they eat all the bud from the inside out :(

He gave me a bottle of it to spray on the mites but 'forgot' to tell me about the mask of course. See that's what newbies are for- to laugh at. But I wouldn't say the Nutriplant needs any mask or anything like that. Anything that sprays though might not be a bad idea. It can be used in a variety of ways even in your feed- just be creative and you'll see what I'm talking about.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

The feed corn, corn served to animals, is harvested here in late october, november. Just like the outdoor grows of our favorite plant.

Depends on when it's planted.. Like I did white corn last year started in July. That harvested in October.

The corn planted earlier in the season April was already dead. If you start your grow in may, the corn has to be replanted. I grew this stuff along with other crops like bitter melons. It might depend where your at too. Midwest it's a lot colder than the west coast. So they might have to plant later in the season.

Doc, here's a few pics of the MK Ultra .Right now they're about 18 to 20 in. high, same width! I let them get big...then i drop a 400w. hps right beside the 400cmh. then i turn on 2 100w. little hps units that are higher up in opposite corners. I like the bud i get from this lighting combo.Tried everything else....and the combination works real nice.If i put a 1000 in there, it gets too hard to manage the temps. This time of year is great for keeping temps between 65(lights off) and 75 with all lights on.Anyhow , just thought i'de let you have a look...i have to borrow this camera so pics are few and far between! Well...off to puff, puff. Cheers all:)

Chemically engineered plant growth regulators aren't my cup of tea.....

Looking good bro! Very nice! High Brix seems to be working for you.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Thanks much Doc! If not for you and all your work, i would still be playing a guessing game with nutrients, soil, etc. It's so cool to see how the "kit" works, and man....does it ever rock! Can't wait to see these three MK's flower:)Right now i have no clue as to what the actual brix level is...don't need to...plants are the healthiest i've ever grown!! Following directions, and loving it Doc...Cheers!

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Doc i have a couple questions and a few statemets to make and i hope you are not offended.I am not a chemist or botanist so feel free to take what i say with a grain of salt.I have been reading countless articles about brix, soil, and chemistry.i would have to say i saw many of the articles saying brix readings can often be misleading.Meaning just because your brix is high this does not guarantee a potent flavorful crop..ive seen some posts on here that say they are getting inconsistent readings.Brix readings can be misleading and varying..Also i think alot of the users of this site assume that your kit is the only way to get high brix.I thougt this was so but i found it to be untrue.Alot of people seem to have a following for your kit. many of the plants look great but im not sold. can you elaborate more on the contents and science behind your brix method? and why testing a high brix guarantees great smoke in the end?thanks i hope you are not offended as i have respect for your education and experiments.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Brother I'm sure this isn't the only way. It just happens to be easily duplicated, very successful, highly affordable, and requires no guesswork.

its rarely accompanied by legit, consistent brix data measurements and it is called "high brix" i think toke raises goodpoints. i haven't seen . any comparative scientific analysis of psychoactive properties of brix vs non-brix so the talk does sound like poetry but it's still words.

Grow some and find out...I'd say the results are at least worth looking at. I don't ever see anyone else's plants look as healthy as many of the HB kit growers. Healthy plants=better terps.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

i am convinced enough to get into it. i think the pics are good argument makers.
but i feel that there is a sketchy factor in the lack of cannabis brix documentation and esp in the lack of comparative data of the finished bud.

since the technique is characterized as science based it must be quantifiable and it is... in agriculture. in my view demonstating the effects of high brix techniques with relevant measurements of brix and thc etc is work that needs to be addressed.

(i do have a high brix mix cooking)

You'll see bro :) its just different. Its grown more like food, than weed. To me this is growing properly edible cannabis. Which is what I am after, personally. The smoke is fantastic, but the buzz from a hb edible. Man...

I've thought about sending samples out to be tested various times. HB vs Hydro, then I smoked some more hydro after being a hb snob for a year and really didn't need to waste the loot.

curso looks are not scientific,no matter how good your camera is it cannot possibly display what the human eye sees. And in my humble opinion and experience i have grown plants better then some of these high brix grows..Von i would like to try it as i like to experiment with things and make a decision myself.

Thats great, please continue to grow fantastic plants...I will too :) The nice thing about the "kit" there's no guess work. Trying to achieve the same results could take a fair amount of time...guessing.

Every thing changes when some Scientist's get involved and formulate a program for the soil and yes the crop.

Edit...I dont need a $60 test to prove to me its better quality than just about anything else I have partaken in. If you want to pay for the test I'll happily send out some Sour diesel #2 from both of my grows...
