Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I'm pretty flattered by that Doc. Ya know stoner intuition got me to throw everything back into my soil. Having really nowhere to get rid of "waste" I figured why not give it back to the plants. No need to name it anything, just give me a foot note. It was all to aid in making the kit experience better for everyone :high-five:

I asked him about "crop rotation" and such and he said that Dr. Reams taught that growing the same crop in the same soil, green mulching it, and re-mineralizing the soil every year produced much better crops than rotation.

He was actually quite impressed with some of the experimentation we're doing here.

Oh yeah, the Kerrygold is all about what's right in the world. Organic, grass fed butter....amazing stuff. There's a big chunk of it sitting at the bottom of our coffee pot ready to go tomorrow at 5:30 AM. Breakfast. I'll have energy till 1 PM, no problem.

kerrygold is high quality but its not organic.

best butter in these parts comes from my buds farm ...with high brix pasture, best animal treatment practices and skills. they are cert organic. (organic doesnt always mean tastier) Its fantastic for kouign amann and even better in buffalo sauce for fried shrimp....a speciaity here.

Carving the way for excellent cannabis for everyone. It's a lot of fun and the rewards are second to none :) After thinking about the "vibration" of the soil it made perfect sense to me. Why it works.

Tell him thanks for the amazing products that have enabled us to have such amazing plants for me the next time you talk to him please. This is the future of cannabis and its amazing.

Curious, Do you or did anyone else ever try throwing back the ash(its mostly minerals in perfect ratio, no?) from your bud burning?

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

. The soil will begin to "vibrate" (his words not mine) at the proper frequency for the crop we're growing when we do that.

Hey Doc, I went to a Organic Gardening Symposium on Saturday. Everybody was talking about organic of course, but people just looked at me funny when I mentioned Hi-Brix testing they had no clue. I told them how much more nutritious and delicious highly minerelized fruits & veggies were. I wish I had taken my brix meter with me because they had some organic apples for everybody but they were not as sweet as I thought it was going to be. ( not Hi-Brix).
We had 3 classes and everybody had a choice of 5 different subjects in each class. I meet a lot of folks, 1 guy has a worm farm and was selling EWC all organic he promised. I bought some goat milk soap, it really feels good and smells great. I will be making some for sure as they were getting $5 per bar.
It funny you should mention Greek yogurt,I was online yesterday looking up a recipe and will be making my own from organic raw milk. Have you heard of Tzatiki sauce? It great and made from Greek yogurt.

Organic does not equate with nutrient dense.....and nutrient dense doesn't have to be "organic" as "organic" relates to state law more than being all natural.

For example, I can grow GMO corn organically.....and it's still poison. On the other hand, I can grow heirloom corn and use some Chilean Nitrate....which is an all natural substance not listed as approved for organic gardening in all 50 states. Here's some of their bullshit and misinformation. Don't be fooled by "organic." It's a political term and has no connection with Nutrient Dense.

Chilean Nitrate

Status: Allowed with Restrictions

Class: Crop Fertilizers and Soil Amendments Origin: Nonsynthetic

Description: Pending additional rule-making, the use of sodium (chilean) nitrate shall follow these stipulations: Before October 21, 2012, operations shall not meet more than 20 percent of an organic crop's nitrogen requirement with sodium nitrate. On or after October 21, 2012, operators using sodium (chilean) nitrate shall use it in a manner that maintains or improves the natural resources of the operation, including soil and water quality, and comply with crop nutrient and soil fertility requirements. A proposed rule regarding the use of sodium nitrate is forthcoming. (NOP Notice 12-1) See also SODIUM NITRATE (CHILEAN NITRATE). See Glossary for definition of "Chilean nitrate."

Demand non-GMO, pesticide free, nutrient dense produce. Who cares if it meets the arbitrary political definition of organic!

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Yes, I know they are even talking about greens being sold by big corporations only to stop the chance of them being contaimated by individual growers ! Really??? LOL
Ooh yes we talked all about GMO &

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

It won't let me put the name of the Big Corporation Monsanto.
It keep deliting the name, that was weird,

Oh yeah, that would work. Good weed stimulates all kinds of appetites.

One thing you foodies should try if you haven't already is mango. There's an enzyme or something in mangos that complements and enhances the psychoactive properties of cannabis. My favorite foods to eat at the moment is anything spicy, especially thai spices. For desert, I crave full fat organic greek yogurt with organic nuts and honey.

But prime rib will do very nicely, thank you!

This is awesome doc. Growing up in hawaii always get choke mangos, and when they in season holy crap it's mango time. My favorite part of a mango is definitely the meat right along the skin. If you slice the mango so the skin in still on and you scrape the fruit off the skin with your teeth when you bite, there is a distinct citrus weed ganja flavor that is just all time (as long as you not allergic to mango sap!).

Got me thinking about how marinol and other purified THC don't have the desired effect due to lack of terpenes. Apparently, myrcene gets THC across the blood brain barrier faster, so you more high more longer.

God damn I love a nice cold Hayden mango. Especially right after burning a doobie yum yum yum. Now I gonna have to have an extra mango for afta da burn sesh.

Now here is a great sounding day - Bullet proof coffee (w/ some cannabutter if you feeling it!) for breakfast, and a nice surf for a few hours, lunchtime hawaiian style - fish, poi, kalua cabbage, lomi salmon, finished off with a mango lassi! (Mango, plain/Greek yogurt, milk (almond?!), honey, dash salt).

Then high brix doobie and we'll be soaring!

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I did read that if you eat mango about a half hour before smoking the terpenes in mango open that barrier and allow you to get higher faster and stronger :)

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

nice surf for a few hours,....Is it crazy there today?

Yes crazy weather todAy. Last night super windy and rainy kona storm, today still windy. Huge northwest swell peaking today, biggest in about a decade..but victory at sea most everywhere.

About to drink coffee and start my search for quality surf.........

You and me....we could be bro's. We had mango, coconut and papaya growing wild on our property when I was growing up haole in Kahala. I miss it....vanilla ice cream with mango.....oh man.

You've definitely got it figured out with the lunch/surf/smoke combo!
