Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

If it's fresh, then the problem is with the environment or water. It happens. Low temps give a certain set of problems, high temps another, ditto rH.

I really like these computerish Greenhouse Controllers. Mine's a....dang, I forgot! I totally know this and I just can't remember the damn name! I just smoked half a J of Skywalker. Well, Titan makes one and I'm sure there's a few others. Mine works just fine, so I haven't looked for a new one in a long time.

Plugged into is:

AC (set on full cool with autorestart)
Heater
Humidifier
Co2
I set a De-humidifier to 50 or 60, depending and let it run stand alone. I can almost water the entire crop with nothing but AC runoff.

It's got a microprocessor on board, so you set the parameters you desire and it does the rest. It's hard to miss, provided your BTU's are adequate along with the humidity stuff.

Edited: Question answered..

You can also fill some buckets and put them under heating mats.

...add a thick towel to the bucket so that a long portion of the towel hangs over the edge of the bucket. It will wick water like you won't believe. then, run a fan across the surface of the towel and you'll get quite a bit of moisture into the air. Put a saucer under the towel to catch the excess.

This is my Critical at 6 weeks flowering. I'm concerned about yellow leaves this early and also green leaves getting duller. They were shiny at beginning of flower.
She had cat drenches in week 4. She had plain water, transplant drench and GE drench since then, both foliars weekly. Temps 65-75/80. Humidity has been problem dropping as low as 35% during day, 55% at night. I have mites with this grow, using weekly spray of neem oil extract to keep them under control. I've seen no live ones the past week and very few for several weeks prior.
My plan is to top dress with EWC and water with epsom salts. Want to know what you all think first. Thanks.

First of all, considering the low humidity during daylight, and that the stomata aren't wanting to open AND having mites, the plants look pretty good.

First and foremost, get your humidity up! 50-60%. Nothing will help more than that.

As for your next drench, it should be a Rescue Drench, but the plant won't take it with the arid, desert like conditions during daylight hours. Get the humidity up! Don't use Epsoms until the roots are happy again. About 10 days.

Also, mix foliars at half strength.

Dang you guys; so much incredible information to be had here....thank you for all you do in the HB nation....we can all rise to the occasion and elevate our products to be the best that we can be....I'm lovin' it!

The kit's so effective it saves some of us from ourselves. :cheesygrinsmiley: There isn't enough thanks for that, or the support on this thread.

Hey Doc,
So I am growing this Durban Poison. It is growing great but every morning it has some serious drooping. I figured the roots aren't fully built yet but want to get your thoughts. Today will be day 21 of flower, cat drench when she drys out from last nights watering.

After 12 hours of lights on:

Temps? Humidity?

It does sound like your roots are lagging a bit. Pruning the lower stuff, and concentrating on root formation (Transplant drenches) will help. It looks good overall!

Thanks doc, I think you're right with maybe the temps. Both Durbans are doing the same thing while the other strains are thriving. I'll play with the temps and let you know, she may like it a little cooler than the 79-81 range I stay within.

Thanks again .

Doc, looking for some advice. Super Siver Haze, day 70 of 12/12, though I switched to 10/14 a week ago. Temps 80+/-, RH 55-60%.

Note the top fan leaves. Not only are they clawing down a bit, the leaves are folding in on themselves along the centerline. Not every cola is displaying this.

On some colas, the top most leaves have some "fading", splotches of yellow/green. Reasearch indicates heat and/or light stress (this is the plant that grew right into the lights that I posted on earlier). When I switched to 10/14, I removed my tray and dropped the plant about six inches, so I'm now within the man. recommended light distance. New growth looks much better color wise, but some leaves/colas still show the curl down and in on itself. Thanks. PS- received my order Friday.

She doesn't like the brix as hard as the others. Ive had it happen on a few plants. Cut the ratio down and dont spray as much :)

I've noticed this happens a lot with landrace strains. They adapt very well to light schedule. If you notice this every day about the same time they just might be getting ready for bed time.

Cannatard, currently spraying half strength Brix with corresponding amount of Way Ahead on Monday and Friday's. As the spray begins to dry on the leaves, I spray with filtered water (tops only).

This is only effecting this paricular pheno of SSH (very bushy, branches every which way, hundreds of buds) The other pheno, four main colas with very little branching, isn't experiencing the issue.

Thanks!

I was also going to say this. My moonshine ghost train does this, along with most other sativas I've grown.

Hi folks,

Long time aeroponics farmer here, trying out my first Doc Bud high Brix soil grow.

Having some problems and have some questions regarding the instructions.

The 10 plants are in 1 gal phat pots (seeds were started here)
Temps held at 75*F
RH held at 50%
1- 525w led Next Light 24" over tops
Soil mixed and cooked per instructions
Seeds planted with 1tsp of Roots! as directed on bag. (This seemed like too much as it compacted to tight and seeds couldn't break through)
Second round of seeds popped no problem after I broke up the previously added Roots!

At this point I have some confusion on the instructions regarding measurement of GE, transplant, and cat drench. Then I found a post Doc Bud endorsed called "Sample feeding schedule" originally posted by MaxYields. It was very specific and measurements were a per plant unit of measure. I have been following these instructions. I used straight H2O for two weeks from seed start, and needed to water every 4 days, as pots would be light and dry in that time frame. After 2 weeks I started .5mL GE + .01 Tea per plant. Multiplying that time 10 plants and converting it to teaspoons it equates to 1tsp GE + 1/4 tsp of tea in enough water to get run out of each of the 10 plants. This watering lasted for 6 days till soil dried out. Then I watered with .25mL per plant with transplant drench - which equated to 1/2 tsp in enough water to get good runoff (approx 1 gal) I also have applied to flora sprays of De-stress 4 days apart mixed 1ml to 30ml of H2O. This seemed to help snap some of the plant out of their slump, but these four still seem stressed.

When comparing Doc Buds instruction to Maxyeields and doing the conversions to the same unit of measurement it seems that Doc Buds instructions would have me using more product per plant mixed with water...

Any opinions will be much appreciated

Thanks
Dopylemontree
