Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

My clones since switching to the kit seem to just root in general way quicker. I just took two cuttings from my Moonshine ghost train maybe 5 days ago and they're already rooted, didn't even spray them with DeStress.

I should also say I'm taking the cuttings and sticking them into kit soil with just some roots sprinkled in the hole.

You're killing me, in a good way! May I ask, what size pots are the clones going in and what kind of light are they under?

I'd like to speed up my 'clones getting roots process' so they can build up a better root structure before they go into the flower rooms.

I just cut a nice lower, woody branch from my plants then make sure the cut is at a 45 degree angle then stick it into a 1gal hard plastic pot full of dirt(watered) with some roots! on the top, lol. Nice and simple!

I veg my plants under a mars 144x3 reflector on a 16/8 schedule.

okay, I do 1 gallon pots, check. What light is it under?

:thanks::thanks:

How often do they take and root?

Yeah, pretty much. This time around I had no Dip n' Grow rooting hormone so I just threw em' in the dirt and they rooted even faster than normal. I've also taken HB cuttings and just stuck them in a cup of water and they will eventually root but my best success is just cutting it, sticking it in the dirt with some Roots! and covering it with some type of clear dome and keeping it moist.

Good morning gang. Took a few snaps of the GDP today. This CAT drench is really something else, Doc.!

Also, my Durbans were not as droopy today. Temps slightly lower and humidity slightly higher. .

Cheers!

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well today!

I thought I'd post pics of these two plants to make sure I'm on the right track. A few leaves have me wondering if I might need to take some corrective action so I thought I'd post a few pics here for the Brix gang's opinion. Being my first grow I'm a little unsure so I value your guidance!

These plants are about 27 days from seed. I topped them on January 30th. I started watering with RO water and 1/4 strength Transplant or approx. 0.4 ml each watering ( I went less than 1/4 str for the seedlings) then once they had 5 bladed leafs I started alternating Tea and Water (w/ 1/4 str. transplant).

On January 29th they got their first GE + tea + transplant. I am a little hazy on the proper feeding for a single plant in a 1 gallon pot but from what I've gathered from reading here I am doing: 2.5ml/4(1/4 strength) = .625ml Transplant, 2.0 ml GE (less strong 1st dosage than recommended 2.5 ml/plant), and .41 ml tea (2.5ml/6 plants in Doc's formula). The cloth pots weigh about 60-65 oz post watering and down to 20-25 oz ish when dry.

I am weighing the pots. Those suckers were dry so I watered straight RO and 1/4 str transplant or .625ml last night. I'm finding that it is taking approx. 1,500 ml to water each pot...maybe a little more.

Last Tuesday they both got their first Brix foliar at 1ml per 1 oz. They are due for Brix tonight. Neither have had Destress.

Forgive me, I don't have all the terminology down but the new growth from where I topped is coming out great. Since that and the GE, I've noticed the growth coming from the intersection of the main stalk and each leaf set node is growing up too. For some reason I just thought this thing would be taller. It hard to show in the pics because these things are so compact but they have some super thick stems and lots of veg growth under the main "canopy" lol. There is substantial growth trying to come up and peek through the bigger fan leafs on top...I'm thinking I need to start doing some training to allow the growth underneath to get some sunlight. As big as the fan leaves are on top it doesn't seem that the undergrowth is getting much light at all. It's growing fast so I guess it's getting what it needs. Maybe that is what is causing those lower leaves to yellow?

You'll see in the pics below. Plus some with a little yellowing around the edges. I don't think it's overwatering. If there is a problem I'm guessing it's with my formulas above for the feedings.

This has been so easy to date! Hoping I get a lady! These are Dynasty Huckleberry Kush. Definitely 2 different phenos here. The one on the right has always been shorter and more compact, thicker leafs and a ribbed stem vs. a smooth stem on the plant on the left. Pics were taken tonight about 10 minutes after Lights On.

Thanks guys....thoughts?

It's over watered for sure.

What are your temps and humidity?

It needs a rescue drench for sure. I think you're feeding too light. Start dunking the plants and letting them soak it up.

Thanks Doc!

Gosh darn, I thought I had these suckers totally dry....I went 8 days since last watering. I have been drenching them soaking about 2/3 up on the side of the pot then pouring over top and letting drain till droplets. I collect the drippings and pour back through once or twice then fully drain till just a few droplets.

I think my temps and humidity has been pretty good. There might be a few minutes at highs or lows but for the most part ive been around 78 degrees during lights on and 66-68 at night and 50-60% humidity. I have a humidifier going. It's hot here and temps have been in the mid 80's the past two days so I've been running the AC low in the house to keep temps down. I'm running in winter due to summer temps here. grrr.

Doc i just drenched/watered these two plants last night. Do I wait till dry to do a rescue? They are due a Brix tonight. Should I do that and a Destress?

Sometimes my veg plants will take more than 8 days to dry up, not sure if it's the same for everyone else. Wait for them to get a lil' droopy then water them!
