Awesome Mag7 welcome to the high brix looney bin. A few words of advice.
1. Don't do a side by side grow with any other method. Seriously. I did and I found myself getting irritated at my regular nute plants. Mad at mixing all the parts of the nutrients/calcium, triacontanol booster, silica, and finally getting them to a stable pH. Then I would go drop 1.5 oz drench and 2.5ml tea to my high brix plants water and voila! You see a calcium deficiency in your on high brix plants and are sitting there screaming "Why can't you be more like your high brix sister!!!" I warned Stage not to do it. He didn't listen and all his non high brix plants were pitiful (sorry man just speaking the truth. Your HB plants are fire.)
2. Keep separate things separate. Use different measuring cups for different drenches/foiars,etc. use different spray bottles too. Contamination will confuse the plant. Our sponsor growitbest.com sells these 360 sprayers that I love! Unmatched at spraying the leaf undersides.
3. Try to keep leaves on. Some love to defoliate their plants and Doc's system relies on foliars. For foliars to work you need leaves.
4. Try to buy seeds from breeders that grow and breed organically. You can grow any plant in Docs system but those plants that are used to an organic environment will give the best results.
5. I would highly advise you to go ahead and start with 2 kits. You can cook the second kit while the first kit is flowering. Otherwise you will finish your first brix grow and want to shoot yourself in the foot because you have to wait another 30 days for soil to cook before you are able to go again. That's a terrible thing.
6. Start that journal. Doc will be like a guardian angel over your grow and the rest of us will do our best to ensure you know what's next.
So stoked for you. The high rid adventure is an awesome one.
