Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

After a few years of coco I'm missing my earth juice in pro mix/happy frog. coco just never matched the quality. I want to go hi brix after reading {and reading}. if still available I would like to order doc's kit to keep it simple? ! I never read anything about using BTI for gnats in hi brix soil. would this be ok if needed ?

:welcome: walleye to :420: .

the mosquito dunks in water are fine to use in the Kit soil.

-Doc will PM you with details. :thumb:

Hey you...Walleye, you found us...lucky you ! You just won the lotto ! This place is a very special one, with a membership , second to none for giving great advise , not just with growing but with life too! We are a very proud group here but I have to tell ya ....if ya do a couple things your visits will be a lot more fun and you won't wanna leave ...just leave your ego at the door and when you enter our journals , put on a smile and good attitude ...the reception you'll get will be well worth it! Doc Bud has , with help and work from Ag Labs has been (along with the DBHBB Gang) working on perfecting his "Kit'. Many of us are presently using it with 100% success rate and very repeatable and reliable results. It's very cost effective and Doc likes to get "on point" with everyone who uses it, so any Q's are welcomed. May I suggest visiting some of our DBHBB journals to get a feel for our success and our membership. So, would like to offer you up , a big warm welcome to the Mag....enjoy Walleye....some call it Pickerel!....HAHA...cheers eh!:circle-of-love::welcome::bravo:

Thanks for the welcomes and response . Been around awhile but I am no one to be giving advice so I rarely post. My thought on Hi brix is my plants know more than I about how to grow and the more they are in charge the better ! ALL i CARE ABOUT IS

Thanks for the welcomes and response. Pickerel is a pike! Never understood why chefs call walleye pickerel - might be a Canadian thing! Been around a while but never post as I am no one to be giving any advice. I grew my first bag seed in 1970 and still trying to figure this out! My thought on hi brix is the plants still know more than I do so maybe if I'm smarter than dirt (and older) I will listen and learn. Good to be back to and still above the dirt!

Been awhile since pics. Nothing special. I'm about to add 8 more to bloom.

here's a good example of magnesium demand. This plant has had epsoms and wayahead. It's blooming furiously, resinous, amazing nose....and showing magnesium demand. Perfect.

What Duggan said....

Well I guess it higher time in introduce myself. I've been around for a few years but had to change accounts as I have no idea what my old one was when I came back from a break after a few surgeries. Anyhow, I think I've fallen in love with the thread. There's a lot of pages and I'm really not even half way through it yet. I've already been chatting with DocBud and I hope have an order in soon. I have big plans for a grow shed but I want to have everything ready and prepared before I do anything. I've been running Mars hydro before they became mars hydro. I just ordered another LED so now I have 3. I will be setting up three tents. One 4x4x6 flower, 3x4x5.5 veg and a duel text that if all in one with a partition in between that is 4x8x6, separated so that one side is 5' grow and 3'veg. I will have a shelving unit for seedlings and clones. One scrog and one lst grow with a couple autos to keep me well stocked throughout the year.
I'm extremely excited to use the High Brix and will have it cooking before the room is ready. Then I should be good to go. With all the advice and journals to keep me well informed, I feel that I won't have to worry to much and hopefully never have to pain. I have it when my anxieties shoots through the roof. Growing helps keep me calm and I prefer to be calm.

Love all the post, it's hard to keep up with so many people commenting daily, but one day I'll get through all the journals and if I dont at least I know I'll always have a place to go and a goal to chase lol. Take it easy y'all, and happy growing. ..

I use the 1,3,10 gallon fabric pots from rootpouch. Super cheap if you get the bundle of 10 (10 of the 10 gallon pots is 25 bucks.) they are supposed to last 3-4 years but that's outside where UV and temperature shifts will wreak havoc on the plastic and cellulose fibers. Indoor I see no degradation after almost a year and 3 runs. For saucers that fit the 10 gals I recommend the green hydrofarm saucers. Many saucers measure from the top radius but hydrofarm measures along the bottom. So I got the 16" and they match the 16" bottoms of the root pouches nicely. They are a soft flexible plastic that bends without snapping. I can't imagine how other pots may be better.

I would think geopots are the Cadillac. In fact they make a 4' x 4' x 1' tall square with a PVC frame that you can add a scrog screen. Someday I will get that and put a homemade dolly with casters underneath it and pond liner to catch the runoff. But that size would take 2 kits to fill lol. Oh wait I just had a thought! I could get the 3 x 3 which is 60 gallons and put it inside the 4 x 4 with the 4 x 4 lined with plastic as a saucer... I think a project has been born.

That is awesome! Looked it up and there kinda pricey. One day thought!

Any random High Brix journal on 420mag is like a symposium of growers that range from mad scientist to super laid back outdoor volcanic soil organic grow. We always seem to learn something and become better growers pretty fast. You see some of these "newbies" producing extremely high quality nugs on their first try, and also guys like Gray Tail, Duggan, Shiggity DrZiggy, Flowerfarmer and a few others I've smoked too much to remember and the insanely gorgeous flowers they regularly produce and everyone kinda helps out and next thing you know you've got the best weed around!

It happens all the time. Let us know when you're ready to put something in dirt and I'm sure the loose association of misfits and Ne'r-do-wells will tag along and watch the resin build.

:welcome:;)

Mag7, If you haven't read through Shiggity's first journal, you should make that a priority. He came to 420 as an experienced grower researching a strain, stumbled across HiBrix here, bought a Kit, and turned out some of the best plants we've seen on his first run. :slide:

Time and again, I see new growers try it, and even some people who have never grown a plant before, end up with gorgeous healthy plants that grow top quality buds. It's amazing and fun to see it happen over and over again.

Once you start your journal, the gang will pile in to watch. :thumb:

Doc, that happened to be my CB radio handle "Mad Scientist" (some- many of you are wondering whats he smokin' and whats a "CB radio")
:)

Thank you, Doc! :circle-of-love:

My main piece of advice is "follow the directions!!!". Dont guess, take chances or listen to anyone but Doc and us experienced kit users...please! Those of us who've been using the kit for a long time know the nuances of the ingredients and have played with them for a while. I dont throw much out there usually but I do have a journal and give advice now and then.
Good luck Mag, you'll enjoy what happens :)
