Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

hey doc/gang. my blue dream has some slightly yellowing leaves, just fading slightly. thinking I should give a tiny bit of epsoms? also, doc, your opinion on watering in the recharge with my 2nd cat drench? otherwise, plants look flawless and i can't be more than happy. resin production is more than 4x my last grow.

No problem with the Recharge. Resin is going to go UP with the second Cat Drench.

Blue Dream is well known to lose large sun leaves in week 4. Post a pic!

the ash…

Great to see you still rockin' it, Slo....

my blue dream is really yellowing up now, lol. it's sad to see! all the other plants are doing great. blue dream is still swelling and packing on resin but yellowing hard, i'm 4 weeks into 11/13 switch. anything you recommend doing or just prune the leaves and let it go?

My Ace of Spades is like that. No matter what, it wants to lose fans at a crazy rate.
I'm just starting a BD, so it will be interesting to see if it follows suit.

I am writing this from Chicago. I will be here for a week and I hope all my plants are alive when I return.

I have not been adding pH down until this last week because of the twisted leaves and rust (they came first) spots and I have been doing everything by the book (kit) until then and have been very happy with my results until this last week. Only my green crack has been showing these problems, not my Y Griega. Last grow my White Widow showed this also but it was not in a High Brix grow. No other showed any sign of the rusty leaf spots. When I get back I will look at their roots and take a few pictures before I transplant them into 7 gallon pots and send in a report. Is there an insect that might be the cause?

Is there an insect that might be the cause?

Since the insects attack the roots, I believe that could be from unwanted guests. When my first grow had root aphids I had lots of leaf problems and some looked like yours.

Yep, insects could do this. So could several viruses. Interesting that it only effects a couple strains. Did you get the clones from the same source?

Hey Doc, wondering if you'd comment on this. Getting ready to harvest (fourth grow) two Green Crack plants (From seed, found on Craigs List, so I can't be absolutely sure they're GC.). These are the plants I asked about a possible nitrogen deficiency (leaves cupping) about 10 days ago or so.

Instead of the typical "wait to the pistils have all changed color, most trichs are cloudy/slightly Amber," etc, I'm trying your new harvesting approach of "cessation of pistillate growth, slowing of water consumption, calyx swelling drops off and new sugar leaves begin to form".

From what I'm reading Green Crack is about a 50 day (flowering) strain. Today is day 58 and most trichs are still clear, lots of new white pistils, calyxes continue to grow/expand and more smaller sugar leaves are forming at the tops of the buds. There are no yellow or dieing leaves anywhere on the plants.

my goal is for a more sedative effect so my intent was to harvest later than sooner. Care to make a guess as to when you think these will be ready? The second pic is the tallest cola from the first pic and you can see there's an abundance of new pistils. Thx.

This is my third attempt with the Hi Brix Kit, big thanks to DocBud, first time with this strain, Blue Kush, from DinaFem. It's a Blueberry x OG Kush hybrid, supposed to finish in 55 days. This is day 19, been cat drenched twice and got some transplant. Colas are forming up the entire stem and frost is happening.

I didn't know it would get so tall, it's a bit too large but I'm going with the flow.

Oh yeah, of major importance, my first run with PlatinumLed lights. I have 2 300W panels in 4x4 tent. I think it was a good choice, these plants are way ahead of where I thought they might be.

Might I need CalMag supplement for the end of the cycle?

Kudos to all from whom I learn.

medmanmike,if i were you i'd give the plant a good de-stress foliar spray and let it go another 2-3 weeks or so, seeings the seeds were bought off craigslist you never know what you could get. maybe its just a pheno of green crack that takes more time to flower?or something completely different. nice looking buds regardless

that sure looks mature for 19 days. Is that from the 12/12 flip or since you've seen hairs?

I'd say 10 days on that timetable. Growth Energy all the way!

That is from when the pistils first appeared, I flipped on 9-1, took about ten days to start it up.

The maturity is what I'm getting so excited about, how crazy these get will be fun to watch. News at eleven...

Hey Doc this is my cotton candy 28 days since the flip all was going well till about 4-5 days I seen color on lower growth fading also some clawing on some
