re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Took a few quick picks.

C99 frosted up. Great shine on the Lemon Paki. Harvested Herijuana yielded 166 grams from 2 plants....all very nice buds!

Thanks Ice!

I'm going to do a really bizzarre experiment very soon. I'm going to bring a mite infested plant into the grow room, transplant into high brix and do NOTHING about the mites and see what happens.

If I can find a PM plant, I'd like to try the same thing!

Doc- you are mental! That's the opposite of what any normal grower would do!

But you really aren't quite normal. And neither are your plants!

The Super Mario star song plays in my head when I look at pics of your ladies

Stupendous! :high-five:

Man that C99 really came around rather nice. Is that super shiny leaf after the bug and pressure spray? If so holy man that really buff's'em up. Nice weight on the Heri's I'd love to blaze one of that stuff. Something about the look of that plant just makes me really like it.

With your mite test...are you going to use the "pressure" spray before putting the infested plant in?

I'm not going to spray anything. I haven't checked for mites in a long, long time....but I know they're in there.

I had a large web formed on the top of a vegging plant about a week ago and I merely removed the web with my hands and sprayed stress on the plant. Absolutely no damage to the leaves. None.

That's what gave me the idea to find another plant all tented up like that and just let it go. I hope they return.....they sure don't seem to hurt anything.

I vote no on introducing PM into your room. Although, I kinda want to see how the plants would do. I am guessing the highest brix plants would be unaffected. Some plants maybe affected. I don't know Doc your environment and rooms are so dialed in, that it wouldn't surprise me if the PM doesn't infect your plants at all.

I love the pics Doc. They look insane as always. And I think people would freak out if you had a professional photographer take pics of the plants. They look so good already.

About your Mite experiment.... I first off want to say that is some true evil genius type of experiments!!! Its awesome that you will risk your plants to prove a point, but I am rooting for ya.... What I noticed with my recent outbreak of mites in my veg tent...

I had 2 mothers and 1 large vegging plants. The 2 mothers really were at poor health and the 1 pre98 bubba was high brix. I didn't test the pre98 to get the brix level, but it was exhibiting the traits of a high brix plant including bright green neon stems, super plastic looking waxy shiny leaves and the leaves were all reaching up towards the light. Overall the plant looked happy. The infestation went un noticed until they got bad and severe leaf damage was a result on the 2 poor health mothers, but the high brix bubba had no signs of mites or any types of issues. I do believe that your experiment will work and what we have read about natural plant protection will hold true with the high brix.

Keep up the amazing work Doc!!! you have a lot of fans, most coated in trichomes :) lol

I think it will work too....because I know I have mites in my room. I see them regularly and like I said, a plant in veg had the web-tent on the top like a week or two ago. No leaf damage on anything.

So, if I see those mites in the veg room again, I'm going to let them go at it, and feed, spray and prune the plant like always. I may very well spray the other plants with something to insure they don't get infested, but I'd like to see if the plant can fight them off. I'm pretty sure it can.

I think the foliar sprays also irritate the bastards, knock some of them off, and generally make their short, horrible lives miserable. So we got that going for us....which is nice.

The bud wash? There's no way I'll ever not do that again.

Same here. Difference in quality is easily noticed. Thanks doc, nobody I know washes their buds! And I tell them about the wash technique and they think I'm crazy. But then I turn them onto a washed nug and its like "damn that shit is smooth!" And I'm all, "bud wash! Not even cured yet - just awesome after wash and dry! Try it!"

Haha so sick. Love it!

Right on! We're raising the bar of quality. We've all got to do a lot better if we want to have a part in the coming Cannabis industry.

The shit we grow now will be for cattle feed.....there's lots of room for improvement. We have the best plant on earth....why not learn to grow it the best way possible?

Time to ditch prohibition growing and start growing scientifically.
