Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

This 100% Sativa strain is a cross of Meao Thai and an early and stable Mexico/Colombia. The exceptional backcross of two of our best females took over 7 years. The total acclimatisation of the mother Thai has been so difficult that we decided to introduce an earlier Sativa, as well as productive, and add its characteristics. The result is a strain which represents the state-of-the-art of Sativa with an exotic predominance of Thai. The small and numerous branches are covered with a big amount of trichomes full of THC, carrying even 92 trichomes in some branches by mm2. Environmental conditions should be rather dry during bloom and with nutrients level quite low, specially nitrogen. Flowering period is from 8 to 12 weeks depending of growing conditions. Medium/high yield outdoors and some less in indoors. Suitable with grows using SOG and SCROG techniques.

Hey doc this is destroyer...I believe graytail has grown this.....anyway note the line....carrying even 92 thrics per mm2. I would love a journal from you growing that!

?: Would calling us the heirloom gardeners of cannabis be a misnomer? I feel we have an opportunity to take tired over cut, over mothered, under pest/disease reistant strains and reinvigorate them.

I am familiar with several hydro/coco strains where people running them would really benefit from kick starting their strain with a high brix mother (many of these strains are virtually extinct, seedless, run only in certain circles, but certainly need this invigoration).

I sure hope this is the case. My cuts are holding strong. I hope they continue.

Cool, dry nights help a bit.

I saw your plants....they look freakin' awesome!

They continue to grow. Grape Ape (purple one) comes down next week. Paki is just beginning week six, along with Champagne.

Just checked the calender tonight. Ya Doc....thanks for the temp.and R.H. tip. Got it covered. Hoping for more these last 20 days. Send them some vibes from your world would ya bud!:Namaste::high-five:

Right on Doc, as usual everything is just gorgeous.

Bought my Pro-Mix today, have my "soil-cooking totes" all ready and labeled... would have it all mixed up, but my local grow store is a bust when it comes to Worm Castings... $22.50 for a .75CuF bag of (.5-.4-.5) EWC, so I decided just to order 30lbs Wiggle Worm. Should be here around the 7th.... Can't wait to get things cookin'!

Going to have a lot of fun this summer! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey Doc, quick question for you.

I obviously want to use this soil again after its inaugural run, however I wont be bringing it indoors (based on your recommendation) as not to contaminate my indoor grow area. How should I store my used soil, so that I can use it again next summer?... (is that even an option?)

Thanks!

Doc, I know your not real big on checking ph, but wondered if you could comment on the following. I've been using tap water and I learned today it has a hardness level of 165 and ph of 7.5. My understanding is that cannabis likes the ph around 6.0-6.3. Any recommendations regarding kit and the ph? Would an adjustment be in order? Thanks.

Just toss it in a bin and keep it covered. Come Spring, add EWC, Roots! and water it....wait a month, Good to go.

Looks great doc.

How is your success rate with the cuts? Are you using a heat pad? Using any cloning products?

Somehow I went from 100% strike rate to about 10%. It might be the cold ass winter that is just winding down or ???
On a positive note I did have success with a cutting of the sexiest lady in my harem.

I'm at about 99% on cuttings. I use a standard cloning tray with the heat mat underneath. RapidRooters/RootRiot plugs and clonex.

I've done a few in dirt too, but I can manage the plugged ones really easily and they're easier to cull when I don't need 'em.
